A few other notes for your characters. I am going to give everyone a free Strain Resistant Chassis Mod (AKA Ox Body Technique) for every dot of Permanent Essence you have. These do not take up a Charm slot or require any Essence to be committed to them to have them installed. This is not to be taken as a hint that there will be a lot of combat; I just want to make sure that when a fight does take place, everyone has a good chance to make it out in one piece.

  • Name: Mercurial Intelligence Alloy

Concept: Heart-sore spy specialized in infiltration and information-gathering

    Exaltation: Moonsilver Caste Alchemical

    Motivation: Uncover conspiracy in Kamak.

    History

Over the ages, many souls in Kamak led to Mercurial Intelligence Alloy's creation. Fovek was a legendary factory supervisor who pioneered a new type of pressure relief valve. Elastin was a Surgeon who specialized in cold-weather injuries but heroically saved eighty seven workers contaminated with a pipe-burst toxin before succumbing herself. Her most recent life, Merek, was a double agent co-opted by Estasia, who spent his life feeding the other nation vital intelligence before turning triple agent in the end and bringing down an entire conspiracy against Kamak.

Mercurial Intelligence Alloy is no stranger to conspiracy. Wrought out of moonsilver, her most recent life formed much of the foundation for her new personality when she became alive. Tasked with infiltrating and spying on the incredibly private lives of Kamak's people, Mercurial Intelligence Alloy took to her assignment with resignation for she shared her people's aversion to intrusion from outside the home. And for the first three years of her life, she was brilliantly successful...only no one outside of the government knew of it.

Still, Mercurial Intelligence Alloy was both beautiful and demurely shy in the ways of love. Such a combination enthralled the Surgeon Avri, who sought out and at last won the heart of this young Moonsilver Alchemical. The two women wed in Kamak fashion and thrived for almost seven years, each of them finding acclaim in their chosen field. Their happiness was not to last, though, for the trail of a One Tier Movement conspiracy inevitably led Mercurial Intelligence Alloy to her own door. Discovering that Avri had used her marital status to her to mask the Populat cabal's activities, Mercurial Intelligence Alloy brought her own wife before the Regulators. The heartbroken Alchemical is said to have scarred her own marriage tattoo, breaking the binding of their vows.

That was a year ago. Since then, the young Moonsilver Caste has thrown herself back into her work with renewed vigor. At least solving mysteries gives her something to think about other than solving her own personal life. And at least work will keep her busy enough to put the loss of her wife Avri out of her mind.

    Personality

Mercurial Intelligence Alloy is a controlled woman. From inception on, she has never been a passionate creature, neither moved overly much by the heart, driven to righteous rage or obsessed with accomplishment. This self-control led her to success, time and time again, as Mercurial Intelligence Alloy never broke character in one of her many guises.

Whatever she was like before or during her marriage, it's plain that the treachery of her wife Avri has deeply scarred the malleable Moonsilver Caste in ways even her protean nature can't heal. These days, she's quiet, shy and conservative, rarely speaking unless spoken to first. She's a fiercely focused infiltrator and spy, unaccustomed to working in teams but willing. Her partnership with her elemental Familiar, Sineaq, offers her a rare friendship and the two work harmoniously together to carry out their assignments. Sineaq also knew Avri and represents one of the only beings in Autochthon that Mercurial Intelligence Alloy trusts enough to talk about her profound feelings of betrayal as well as her bittersweet mixed feelings of yearnings for the beautiful Surgeon who still holds her heart.

    Appearance

Mercurial Intelligence Alloy is a gleaming silvery Alchemical in her natural state, seemingly wrought out of liquid moonsilver. Closer inspection (and touch) reveals much of her surface is actually silvered clay with strips of moonsilver spiraling across skin like a subtle pattern of tattoos. She's slim for an Alchemical and most of her visible Charms blend seamlessly into the silver landscape of her skin. Golden eyes gleam in a face wrought like artwork and her long metallic hair is bound back in a traditional Kamaki braid. Only an elaborate double knot tattoo on her left temple breaks up the theme of flawless metal perfection, as it's drawn in delicate black ink...and marred by a vertical scar slashing the knots asunder.

When she's not working undercover, Mercurial Intelligence Alloy favors one of Kamak's soft black robes with hood, ironically concealing most of her silvery appearance. Complete with gloves, sturdy boots and a scarf across her mouth, only her eyes and her soulgem are bared to the world. Of course, when working undercover, her wardrobe is whatever it needs to be to blend in. The difference in how much skin she shows has led to a few Sodalities to speculate that she's ashamed of her Alchemical appearance, or perhaps feels she has something to hide, especially since she doesn't need the winter clothes to stay warm.

In manner, Mercurial Intelligence Alloy is quiet, soft-spoken and demure. She listens well and her body language shows every sign of her giving her partner her full attention. In motion, her movements are small, controlled and very precise and she's often as still as a statue when there's no need for activity. Her undercover roles are much more animated in body language so she's capable of emoting but seems to choose not to in her natural form. Mercurial Intelligence Alloy smiles little and often seems shadowed by a sadness she's never managed to escape.

  • Name: Radiant Godmetal Exemplar

Concept: Newly-forged Cleric of Kadmek with memories of an extra-special someone from his past

    Exaltation: Orichalcum Caste Alchemical

Motivation: Inspire the Populat to emulate the excellence of Kadmek

    History

The defining souls that make up Radiant Godmetal Exemplar's soulstone were almost all strongly religious.

Hekak was one of the original followers of Kamak, setting up the settler camp around the ancient's fledgeling city. He bound the people together during the city's slow expansion, leading the defense against the encroaching Autochthonian hazards, praying in his free time to the greater glory of Kamak. His only other obsession was his rival, Gerama, who led a neighboring camp and with whom Hekak had a mutually antagonistic relationship.

Bekar was one of the first Grand Lectors of the Cult of Kadmek, methodical in his duties and conscious of The Divine Minister's master plan for the beautification of Autochthon's immense interior. His wife and Sub-Lector, Eremek, bore him many sons and daughters, the descendents of whom still reside within the mighty city.

Oriban was an unregarded worker, devoted to his white shift overseer position for Type-12 sprocket-gear assembly construction. He and his wife Meredina chose to be euthanized when their district suffered a famine due to the local food dispensary becoming contaminated with Gremlin Syndrome and having to be destroyed. Their sacrifice allowed their children and grandchildren to eke out the meager supplies they were allocated until a new food dispensary could be brought on line.

Radiant Godmetal Exemplar is strongly aware that his previous souls have all had one defining trait, they have had very strong feelings of love or hate for a single other person that had endured throughout their existence. It disturbs him greatly to learn that the distillation of those other souls have been crystalized into another Alchemical's soulstone.

Radiant Godmetal Exemplar was created relatively recently in recognition of the rise of Void cults and their continued covert recruitment amongst the Populat. It was decided to create a Champion who extolled the virtues of the beautiful structures and industrial forms that surrounded the citizens of Kamak. Exemplar was instructed in the principles of Kadmek's cult, backed up by the memories of Bekar and Hakak, to remind people that excellence is the goal of all Autochthonians and that every day is a step closer to that goal. As a newly-created Champion, Exemplar has yet to truly prove his worth beyond the shining beacon of hope to the people of Kamak, but he personally remains optimistic that his quest for personal excellence will strengthen his resolve.

    Personality

Radiant Godmetal Exemplar exudes raw charm and personal presence. When his shimmering, golden form enters a room, be it a tiny office or a vast manufactory, his physical presence dominates everything. His manner is bold and confident, yet humble and self-effacing when confronted by the adoration of the Populat workers he so often visits. He tends toward optimism, rarely seeing the dark clouds without the silver lining or the oil slick without the rainbow. He tends to be an idealist and a dreamer, strongly driven by the desire to promote the potential on all people.

    Appearance

Radiant Godmetal Exemplar is a walking glistening temple to the glories of Kadmek. His physique is sculptured and heavily athletic, like a Spartan warrior cast in gold. His bare skin is uniformaly flecked with shimmering orichalcum shards that sit near the surface and descend beneath the clay of his flesh. He tends to wear little more than a kilt of simple fabric, the better to show his own humility, along with a heavy synthetic leather belt from which his artifact razor claws hang, the better to show his martial prowess.

Two things that you may want to look at: First, your soak is very low and that concerns me. Artifact armor is relatively cheap, and that will help to keep you alive.

Second, double check your health levels. The Strain Resistant Chassis Mod gives either 2 -1s or 3 -2s, and you get an additional -2 level per dot of Essence per the rule book. Other than that, I like what I see.

Alas, Tiger Style precludes the use of armor. I suppose I could use Discreet Essence Armor, but that's about it. Updated and added the Discreet Essence Armor, calculated commitments and added any pertinent keywords. Also added Willpower and Clarity checkboxes.

Captain Hesperus

Captain, Charm wise, both Mutation Acquisition charm and Subcutaneous Armor Plating can perma and no mote cost (Out side of installation commitment) increase you natural unarmored soak while they're installed. Something that you may want to consider, should you find your soak lacking.

I'll look into those. I know that Tiger Style also has soak boosters in the tree, but something quicker to acquire would be helpful.

Captain Hesperus

  • Name: Mechanism Inherent Psyche

Concept: Spy, sniper, and perhaps seer who constantly fights his own inclinations toward alienation

    Exaltation: Starmetal Caste Alchemical

Motivation: Find or create a solution to the shortage of souls using the gifts of the Maker alone, without resorting to the mythical or uncertain risk that is Creation

    History

Psyche's soul entered the Luminor's records in Nurad's First Progressive Era. Though it escaped the tragedy of Perygra a certain oddness has always followed it. Though it showed many of the signs that would mark a plot-weaver its progress was interrupted numerous times by periods as a Drone. The most notable of these occurred during the crisis surrounding the Viator of Nullspace. Sen Dolen was a minor Harvester. Upon his return from the reaches, no longer fully human, he repaired the connection to several obsolete municipal charms before shedding his altered state. When the Viator approached the nation their true utility of the charms became apparent when they allowed cities to reshape the near reaches to close off all access to the nation, a feature the Theoplastic Engineering Protocol has long ago replaced. Nevertheless the terror moved elsewhere, seeking easier prey.

In his current incarnation he is portrayed in propaganda as an almost ephemeral figure. He travels unseen, knows things he couldn't possibly know, and acts without leaving a trace. Much of the rumors of the mythical Adamant caste have been used to shore up his reputation and redirect the Populate's attention from the apocryphal ones. Though he has expressed interested in turning his talents against gremlins, he has generally been assigned the duty of identifying and removing Voidbring cells. He has excelled in that task, uncovering much that was though hidden in private domiciles without being seen to enter. His signature weapon, a crossbow with highly ornate bolts, has brought down many enemies of the state. How he manages to do so when those enemies are in locked rooms with no spare keys is anyone's guess.

    Personality

Psyche is best thought of as two, or perhaps even three, different people who happen to flow from and into each other. The first is a distant being of nearly perfect clarity who is only ever seen when events of great import about are about to occur. His long, and mostly self-imposed, isolation leads to that state from which it is difficult to return.

When orders or the vestiges of attachment bring him back toward humanity the change is remarkable to those who know him well. While still quiet and thoughtful, he shows his affection or displeasure in a thousand subtle ways. His husband always wakes to find a hot cup of kaf and the reports from the prior shifts, an obstructionist functionary finds one leg of his chair shorter than the others, a child who asked for his name-glyph and appears unanswered finds it in her pocket later, and so forth.

The last falls somewhere between the two. He withdraws even from those close to him, spending time in lightless chambers flaring enormous quantities of essence, and speaks not of why. Such episodes sometimes lead to wordless departures, apparently sudden requisitions or proposals, and stranger things besides. Some, when they are certain he is far away, whisper that he may be touched by the void. For the moment these times are rare and mostly harmless. Time will tell if they remain so.

    Appearance

Mechanism Inherent Psyche’s tall, almost skeletal, form is felt more than seen. His build suggests wiry flexibility more than strength and the slow grace of his motions sometimes brings the inhuman precision of the ex-machine to mind. Though rarely seen, hair thin starmetal yantra cover his skin in glyphs and patterns of auspicious design. In public he prefers to keep his features covered, a practice that only serves to isolate and idealize him in the eyes of the populate.

  • Name: The Needed Part Packed by Instinct (Instinta to her friends)

Concept: A Broken Crafter, trying to fix herself

Exaltation: Starmetal caste Alchemical Champion of Autochthon

Motivation: To... To... To fix the error calls in her soul and elsewhere in Autochthonia

Commission: Technician built to develop the technology Kamak does not yet know it needs.

    Personality

Broken... She is 'unhinged' from Autochthonian society. She is directionless, independent, and suffers from wanderlust. She doesn't fit in to any slot that Autochthonia has for it's champions and doesn't seek to. In a way that perplexes all those who have authority over her, she feels absolutely fine with being a loose cog bouncing around a highly complex system.

    Quotes

"I'm not a Martial Artist, I'm a Martial Scientist, now set up the target again so I can determine the likelihood of this essence form detonating."

    Appearance

It's said that all alchemicals exit the vat in a state of physical maturity, an iconic pinnacle of some visual esthetic, to aid in just how awe inspiring or frightful their posters must be... Must be nice.

Instinta isn't like that. She's lanky and under developed, a drawn out awkward growth stage model of an uninspiring girl. She lacks the 'vast submodules' most female model alchemicals have to the point they should thank the Great Maker for a white Jade spinal column. Her starmetal infuses clay offered only A cups, the barest hints of hour glassing to her hips, and long skinny limbs that seem awkward and unwieldy.

Instinta's hair is... well. Her scalp contains a mess of minuet chains of the different magical materials, including every color of jade. While these were supposed to hang loose and blend into a shimmering kaleidoscopic rainbow, they refuse to. Each magical material and color jade seems galvanized to cling to other chains of the same alloy, leaving her with a spiky collection of different colored lockes.

  • Name: Last Argument of Maker and Populat

    Concept: Defender of the People

    Exaltation: Jade Caste Alchemical

Motivation: Protect the people of Kamak

    History

The souls that have gone into forming the Last Argument of Maker and Populat have suffered more for the sake of their fellow men than is common even among the Champions of Autochton. They were the ones who took upon them the most thankless tasks, who went forward knowing they would die in ignominy because it was their duty to their Maker, their country, and their people.

He is among the most martial of Kamak's Champions. In times of peace, his primary duties are guarding his nation's most important members, and training its people in unarmed combat and the mysteries of the Perfected Lotus. In war, he is often called upon to lead small units of elite soldiers in battle where the fighting is thickest.

    Appearance

Something went wrong when Last Argument took his form, and rather than appearing as a man of clay and metal, he is entire blank. His face is a lifeless oval, his limbs perfect cylinders with joints that let them move with an eery grace, and despite his best efforts, he comes across as distinctly disconcerting.

When battle is imminent, Last Argument will have his Manifold Transhuman Implants installed, causing him to double in height and girth, and making long, razor-sharp chains of green jade to fall from his the top of his head like deadly dreadlocks.

Don't forget that with your Artifact background, you get a total of 15 points to spend. After the Infinite Resplendence Amulet, you still have 10 points left.

And also recall that you get a free martial arts charm with the purchase of the Perfected Lotus Matrix, meaning you also have 6 spare BP.

  • Name: Shadow Blade of Justice

Concept: Newly-forged Assassin of Kadmek with memories of an extra-special someone from her past

    • Exaltation: Starmetal Caste Alchemical
    • Motivation: Seek out and eliminate idolators, blasphemers, heretics, sedition, and apostates

    History

In all her previous lives, Shadow Blade of Justice was a woman of great passion, devoted to her home and her god.

Gerama was a leader of a religious camp that devoted themselves to the followings of Kamak. She worked hard to install in her people an understanding of their duty to Autchthonia and their constant vigilance against that which would separate them from that duty. She was a passionate woman who had married young and had been widowed young. She had a clear, bright vision for her people. The only person who made her feel any great passions was the leader Hekak of a rival camp

Eremek and her husband, Bekar were both Grand-Lectors of the Cult of Kadmek. She worked alongside her husband with the conscious understanding of the master plan for the beautification of Autochthon's immense Interior. Though as passionate as her husband, much of Eremek's time was spent in taking care of their numerous children and grandchildren. She felt it was her duty to instill in them the same passion and dedication as both she and her husband.

Meredina was a woman of no consequence during her life. She lived, she worked, she played. She was humble and dutiful and loved her husband with every fiber of her being. She adored her children and their children with no less passion. She was a loyal citizen and full of faith. She led her life with duty and honor. She and her husband, Oriban, and their family found themselves facing a famine when the food at the local dispensary became contaminated. Having lived a good life, the couple volunteered to undergo euthanasia so that their children and their children had a chance to survive. She died in peace, with her husband at her side.

Shadow Blade of Justice came to awareness with a soulgem filled with the memories of previous souls that had centered around another. Be it love, hate, or strong attraction, her previous souls was always connected to the same soul. Her most recent memories were of deep love for this other soul. She is cognizant that the soulstone has been crystalized into an Alchemical.

    Shadow Blade of Justice
was created for the purpose of seeking out and destroying those who preached sedition, committed idolatry, were heretical, blasphemers, and were apostates of the faith. Through her contacts, she managed to learn the name of the Alchemical who bore the soulstone of this other entity and it became her alternate mission to find him and meet him.

    Personality

Shadow Blade of Justice likes to work from the shadows. She is the one who goes bump in the night. She is what the clerics warn about when they try to lead people against leading lives with these sins. She offers up no mortal judgement, but kills her targets quickly. She offers no warning, no sympathy, and no remorse. She feels as if her actions protect everyone in Authochthonia from their words, their deeds, and even their thoughts. She is aware that these people have been given chances and options to repent and they have refused to do so. Hers is not so much the destruction of the guilty but the salvation of the innocent.

    Appearance

Shadow Blade of Justice is a tall, shapely woman who appears to be human. She is dressed in charcoal leathers that are lined with fur to protect against the cold. She wears a long cloak with a deep hood that she can draw up to hide her features but also allow her to watch that which occurs.

I don't see a section for your Charms yet, so that is something I am looking forward to seeing.

For everyone, I am hoping to see finished characters soon from those that have works in progress. If necessary, I can give those in need of more time and introduce you once your sheets are done, but I'd rather just have everyone ready to hit the floor running. Can we get sheets done by this Friday? That way we can start to post by the weekend.

Sorry, real life kinda happened real hard against me over the last two months or so... if I'm not to late, I would still like to make a character for this game. If not, I hope ya'll enjoy yourselves.
