Interest Check Questions

Lady Warlock

Anime RN
Where should people be putting interest checks for voice rps on discord? I am of the belief that someone should not be putting a statement that says, "I am looking for a partner for voice rps" or something of the sort within the fandom interest checks section especially when they never mention an idea or a fandom anywhere in the statement, but I'm looking to verify this.

Chat RPs follow the same Interest Check requirements as any other RP. Post an Interest Check in the genre that you're going to be playing, since that would be where your prospective partner(s) would be looking.

Are you required to mention some semblance of an idea that shows it is related to the genre you put it in?

Not particularly. RPN's rules are for organization and spam prevention, not quality control. If their interest check is poorly defined, it will struggle to get off the ground, but penalizing people for that is a bit much.

Is it acceptable for a player to comment on an interest check where the only thing they say is "I am always open to partners or rps" telling them that that would be better placed in the One v. One thread as opposed to the fandom interest check thread?

That all depends on the RP you are wanting to create. If you want to create a 1x1 RP you can have up to two other participants befor you cross over into one of the group RP genres. As the RP creator, you have to say over who can and cannot join your RP, just so long as the reason for your accepting or declining a user does not contravene site rules. If a user comments that they would be okay doing either a group or 1x1 it is entirely up to you whether you want to run your RP in which over format suits you. If you posted the Interest Check in 1x1 and decide to make it larger, you can always contact one of the staff to move it to the genre of your choice and, if you created a group RP Interest Check but decided to just have yourself and a couple other players, then it could easily be placed in the 1x1 section.
