Name: Zai
Age: 24
Bending type: Fire
Appearance: Zai is a tall muscular black haired boy with dark brown eyes. He has a french crop hair-cut that is styled on top to make a slight fringe along the hairline. His face is well-defined with a strong jaw and freckles sprinkled under his eyes. He has a small scar over his top lip, barely visible unless you get a close-up.
Personality/background: Zai's personality can best be described as stoic and brooding. He is from a low-class family in Republic City. Both of his parents were non-benders and left their families in the fire nation when they were younger. From a young age he has had to learn to put his emotions aside to care for others in his family, since his father died in a factory accident when he was young. His little sister is a non-bender as well and has been very sick all her life. He started fighting in underground rings as a kid to make money, after years of being pushed around he was able to harness his skills and get into pro-bending. Pro-bending is a way for him to let out what he is feeling, and by no means does he go easy on anyone. His presence is humble and quiet, he can seem unapproachable but he has the desire to have friends trust him fully. Zai is somewhat hypocritical because he is unable to communicate his true feelings and is often quick to recede behind sarcasm and false optimism. He grows uncomfortable if any weakness is shown. He bounces back from conflict easily and doesn’t often choose to hold grudges. However his temper can be set off easily, and can be explosive even if it takes something significant to get him too angry.

Name: Charlie
Age: 21
Bending Type: Earth
Appearance: She has red ish brown hair and dark brown eyes. She keeps her hair chin-length and rarely attempts at pulling it back. She is around 5'4 and is surprisingly strong.
Personality/background: Charlie is a friendly and outgoing individual. She is very optimistic and often times tries new things. She is pretty good around people and tries her best to be a good person. When she was young she was discovered to have earth bending powers, and was sent to a sort of school to learn how to control them. She excelled in her ability and became well known from performing in activities that involved earth bending.
Why they were chosen for the Insurgency: Her skills in earth bending on the pro-team
Name: Shio
Bending Type: Water
Appearance: Dark brown hair styled into a half-up half-down ponytail and eyes as blue as the deepest ocean, this fit, fairly attractive, tanned, 5’10 man wears the traditional short sleeve waterbender’s attire. Due to this, you can see tattoos like crashing waves along his right arm & shoulder.
Personality/background: to an influential family of the Northern Water Tribe, Shio spent most of his life preparing to inherit his father’s position as the patriarch of his clan. His childhood consisted of a formal education, surrounded by other kids of status, where discipline and tradition took precedence. However, as Shio grew up he began to be bored of everything, of needing to study to inherit a position he never asked for, having to constantly deal with other students he never saw eye to eye with, constantly pressured to make connections with the young princes. So he decided to throw it all away, he started to skip class, laze off, cause mischief around the tribe, and constantly get into fights. Eventually, his clan had enough and forced him to take lessons with a waterbending master, Sensei Jolyu. At first, Shio was hesitant soon he had found a passion for the art of waterbending and fervently studied it, loving to duel and fight using his newfound talent. However, his lazy, relaxed, and flirtatious attitude found him committing a serious insult to the chief princess of the tribe and was forced to flee for safety in republic city. There he found pro-bending and decided to become one for the fun of it, eventually leading him to join Zai’s team.
Why they were chosen for the Insurgency: He was the waterbender on Zai’s team, so it just felt right to include him despite his uncaring attitude.
Name: Wyn
Age: 20
Bending Type: Non-bender
Appearance: Wyn is a bit taller than average, standing at around 5'8". She has a lengthy build with thin hips and waist. On top of her head sits a long curly mane of dirty blonde hair. She likes to keep it up in a bun, but she will wear it both ways. Wyn is very fair skinned with a brush of light blonde freckles sprinkled under her eyes. She wears large circular glasses and dresses in traditional Republic City robes.
Personality/background: Wyn was born to cartographer in the country-side, just outside of Republic City. Her mother died when she was very young of an illness, so it was mostly just her and her father all her life. Wyn learned all her cartographer skills from her father, from mapping out their country oasis to tracking down and studying different species of animals. She would travel with her father to the Ba-Sing-Se to sell his maps and speak with other with the same interests. She has since moved to Republic City and is working in the planning department, mapping out city sewage, landmarks, and other things to help with the layout of the city. Wyn is a very quiet girl, but she can have a sharp tongue and stands up for what she believes in. Wyn has a hard time making friends due to her head always being stuck in map. She is lonely sometimes and wishes someone would understand her and accept her for who she is.
Why they were chosen for the Insurgency: Her skills in tracking and map reading.
Name: Fen
Age: 22
Bending Type: Air
Appearance: At 5'0", Fen is the shortest girl among her peers. Her short height gives her a cute charm. Her jet black hair brush her slim waist and her small face is graced with a set of big, hazel eyes, an upturned nose, a full mouth and dimples that appear every time she smiles, which she does quite often.
Personality/background: She was born to two non-benders and has a non-bender brother, so it can be said that she was born special. Her family hadn't had a bender in three generations before her. This has put a lot of burden on her to achieve mastery in air bending. Despite the burden, Fen has always been the jolliest child of her parents. She's always looking for adventure and an opportunity to improve her skills. This has made her incredibly popular because she likes to show off by excelling in every challenge. With popularity comes people who hate her for being so popular. This affects Fen but she doesn't let herself be bullied and stands up for herself, and for anyone else who gets bullied. She's fierce when it comes to protecting those she loves and can become quite intense but other times, her attitude is always positive and her mood quite literally airy.
Why they were chosen for the Insurgency: She was chosen for her skills in airbending.
The Grim
Name: Kana Crowe (Leader)
Age: 19
Bending Type: Earth
Appearance: Kana is a taller girl, standing at 5'8". Her build is that of a martial artist: athletic, muscled, and strong, but deceptively slim. She has to be, for moving around rocks all day. Her mousey brown hair comes down to her shoulder with curtain bangs sweeping over her bright green eyes.
Personality/background:Appearance: Kana was brainwashed long ago by her father. Non-benders NEED to submit. Kana is very type A, everything must be planned and thought out. When her father died she didn't feel ready to take on this organization, but her brother showed her that together, anything they want to do is possible. Sometimes she feels conflicted about the path that was laid out before her, but Kana is never one to back down from a fight.

Name: Cyrus Crowe
Age: 23
Bending Type: Non-bender
Appearance: Black hair, dark grey eyes. He has quite a few scars and is around 5'6.
Personality/background: Cyrus grew up in a family that was already criminal ridden, being raised in a way that lead to him having the same mentality. He learned combat skills and defense at a young age through the families illegal background. He is pretty sassy at times, and can be manipulative, but would never be a brat due to his high power status. He believes that if he dies, he will die with honor. Who knows, maybe he even has a good side to him, but it wouldn't be easy to find it.
