It was a peaceful morning. Well, as peaceful as it could get in this busy city. In one of the highest skyscrapers, one young man sat near the window that gave a wide view of the city. He seems to enjoy his solitude, sipping his coffee while looking down at the lively street below him. But his peaceful moment was interrupted by another person who just entered the room.

"Surya," said a deep voice, "I see you have been used to the atmosphere of this place."

The man called Surya turned to the source of voice, "Of course," he put his cup on the table, "I got to be accustomed to the place that I'll run someday," he said with a bit of humor, "or else this company would be in for disaster." He grinned, "Right, father?"

His father rose an eyebrow, "That's a very relaxed attitude you got there, son," he took the seat on the other side of the table, "Now Surya, there's something I need to tell you."

"Go on," he took his coffee cup back. From the solemn tone his father used, he assumed this would be about something related to the company.

"You see, now you are already 22 years old..." his father began, "I think it's the right time for you to find someone."

Surya stared at him for a moment before he laughed, "Alright father, I don't have any special girl right now, but you don't have to worry, sure I-"

His father cut him off, "Now, I didn't talk about it because I was worried," he steepled his fingers on the table, "far from that, since I've arranged your marriage with the best girl I could find."

Surya almost choked on his coffee, "Wai- marry- arrange- what?!" he looks completely shocked, "What do you mean by that?!"

Evie, a small blonde haired girl was sitting on the edge of her bed and began to flickthrough a book quietly. She often read over the weekends and weekdays, it was a great hobby that she enjoyed it was only when she heard a soft knocking on her door when she placed her book down.

"Come in" she mumbles softly, though she knew it would be her mother coming in to check on her when she was perfectly fine. She had been right, as she watched her mother's head pop through the door.

"I need to talk to you" she says, and begins to walk into her room without permission, she seemed rather eager about whatever it is that she had to speak to her about.

Evie nods, curious. What had she done now? She shrugged and watched as her mother sat beside her.

"I recently have been thinking, you're 20 now. You should start thinking of having a husband. I've been recruiting many parents that are willing to let their son's have a wife and I found someone, who would be perfect for you and we have arranged a marriage for you both" she smiles.

Evie just looked confused, a mix of emotions entwining into one.
