Hello! The name's Chime (or as much as it can be said to be, anyways). You can call me...Chime. I'm obviously new to this forum, which I joined because I used to RP on a another site that died a few years ago. It was fun, so I ended up looking for somewhere else to do it, and! You can probably guess the rest. My sister joined too, at around the same time--she's seaslug. So, what should I put here...Some things about me:

  • I'm a teenager currently attending high school. And a girl, so she/her pronouns if you will.
  • Favorite color: Pastel purple
  • Hobbies: Reading, writing, occasionally biking, knitting, crochet, sewing...basically crafts in general (I'm not very athletic)
  • I have a terrible sense of humor. If I make a lot of puns or say a weird non sequitur ignore me. Also, I find a lot of things amusing so I might comment on something terribly unfunny.
  • I love reading. I love books a lot, okay, so if you know a good one please do recommend it to me (no adult content, though). I need more reading material 100% of the time.
  • For RPs, I'd like to do something with fantasy elements, be it in a modern setting or a different world entirely. Group RPs are also preferable.
  • Prepare for a plethora (heheh) of commas and ellipses while we're at it, because my brain wants me to make a bunch of pauses in things. Also, I use also a lot. But not really when I'm writing, just communicating.
  • I'm a little shy and a little nervous about joining this site. So please be easy on me if I mess up everything...I don't know anything about this site or more than a rather specific type of roleplaying.
  • As for the rest...it will come naturally, I suppose. I'm hoping to meet some nice people and have a fun time here!

Thanks for reading!

Welcome on the site then,i hope you will find a fun group rp soon! And well if you have questions just ask them :)

I'm not sure how far up your alley this is, but if you're looking for stuff to read, here is what'll I'll recommend to you. (On the off chance you haven't read these already.)

Watership Down, by Richard Adams

The Dragonlance Chronicles, by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman

Lord of the Flies by William Golding

Lord of the Flies was fantastic. The Giver and Fahrenheit 451 were both amazing as well. I've read both of those twice now, lol.

Welcome to the party. If your looking for a fantasy type rp I might be able to recommend one if your interested

@DemetrioMachete Thanks for the recommendations! I'd never heard of Watership Down before, though I've been soomewhat meaning to read Dragonlance Chronicles for a while. I just couldn't find them :( I'm sure that I'll have read Lord of the Flies before I get out of high school, though.

@poppet I guess I should read The Giver. It was supposed to be 8th grade summer reading homework but I ended up not having to do it because I moved.

@Quinlan63 I am in fact interested! Do tell.

@Kestrel You are officially amazing. Just...amazing.

Yes, it's really good. They made a movie about it, too, and while I generally don't like movies after I've already read the book, it was great also! But Fahrenheit 451 was even better. In my opinion. Just the implications alone were amazing for a book so old.

You do make them sound great. I never really thought much of the books we read in school but I suppose they're famous for a reason. Fahrenheit 451 is the one where they burn books, right?

I got my love of reading from school! The reading teachers in my district though are amazing. And yes, that's the one where they burn the books. Ray Bradbury wrote it beautifully.

Ah, I read a short story by Ray Bradbury in class once. It was amazing. Also really emotional. It's cool that your school was good, then! I've always liked my English teachers but more for their personalities than their teaching. Most of the books I read early on came from my elementary school library, the librarian was wonderful. Though I never really left the fantasy section, she suggested a lot of books from other genres that I loved.

Yeah, I always loved books and reading even in elementary. But it wasn't until a reading teacher in high school suggested a series by Janet Evanovich that I really got sucked into books. Of course I've only expanded since then and also prefer fantasy (the JE books weren't fantasy). Reading is just amazing. My husband doesn't understand it, lol. We're polar opposites. xD

That's nice! If you don't mind me asking, what was the series? It must have been good. There aren't a lot of people in my grade who still read a lot, that I know of.

It was the Stephanie Plum series. I think the first one is called One for the Money. They made a movie out of the first one with Katherine Heigl. I had really low expectations for it, which was good, because while the movie covered all its bases, it wasn't like the book in a few ways that people like me would have liked it to have been. There was also a sort of "sister series" that were "Wicked" books. Wicked Appetite, Wicked Charms... that had a more supernatural feel than the Stephanie Plum novels. They were also really good. ^_^

@poppet Sorry I didn't respond for so long! I had a thing to do, and then school. That sounds interesting, I'll be sure to check them out. Thanks once more!

@Kestrel Puns=amazing. Confetti=amazing. Therefore, you=amazing.

Chime to meet you! The name's BB, welcome to RpNation. Everybody is nice and the pins are plentiful. Though I suck at them big time. We've got all sorts of weirdos (including me, yaknow how it is) and other odds and ends. We've even got Twilight. Though, depending on whether you're thinking of the book or Twilight Sparkle is up to you.

I reckon you're gonna have a good time ;P

If you're looking for books, and you really like cats, you should give the Warriors series by Erin Hunter a go. It's got all your fantastical cat adventuring needs. BTW, you do need to read the first book and work your way up for anything to make sense though.

Thanks for the welcome :D I hope by Twilight you mean the Warriors book ;) I read those in, like, elementary school. Both my older siblings did so I ended up picking them up too. But I gave up after the Omen of the Stars series finished. I actually thought it was done there but couldn't bring myself to read the ones after when they came out...I just wasn't interested.
