This is space

space240-small-magellanic-cloud_66026_600x450.jpg

The crew of the Firefly roams the galaxy in search of Riches, everyone has a history and their own goals. Though the universe is unforgiving to those who are not prepared, landing on an unknown planet is dangerous, pissing off an alien warlord is even worse. But the most dangerous job in the universe? Treasure hunting. Traversing into an ancient alien fortress armed with nothing but your trusty pistol and a dagger in the pitch black night with no idea of what traps may be ready to impale, burn or lobotomize you and somehow the messed up minds in this small crew has only one word on their mind once they get to the riches at the end.

"Worth."

Known species:

1. Human - The most well known species, brave and arrogant though they are among the most fragile beings in the universe.

2. Cybernetically enhanced - Beings who have been enhanced with cybernetics, although improper upkeep of cybernetics can cause major issues.

3. Androids - Cybernetic beings of various size and appearance, though unlike the cybernetically enhanced technology is not advanced enough for an unlimited battery life.

4. El'ffaw (Non playable) - Alien species that closely resemble waffles, they are an aggressive warlike species who have wiped out entire planets and caused mass genocides, though they aren't particularly bright. Or tall.

5. Spliced- Aliens or Humans that have had their DNA mixed with that of animals, affecting them both in appearance and ability, though their lifetime is usually shortened due to the splicing.

6. Sci-hir - Insectoid race that very rarely require eating and whose exoskeletons make them hard to injure with melee weapons such as daggers, swords and axes. Though any kind of poison usually kill them within the hour.

7. Watyu - A generally peaceful species that live underwater. They are responsible for the construction of Hiraya station and require aquatic breathers in order to breathe outside of water. Despite being widely accepted as the best at large construction projects in the galaxy they generally have no sense of direction whatsoever.

8. Sigha - The drunkards of the galaxy. They not only brew some of the best intoxicating drinks but they also have some of the worst manners. If you try to show one of these guys up they're going to get pissed, though the spend most of their waking hours drunk so you generally don't have to worry about them.

9. Quserkani - if there were a race of uptight aristocrats in a the galaxy…they would be annoyed that someone was more uptight than them. A race steeped in tradition, aristocratic regal, splendor and blah blah blah…don’t believe the tourist pamphlets.

Important locations:

Hiraya station - The biggest space station in the known universe. It is the New York City of the universe, filled to brim with people of different species and social status and generally accepted as the first place to go once you are an adult. The most well known criminals and politicians can be found here usually advertising for their latest scheme. You can usually find someone selling a 'junker' ship for incredibly cheap.

Earth 2 - Earth 2 is the reason why planets go through extensive scanning and research before settling. Humans were so eager to find a new home planet that they quickly settled without any prior research. This carelessness caused them to bring home various alien diseases which quickly evolved from simple colds to deadly diseases in a matter of months. Earth 2 has now been labeled as 'deadly' and quickly quarantined. Humans are now extremely rare to find outside of any colonies due to the quarantine.

Sik'Zhima, or Sik as most people called him sat on a bar stool talking with a few others around him. He towered over a good portion of the bar patrons and it made people afraid to mess with him, most of the time. They shared stories from their jobs, from space travels or past barfights until then someone mentioned the game Kazti Blaster 6000. Most of the patrons turned around to look at the one who mentioned a new highscore and Sik's mind registered it as 'Challenge accepted'. He slammed his drink down on the table and marched over to the arcade machine, one that resembled pre-destruction earth-2. The controller for the arcade game resembled a Kaztech Medium range rifle, which Sik owned two of on the firefly.

He picked up the controller out of the holster, inserted 3 piks and went to town on the game. He nailed every enemy that came onto the screen, the more difficult ones required 3 shots to the 'head', which wasn't a problem given how often Sik played the game. The actual fire rate on the machine was how fast you could pull the trigger, which gave some species an advantage over other species that moved slower. Luckily the Sci-hir had good reflex which helped him immensely on the game. After twenty minutes passed he had passed the 'new' high score, for that particular time anyway, the 'high scores' for the game varied on how long it took you to get the high score and how many points you had, it was some complex algorithm by the developers that Sik did not really care to figure out. As he stepped away from the machine the now defeated high score setter walked up to him very pissed. "Ya wanneh figh ya dirty bug!?" Sik laughed at the Sigha and put his hand on the male's head and pushed him out of the way. "-No.-" Sik said in his native language, which to most sounded like a series of clicks rather than a legitimate language.

Jade hummed softly to herself as she listened to music while repairing an old ship. The thing was ancient but still working which was impressive all on its own. She had been working on the ship for nearly a month but she was being payed well and she was almost done. Music thumped in her loudly in her ear as she fused and welded metal bits together, finishing off the last bit of wiring before tilting back the shield from her face a few grease spots smudged her cheeks. Despite being sweaty and flush her emerald eyes were alight with excitement and joy at a job well done. The mechanic grinned and shut the hatch before gathering up all of her tools. "And with that we are all done!" She announced to no one in particular.

She hopped down the wing of the ship landing with a solid thud that was very unexpected for such a petite girl. Jade pulled her ear buds out of her ears before letting them retracted back into the bracer she was wearing on her right arm. She sighed softly and looked around for the owner spotting the old lavender skinned fellow named Torick. "You should be good to go." She smiled. Torick nodded slightly. "Credits have already been transferred. If I need your assistance again I'll let you know." The older'man' replied. Jade nodded, "Thanks! I got to run though!" She said glancing at her bracer and realizing the time. She waved before running off slinging her pack onto her shoulder. She dug into one of her many pockets pulling out clicker. A bubbly giggle escaped her as she reached her pride and joy, a modified hoverbikeshe had been slowly modifying over a year.

She opened a compartment under the seat and pulled out a black helmet replacing it with her pack before jumping on and turning her bike on. The came to life with a purr which only made the red head grin wider, she loved the sound of her cycle. With a few revs of the engine she took off speeding and weaving through traffic with ease. An HUD appeared on her visor displaying the map to her destination. She had been contacted a while back to be the mechanic for a new crew. While she wasn't a fan of traveling... or flying through large expanses of space but she could cope it if meant steady work. Three years later after her less than smooth transition into space and she was still overcoming some issues. It had become much easier to deal with but she still had issues.

The hovercycle came to a stop outside the bar and she parked it away from the other bikes tucking her helmet back into its place. She smoothed her hair out of her face into a clip and made sure her face was at least clear before heading into the bar. Jade wasn't sure who has contact was but didn't want to look like a complete spaz.

“WHERE IN BLAZES IS THE ELECTRO CAUTERIZER?!” A frustrated Quserkani was rummaging around the room he considered his medical bay, “Where did I put that thing!? How am I supposed to do quick operations if I can’t stem the bleeding almost immediately? He folded all four of his arms. An exahsperated look crossed his face…err…folds on his face. Looking around he finally spotted it. “Ahh there you are! Everything finally is nice and tidy. Now I just need to install the timer…and I’ll be all set!” He walked out of the door, ducking a bit; 6’7 was not a good height for this ship. Also his dense musculature did not help with the 280lb weight. Every step he took let out a slight, *thunk* *thunk* *thunk.*

Connor’s point of destination the docking port. The captain had disembarked to gather more crew members specifically the bar. Finally there would be more people to talk with, search the galaxy for treasures with, and mostly people to patch up! Well…he didn’t want them injured a good doctor wouldn’t want that, and he was a good doctor mostly…He had great bedside manner, he wouldn’t dream of hurting his patients, and was more than ready to welcome the new crew with open arms. Still, something was off about a doctor that would charge of first into battle. Humans had something they called “the Hippocratic oath” Something about “to do no harm,” As he checked his four holstered pistols, he chuckled at the thought. He adjusted his pants and shirt, both ill fitting, and the shirt just looked like a Human double XL Tee shirt with holes ripped in the side. Clearly he was the pinnacle of a professional doctor. He passed through docking port and headed to the bar that his captain was in.

Time? Unknown. Location? Unknown. Destination? ...Here?

Her internal GPS was extremely scattered, sensors and processors sending rapid fire signals throughout her connections. The slightest tang of disorientation ran through her 'brain'. Going through buildings, or its walls, was simply not an option - when was the last time you'd witnessed a robot simply stroll in through one solid barrier and out the next. It wasn't practical, nor did she possess the strength to accomplish such a task. Instead, she found herself manually rerouting her way, turning on random street corners. Internally, she had a stopwatch counting the continually ticking seconds as time passed, unbeknownst to her, as she was incapable of estimating the time at all. It read 1 hour, 32 minutes, 7 seconds... counting...counting... until she believed she had finally found the spot. Accessing a small file in her memory drive, she studied the picture and identified the similarities. Definitely the place, she assured herself, deciding to step inside. She immediately headed towards the back, hovering around and looking for whoever she had to be looking for. She didn't actually have a general description. It would be awkward for her to head up to the bar and take a seat, then not order anything. A place like this was an odd place to find an android, with little emotion towards herself or others. That, and including the fact that she couldn't drink if she actually could want to. Having no stomach had it's benefits as well as its drawbacks. She checked the stopwatch again. Only three minutes had passed. Searching her code for anything that signified the importance of keeping a stopwatch, she came up empty handed. Her best 'guess', if you could state it as that, was it simply kept things running smoother and gave the system at tick-sync. It was best if she had something to keep her rhythm; she made the connection now and jotted it down in coding. It wouldn't really harm anything if she didn't, but if anything could help an android feel better in its own way, it would be keeping the system in a good functioning order.

There were several people in the location that she had failed to take notice of earlier. Several faces with no names she could place, short, tall, humanoid and different. She was incapable of judging, however, because she lacked the ability to do so. There was a figure that stood out among most of the others. Tall, large, and perhaps with a bit of tree. It was a bit hard to tell, as she couldn't quite get a good look. She also noticed a younger, but perhaps a little older, woman who appeared to have artificial limbs. It wasn't too terribly difficult to tell when your whole body was made of the fake body mass. There were also other interesting people, and she carefully went through and studied their traits.

Sik had found a table after the fiasco and been sitting down relaxing in a chair with his drink. His chair was pointed towards the door so he could keep an eye on the entering patrons for any familiar face as the first person who entered the bar, the 'augmented' human who was extremely adept with technology he stood up from his table and waved over to her in an attempt to catch her attention. When the doctor came in he repeated the process, knowing full well he would recognize Sik. What he was looking for were replacements and Sik trusted Connor to help him. Sik began to think of the previous engineer they had who decided to experiment with the engines. The entire ship had smelled like burnt flesh for weeks much to everyone's disgrace.

He finally looked at the android who had already been in the bar as he waved it over. Their ship had not had an android before and they certainly needed one for the various utilities they carried. Oddly enough though most androids were designed with a human-like appearance, because most humanoid species found humans to be the most 'beautiful' species in the galaxy, though Sik believed it had to do with how rare they were. Sik had made sure there was some Aathnaen water around the table. Aathnaen water was rumored to have healing properties and it was the only liquid all species could drink without issue, though it was exceedingly expensive to buy past the single free glass all tables got.

Tree man waved her over, so she stopped observing and slowly walked over to the odd appearing creature. She moved her feet as quietly as she could; being made of purely machine parts didn't make it easy to stay silent when moving, even shifting her fingers occasionally made a small whirring or clicking sound. It irritated some people around her at times to no end, and they often threatened to throw her in a recycling machine. A quick display of the large caliber rifle in her right arm quickly shut them up so she could go on her way in an efficient manner, provided that no policing entities caught sight of her not-so-street-legal weaponry; such a sight to any sort of authority figure would be reason enough to for an arrest and possibly make termination a highly real possibility. Nonetheless, she hadn't been caught yet, always thoroughly examining the area before counter reacting in any sort of fashion. She continued to study the tree man until she finally reached the table. For a moment, her code nearly argued with itself as it decided where to sit. Should she sit next to him? Across? It probably didn't really matter, in all reality, but to her code it was scrambling things about. Perhaps she should just ask, but was that the proper thing to do? For a few moments she wondered if she was going to short circuit or perhaps damage her coding, but then thought of a decent solution that wouldn't break anything. Why not randomly generate things? Imputing the seating options, plus the event that she could simply ask where he'd - or she'd, she couldn't tell - would like her to sit, then sent it on a roll out of 100. The one with the most positive rolls would win favor as the seating option. After about a minute - which was filled with her simply staring at the table - her results came in. Sitting right next to tree-person-man-woman. Not containing an anxiety emotion or regret, she simply sat herself down despite the face that she could just as easily stay there, standing, seeing as she didn't tire like a living being. After seating herself and pulling out her 'hair' from under the chair legs, laying loosely over the back of the furniture piece, she turned to her inviter. "So," she asked, voice slightly curious in tone, as previously coded, eyes trained on the tree-creatures face. "What is your name, species, age, and point of requesting our services?" That might've been too many questions at once, but she simply didn't hold that drive of self control. Nonetheless, she patiently waited for his response.

Jade was looking around the bar tempted to get a drink but before she could a very tall strange bug... thing waved in her directions. She stared a moment wondering if that was supposed to be her contact. She cursed not getting more details about this whole thing. "G'damn it..." She muttered under her breath before going over to the table were the bug alien and a very impressive android sat. the work on the droid was gorgeous to say the least. Any passerby could have mistaken her for something living and breathing but there was a specific shine to her. That an the various faint seems along the skin. Overall she was gorgeous!

The mechanic had to stop her self from staring and took up a random seat that was at the table, it wasn't like there were very many options. Part of her was anxious about this mission because it could result in anything good or bad. She tried to be careful on what jobs she took but there was never 100% guaranteed safety. However she needed the money and a steady job was worth the risk.

Connor came into the bar looking around, he immediately noticed Sik waving him down, “Ahh the captain. Excellent!” He walked over noticing the two others that had sat down at the table. He quickly sat down directly opposite Sik and looked to and from the two others, carefully taking mental notes. First he started with the one on his left, his mind already breaking down what medical information he could gain from a glance.

Long hair past what human physiology would general allow for. Metallic sheen,Cyborg? No. No visible biomechanical components, Definite seams on skin purpose built, not installed afterwards. A completely inorganic being. Shame. Android. Not interesting medically. NEXT!

He turned to the girl on his right. His head motion was quick, almost if he had a spasm, or had just tried to crack his neck. Nevertheless again his medically trained and hyperactive mind was already going through every obvious detail.

Human, Female. Average stature. Jacket limiting view, wait. Arm. Cybernetic. Rats! Wai?. Other arm organic. Yes! Not android! Human! Cybernetically enhanced…but human! I CAN OPERATE ON MORE PHYSIOLGY AGAIN! He quickly snapped his head turning to his captain. “Sik. Med bay prepped everything is prepared for medical procedures! Did you get the timer? No never mind. I don’t need it. Yet. Just later.” His 16 fingers tapped on the table in rapid succession.

Sik looked between all of them Connor clearly having quite the time analyzing his potential candidates for operation. There were a few thing Sik needed to keep an eye on for Connor sometimes and this was one of them. He glared at the doctor with a 'stop-thinking-like-that' look. Finally he decided to get to the android's question. "-My name is Sik'Zhima, species is Sci-Hir, I am 31 standard years old and I am offering you a spot on my crew for treasure hunting. Everyone is cut an equal share of the rewards which I can imagine either of you using. Our former engineer had an accident.-" He said still unable to forget the smell of burnt flesh. "-We also require a navigator as well as a general health aid for Connor here since he can't do everything alone, specially not in the field not to mention the general utility an android like yourself brings.-"

He sat back and waited for their responses, confident that they would say yes. They had not had an android on board before and this was one of the few who had freedom to make their own decisions. Generally androids had 'owners' no matter how independent they had the potential to be. The very few that gained independence gained it because their creators usually went through tons of legal and moral hurdles as well as design them to be independent, so this android was probably going to be the only independent one that fit perfectly with what they needed.

Jade was very happy she had brought along her translator though it was still buggy and cut out every now and then. She listened to the strange alien make his offer. His voice came in with static and had a mix of the native clicks and chirps every once in a while but she managed to understand over all. A treasure hunt didn't seem like something that would bring in a whole lot of credits, if it brought any in at all. She had worked on a number of ships that went around looking for loot to plunder and riches to steal. Not to mention the ships 'doctor' concerned her... but that was another matter entirely. Still she was short on money and she could only keep up the nomadic life for so long. Perhaps being part of a crew would be a good change of pace. "I'll Join."

She noticed another girl staring at her for a slight moment, as well as a four armed organism that seemed disappointed when he studied her. It didn't really matter to her, as he seemed to be slightly mentally unstable and actually didn't peak her attention other than the fact that he possessed four arms. The human - in which she noted that the lady possessed cybernetic limbs - took a seat at the table as well as the odd four armed being. She decided to let out a small wave to the both of them, being as friendly as she could manage as a machine such as herself. She listened to the doctor - seeing as he went on about the medical bay and such - banter on a bit about a timer before her ears caught sound from tree-man. He introduced himself, her translator automatically feeding a male, robotic voice into her ears. She could always have it displayed in front of her on her eye screen, or fed directly into her brain, but she preferred this method over the rest. She noted down what he said into code, making sure to store it in a safety drive. She nodded at Sik'Zhima - she decided it would be best to call him captain - and decided to pipe up a bit more after the human confirmed that her presence would be on the ship. "As you may know, a am a S.E.U, or Sensitive Evacuation Unit. If you do not wish to call me by this, you may call me by my additional tag, Savnel. If you wish to call me by any other tag you must have somebody program it. I mainly specialize in Health Aid and long distance heavy combat, but I am also capable of navigation and other tasks. I accept your proposition." She stuck out her hand stiffly, deciding it was the proper thing to do, seeing as she had studied it among several species before.

Connor noticed Sik’s glare, His rapidly tapping fingers stopped, Oh hell I’m doing it again aren’t I? Yes I was indeed. I need to really stop. Operations, he loved to perform them, medical procedures, any of them, he wouldn’t do them when they weren’t needed. But, the potential of preforming them! Medical knowledge locked up for so long due to tradition and culture! Ready to be unleased! No, no, calm was needed, diplomacy, tact…that’s why Sik was the captain, and he was the doctor.

He folded his hands trying to maintain some semblance of calm, “Yes. After certain incidents concerning an engineer and their attempts at…modifying some major systems, your assistance would be invaluable. Though when the Sik said he needed help on the field some of the calm faded, and his voice began to gather speed again, “Assistance? Field? Help? You think that I nee-” He paused slowing down again. No no, its fine. Its fine. Assisstant yes. Assistant is good. Assistant is another pair of hands. Two more than four. 6 is better than four. Calm, diplomacy, tact. “Pardon that outburst. It would be appreciated to have some help in the medbay.”

Sik looked between the two of them and nodded happily, they both accepted as he reached out to shake his hand with S.E.U. Looking to Connor then back at the human woman he spoke to her. "-You will need a quick checkup to make sure you won't be carrying any deadly diseases. Sorry, just have to be careful.-" Last time they took someone on board they were carrying Yuinemrintikumyngan, also known as the Yuin Virus which got everyone on the ship sick and left Connor to be the only person on board able to help everyone. He looked back to Connor before speaking to him. "-A physical checkup does not include operations, injections, 'tests', bone replacement, augmentation or limb regeneration.-" Sik hated saying it specifically but he had to, Connor was known to be quite irrepressible when it came to check ups sometimes. Turning back to the human he also followed the same idea with the android. "-Last thing we want is an android to explode aboard the ship due to a faulty wire or exposed explosive materials, I trust you can do a scan on the droid to assure that S.E.U. is up to standard as well?-" He paused forgetting he still had no clue what the engineer's name was. "-Excuse me but what might your name be?-" He said before finally reaching out for a handshake with the human.

Jade understood the need for a scan to make sure she didn't have anything considering the station its self was a major traffic hub and anything was possible. Though the fact that the captain had to tell the so called doctor not to do any unnecessary tests or procedures did concern her to no end. She didn't exactly feel safe in the first place with anything none human as a doctor so the warning just added another layer of distrust to the strange four armed Alien. She looked back to Sik as he asked her to check over the Android and she nodded slightly. "Sure I don't mind so long as S.E.U. doesn't mind either." She replied figuring it was best to ask before poking and prodding around a androids innards. She was more than happy to check over the bot and see what kind of tech made it... her run. It was something of a hobby Jade had, she would just have to make sure not to take anything apart. Something that was also a bad habit of hers. "Hm? Oh sorry I'm Jade Rhea." She replied extending her right non robotic hand and shaking the captains. It was very strange considering how the he had an rough exoskeleton but she managed to keep an friendly expression. Last thing she wanted was to offend her new employer.

Connor looked over at the captain his speech again faced paced, "Injections?! Tests?! AUGMENTATION?! After these many years of knowing me do you take me as some sort of quack!? I promised you that it would never happen again. I enjoy preforming these things yes! But not when unnecessary! Though with those limbs...No, wait no terrible Idea.No.She could have had more than enough time to put in a request, unless she never had the chance. Nope. She Seems happy with them. No reason too." He paused taping his top right arms fingers on what went for his chin.

"Sorry, apologies yes? I actually am a good doctor. Too good. Quaserankis are usually less enthusiastic about any field they enter. Caused by a Recessive gene. Section that deals with impulse control, not too good. Sik helps. Kept me...what is the phrase...on the rail? on the line...no on the path? was there a direction involved? AH YES! On the right path! So I won't do anything that is not required. Unless you want it. Or ask. Or consid- No, No, no. Just basic check up, yes. He blinked repeatedly almost seeming lost in thought for a bit. "Actually assistant would be very good. More Focus. More focus is good.

He extended his hand for a handshake, "I'll spare you the long full name, It's Connor, just Connor. Decided after I had human patient. Said it was shorter for one of my names...or one of my names reminded him of a friend...or something...Wait no. Focus on introductions not explanations. I promise on my...skills? Honor? Yes sounds better than skills. I promise as my honor as a doctor I will not do anything other than requested...or necessary, and that is Sik necessary...not mad genius doctor necessary."

The anger coming from the four armed doctor was quite obvious to S.E.U., causing her to react a slight bit and flinch in the tiniest way. Hell if she knew why she was programmed with such a response, but it was there and it functioned just fine. Now that she thought about it, it dawned on her that her emotional coding was very incomplete. Just bits and pieces... it bothered her that there was only some of it there. She realized he had finished with his small outburst and nodded at him, letting out an 'exhale', which was just a little bit of warm air from her systems. After a couple more words were exchanged, Sik mentioned about a checkup for her. At that, she debated on how she should react. Punch him? Accept it? Walk away? This was the major issue with S.E.U., they were extremely slow at making decisions about how to react to stuff, but it seems that she had a bit more problems then most. She linked it to perhaps her lack of emotional coding. Could it be? She would have to ask Jade, as she heard the name, to see if she knew anything about it. Out of all the people on the ship, she would be the most acquainted at it. She realized that she had simply been sitting here, thinking and unmoving, for at least a full minute. It would just be better to go along with it, was the decision, and she nodded to Jade. "That's fine with me, I haven't checked over in a while. Some spots are a bit hard to see by myself." She leaned back slightly, resting against the chair, and started scrolling through some data about how her system was functioning at this current moment.

Shaking hands with a human was a bit disgusting, it was like holding a squishy uncooked cloramian gutsack. They were delicious when cooked, but when they weren't cooked it was just unsettling, though he hid his reaction, which was notoriously easy for his species. Standing up he looked to the group ready to head off to the ship, the bar had been right next to the hangar bay which is why Sik had chosen to meet here. "-Time to see the ship.-" Walking out of the bar and dodging the people of all shapes and sizes, literally, he had finally gotten to the hangar before pointing upwards to a spiderweb of catwalks that enveloped the various starships that were above their heads. Taking a moment to refind the ship he headed towards an elevator that would take them to the catwalks gesturing for them to follow him.

Once at the top he walked towards his ship with an aura of confidence and pride. "-This is the firefly, it has enough on board for up to eight people to live on with 10 sleeping quarters. It is also equipped with engines capable of speeds up to mach 53.142 with an overdrive of 20%. The ship isn't incredibly impressive but it does what it needs to do." Walking up to the ship entry he paused. "Oh yes, it also has some highly illegal weaponry capable of crippling an El'ffaw warship but they have to be managed carefully or the ship will explode, which is where you can find me most of the time."

Finally stepping aboard the ship, it looked dirty, had burn marks and holes in a few of the walls here and there. The ceiling wasn't much better than the walls as it seemed to be Tye-dyed from some unknown substance of various color. The floors were shockingly clean given the rest of the ship and you could actually see yourself in it, the only actual marks on it being blood stains which were easily blamed on Connor. "-Careful on the chairs, a few of them might break when you sit them, our engineer was a-" Sik paused trying to think of an appropriate way to describe him "-heavy fellow.-"

Jade just stared as 'doctor' Connor and nodded worried that arguing with him would lead to waking up with head head on some kind of cyborg. Then again... She hook the thought out of her head and turned to Sik then S.E.U. as she agreed to the check up. She smiled softly and nodded "Alright then. I guess when we get settled." She said before following the Captain to the hanger. She paused by her bike along the way when she saw they were walking and decided it might be best to store it until it was needed next time. She grabbed her helmet and slung her pack over her her shoulder before pressing a code into the panel. A mute glow enveloped the bike before it dissipated into particles which were then absorbed into her bracer. Digital Storage. Or at least that's what she called it. There was fancy hi tech term for it but she couldn't remember it for the life of her. While the concept was fairly complicated it did make moving from station to station a hell of a lot easier since all her possessions were in the her bracer which almost never left her arm.

She followed along with the rest of the small crew curious as to what kind of ship they would be taking. Her eyes wandered around the hanger mind going a million miles and hour assessing the different components and ships that were docked. Some of them looking familiar since she worked for several months already on the station. Once they reached the cat walk which lead to their destination she paused a moment assessing the ship. Over all it was an older model but in good shape, good speed, great overdrive with out being dangerous, Defiantly had some modifications to it. The weaponry was definitely something she was interested in checking out for her self to see what the danger was with them.

While the out side of the ship was fairly nice the inside made her cringe. The rust, burn and holes along the walls were worrying especially in comparison to the oddly clean floors. Her OCD started to throw a fit about the state of the ship overall inside figuring out all of the patch jobs and hard core cleaning that would be needed to make the ship even half way decent to her standards. Still there would be time for that. Her body language over all was fairly tense about the state of the ship but she managed a small smirk. "I see..." she muttered softly eyes still scanning over the different parts of the ship.

Connor blinked a few times at the captain's comment. "Heavy? Understatement. High Blood pressure ,diabetes, colesteral was of the charts. Also terrible snoring. Did not want him to go like he did though. Very messy. Understatement on my part. Very bad memory..."

Then turning to Jade he started, "Medical room is 3 doors down main hall. Come at your leisure. Within the hour. Much work to do. Not surgical before you give me a look. No. Worse. Clerical...Much typing. Much documentation to fill. Do not have complete medical history. Many blanks to fill. Yes many blanks to fill. Simple scan after that and then done." He began to head off to his office before stopping in the middle of the hallway. "Seen looks like that before. Creepy doctor they think... Very sad, very disheartening. Won't take to much time from you then."

Jade sighed softly watching as Connor went down one of the off halls noting not really sure what was more unsettling the state on the inside of the ship or the Doctors by this point. Still she felt kind of bad from his parting words and figured he should give her a shot. Seeing as they were going to be traveling for a while as a crew it best to get to know the quirks of the people around her. It also wasn't very fair to judge based on first impressions, she knew full well what that was like being one of the few humans still left alive. She looked over to S.E.U. "I'll do the check up after I'm done with the doctor." Then she could hopefully check over the rest of the ship before they took off. Though that depended on how quickly the captain wanted to get going.

Pushing the matter a side for the moment Jade made her way down the corridor eyes wandering over the different patches in the ship. More mental notes taken for repairs, she wondered if there would be enough materials to even start working in all honestly. She reached a door which had a faded glyph on the side etched in yellow on the oxidized meshed metal work. It was a strange collections of squiggles and dashes that was an overly complicated 3 in some alien language. She forgot which. While she had a translator to help with communication she would need to program her visor to be able to read half the stuff on the ship it seemed. Another note. She pressed on the glyph causing ti got glow an eerie phosphorus green and the doors slid open with screeching noise. Notes, notes so many to keep track of and she had only been on the ship for five minutes.

She entered the lab area which was surprisingly clean well taken care of in comparison to the rest of the ship. It was as clean as the oddly maintained floor with blood stains to match. Though it shouldn't surprise her as much since it was a clinic; a clean serial environment made for much better healing than one breeding rust and bacteria. She looked over to the doctor and scratched the back of her slightly. "Eh... sorry for the odd looks." she apologized not really wanting things to go on awkwardly "Only been off planet for 3-4 years so I'm still getting used to all this."

She got up as soon as Sik did, fixing her hair slightly upwards so that nobody would step on it. Not that it hurt at all - she didn't have 'nerves' so to speak - but it was rather abrupt when your head is yanked backwards out of the blue. Stepping on the ship, she was rather unpleased with its current condition; extremely unacceptable for a ship. Hell, if she even walked onto it, it might break under her non-organic weight. As she studied the ship, her 'ears' caught the mentioning of 'highly illegal weaponry' and 'explosion', then made a mental note to make sure that it was all secure. You know, just so that shit doesn't explode. "Perhaps we should fix the chairs, then," she stated dryly, shifting her neck to look at the captain. To her, it didn't make sense that the floors were so clean compared to the rest of the ship. It seemed wrong to her, and she felt a twinge of unsettlement and her code trying to run through how to fix everything in a short amount of time. Even if she tried, there was no way that she was anywhere near equipped enough for the sheer amount of tasks that would have to be preformed to fix everything. Nonetheless, she saved it as a back-note so she could bring it up later, systems automatically adding more notes of everything she noticed. Although, I will note to you, being the android she is, she noticed nearly everything; even things that didn't need to be fixed, but could be better in her eyes. She turned to Jade and blinked, noticing her nervousness. She really had no opinion on the doctor himself, but to anybody who might actually be operated on, she could see how it would be unsettle. "I'll do the check up after I'm done with the doctor." She nodded, deciding to follow behind a bit. Might as well explore a bit if she was going to be on here for a while, make a small map so that her system new where to go. A bit like an organic memory, repeated processing of information lead to memorization. However, in her case, it would only take one trip.

As Jade came in Connor was already at a station with a computer, he was furiously typing with one pair of arms, and scrawling notes on a clip board with the other. “Odd looks? It’s alright. Don’t Worry. Used to it. Crazy doctor. Talks fast. Would send you to psych evaluation if did not concern you. I must Sik hired me because desperate.” He paused again, “Because HE was desperate. Pronouns, still dealing with pronouns. I like them. Much better than home. Don’t like home. No pronouns at home. Only long names. Very long.” Pausing again he sighed. “Did it again. Lost in thought. tangent, not good. Like I said. Recessive gene. At any rate we are not here for me. We are here for you.”

He stood up grabbing a small device that fit in the palm of one of his larger hands, though he was rapidly adjusting settings and pressing buttons. “Tech is sub-par. Annoying. Not able to do optimum scans. Very annoying. Still does trick.” He held out the scanner in front of her, “Blood pressure normal. Temperature normal. Nothing contagious for sure, Viral scans are clear. Hmm? What is this? He paused and tapped the screen, “Multiple prosthetics? Hmm. Interesting. Very interesting. Many questions. Scans complete. Now on to questions and clerical work.”

He walked back to his computer. “Medical history now. Need much data. Cannot import from anywhere. Only import from you.” he began to type and scrawl notes much like before. “First. Prosthetics when where and why? Related to something? Trauma? Flesh eating disease? Montobian-yillin Tube worms?”

Jade listened to Connor ramble not really sure what to make of him at this point other than he had some issues with english and a short attention span. Still he didn't look particularly dangerous at least. She stood still as he scanned her over happy to at least hear that she wasn't carrying anything and everything else was normal. She wasn't really surprised when he brought up her prosthetic, it wasn't something that was expected normally. Clothing hid them most times, she wore gloves often when working so many didn't even know she had them. It wasn't like she was ashamed of them, but running around naked didn't exactly seem like a good idea either. She shook off the thought as he started asking about her history and sighed heavily it wasn't exactly something she liked talking about.

"Eh I've had them since I left earth. Escape from Aladar didn't go as planed and I ended up in an explosion. Woke up in space pretty much only my right arm." She shrugged slightly "Took a while to get them actually fitted right cause of the damage from the explosions but they work great now."

Sik looked around the ship happy with how it looked, all he really cared about was clean floors but clearly both Jade and S.E.U. were disturbed by the walls and ceiling. Noticing Jade went out for her checkup he turned to S.E.U. and decided to ask her what she thought of the ship. "-Jade looked slightly disturbed by the condition of the ship, what do you say about it?" Sik looked to S.E.U. wonder how a walking computer would respond, he would never tell S.E.U. that to her face but that was really what she was a computer with arms and legs, it didn't make her exist any less and it didn't make her exist any less or any less of a being though. One of the problems with android capable of independence was that they usually went missing and it wasn't hard, they were hit with EMPs, reprogrammed and had the unique ID's wiped. A unique ID was something that all independent androids received, it made them traceable by their creators so they could be updated, repaired or even recovered if things went wrong. The unique ID system had recently undergone and overhaul so it wasn't easily removed or modified without the entire droid shutting down and placed into a stasis mode which prevented it from being reactivated by anyone aside from those with the rewrite code. After that the rate of independent android disappearances had decreased dramatically. The disappearances were a big deal a while back and there was a huge amount of crossnet coverage about it.
