Mirabel Hamilton has spent some time on her career, but she has spent MUCH MORE of time dating. So, much so that she had gave up on finding him herself. So, Mirabel hired a match maker to help her find a man. So, later Mirabel has given up on ever finding a man and started looking at adoptions.

Now, Mirabel has a problem. Her matchmaker, who had gone silent for a whole year, has suddenly came through with who she thinks will be the best match of all time for Mirabel, and from what she has told her Mirabel has high expectations. At the same time...Mirabel has just brought home Annabelle, her new baby.

How is she possibly going to go about dating her dream date and playing new mom? How does anyone do this?

How are you going to deal with this?

Instant Family:

Whether you are a new couple, taking care of a relative's child or a single person with an arranged marriage to someone who has just taken custody of a child or simply two friends who decided to take care of a third's child; things have changed for you!

Now you have a significant other and a child to look after, or in Mirabel's case a child and a significant other. Things are going to be confusing for the next few days, there's going to be crying in the middle of dinner, and cat calls during bedtime stories.

To make matters worse your new significant other/child has some strange tendencies. Sometimes you walk into a room and notice that the baby has escaped the play pen, AGAIN. Like they've just been pushing the whole thing on it's side constantly. Other times your boyfriend, has undercooked the steaks, AGAIN. Like he is into raw meat or something. Of course there's the girlfriend that only has time to hangout at night, and the baby that keeps finding it's way onto the tall furniture. The question is what combination of child and spouse did you get?

Name of the Game:

Your family aren't all going to get along at first. It will take a bit before your significant other finally wins over your stubborn niece, or even take you time to decide that they are the man/woman of your dreams.

Until your ready to say I do (or don't as the case may be) and the kid is won over, the game continues.

Controls:

Both of the members in the couple control the baby.

In the case of a child:

The child is controlled by the member that is related to it (the uncle controls his niece etc.)

The child is controlled by both if the child is the child of a late third person (in the case of two friends being a couple) and if the child is adopted.

This is based on the child's personality. A child is more likely to act like a relative than a stranger, however babies are undeveloped.

How you guys know each other:

Of course you could argue that two guys met in a grocery store, buying diapers or at a bar griping about women with baggage. You could choose to be very creative. If that is not the case, your cop out is that all of you have spoken in a chat room entitled 'Instant Family'.

I might put something here later, but the gist of it is that you all live in the Concord metropolitan area.

Some of you may want to live in the city, or work there.

Some of you may want to live in the suburbs, or work there.

Some of you still, want to make that long drive into town to meet-up with the rest of your group.

1. No cybering. I shouldn't have to say it, but there it is.

2. Follow ToS. For those of you oblivious to this abbreviation. "Follow Terms of Service (of Rp Nation)"

3. No omnipresence. Unless there is a reasonable way you know something, (i.e. it happened in public and a friend of your saw it, you were in the room, you were on the phone with someone, someone told you online etc.)

4. Fighting is allowed. Don't godmod.

5. Don't have your character's lives revolve solely around their family. It makes it easier to write more material and have dynamic characters if they have other things to worry about. Work and friends add to their lives as well.

6. I am pretty lax on what supe you want to be. If you are having trouble here are a few I won't mind seeing:

-Human, some people forget to play them.

-Vampire, one probably

-Werewolf, one please play responsibly (don't kill the seer first give'em a chance) also other wereanimals.

-Alchemist, willing to accept up till two of them

-Superpowered, two powers max (lightning + wind; water + flying etc.)

-Shinigami or Grim Reaper, you might want to ease that knowledge on your partner.

-transforming person, (human -> bird, human -> cat. etc.)

7. I will not take furries. Strike the thought from your head right now.

8. Last but not least...No one sentence posts. If you cannot think of anything, wait until you have something. I don't mind five sentence posts. Just make sure you give the other person something to work with.
