Λ π€ ββ about me !
β robin
β eighteen
β he/him/his
β enjoys: horror, coming of age, queer themes, romance, angst, hurt/comfort, long & complex storylines, descriptive writing, interesting character relationships
β i really only roleplay queer characters/relationships
β i don't do fandoms, only original roleplays
Λ π€ ββ rules / guidelines !
β the minimum age i'll roleplay with is 17.
β i'm selective about who i roleplay with, so for that reason, i ask that you send an example of your writing style. if i decline your roleplay request, please don't keep messaging me and trying to convince me to change my mind.
β my non-negotiable writing rules are: third person, past or present tense, multiple paragraphs, and proper grammar & spelling (this does not mean i'll crucify you for a little spelling mistake, it just means your replies should be readable without me struggling.)
β these aren't rules, but some things i really love in peoples' writing is: vivid imagery, insight into how a character thinks & feels, and using the "show not tell" principle.
β literacy is good, but quality > quantity. it's okay if some of your replies are on the shorter side, as long as the quality of the writing doesn't drop. there's no need to mirror my reply length.
β please work with me. roleplays are meant to be a collaborative effort. if only one of us is leading the story what's the point of even roleplaying? also i hate when we're in the planning stage and my partner isn't matching my energy. like, just block me at that point, because you're boring.
β speaking of ghosting, i don't really care. it happens. sometimes you lose interest in a roleplay. however, it's probably better for both of us if you just outright tell me that you don't want to roleplay anymore. this way, i won't keep messaging you about it.
homophobia and transphobia will not be tolerated. i'm fine with using it for plot if it's handled respectfully and tactfully, but i won't deal with it from my rp partner.

"A scale of hotness isn't objective, Ian."
Jonathan blew a puff of smoke out of his mouth. He coughed the words out as he handed the joint off to Ian, who grabbed it, but didn't take a hitβhe was too busy staring at the way Jonathan's shirt rode up around his middle when he slumped down in the old armchair. His stomach was toned from years of school swim team experience.
It was two o' clock in the morning on a Tuesday. They had school in less than six hours, Ian's parents were right upstairs (with no idea that Jonathan was even there), and the two of them were getting high in Ian's basement.

It was two o' clock in the morning on a Tuesday. They had school in less than six hours, Ian's parents were right upstairs (with no idea that Jonathan was even there), and the two of them were getting high in Ian's basement.
Somewhere, in the cloudy haze of his thoughts, a part of Ian was worried that he wouldn't manage to be sober up before his parents woke up. Or that, even if he did, they would smell the weed on him. Mostly though, he just felt floaty. Like he was riding on a jellyfish in the sky.
"
A scale of hotness," Jonathan continued once he got his coughing under control, "is subjective. I can't be an objective ten."
"Okay, but the extremes are objective," Ian argued. "Everyone agrees on what a perfect ten is."
"Who the fuck is everyone?"
"Everyone," Ian repeated stubbornly. He gestured vaguely around the room, as though the everyone that he was referring to was somehow hiding in his dingy little basement. "Like, the girls at school and stuff. They're always staring and drooling over you."
Jonathan stared at him for a moment. Then, he laughed. "You," he said in a sing-song, "are jealous. You don't like that girls are paying attention to me."
"No, I don't," Ian agreed without thinking. He didn't use to care, but now something bitter and ugly threatened to claw its way out of his throat whenever he saw a girl so much as giggling in Jonathan's direction.

Jonathan stumbled out of the chair and plopped down on the floor in front of Ian. He leaned forward, cradling Ian's cheek with his hand. It felt cool against Ian's skin.
"Don't worry, baby," he cooed. "I like you best."

Λ π€ ββ roleplay plots !
β i don't really have a concrete plot in mind, we can discuss that together but basically: gay teen romance. enemies turned unlikely friends turned pining idiots turned lovers. lots of internalized homophobia and angst. the slowest of slow burns.
