Alice huffed, walking back towards the huge building still visible in the distance; murmuring something under her breath about drama queens. She chuckled to herself, thinking of going into the house soaking wet with Lacey in tow. They'd get some weird looks for sure.

He walks at her side humming to himself and paying no attention to his surroundings, his mind off in a million directions as usual, though he is smiling, and he thinks maybe talking to cloud watching girls isn't so bad, at least not this time.

They eventually made it to the house, walking inside. Now that they were inside in the cool AC rather than outside, Alice realized how freezing she was. She shivered and pouted at Lacey, a puddle forming on the floor as she walked to the stairway. "My room's three floors up," she whined, smiling slightly to show she wasn't being serious. She hated whining in seriousness.

He nods and looks up the stairs, "Better get walking then." he laughs and begins going up, smiling back at her, "I would offer my jacket but it wouldn't do much good. I'll walk you to your room, though. My room is on the way."

"What a gentleman," she said, fanning herself as if she were going to swoon. They walked up the stairs in companionable silence. She paused outside her room, her hand on the doorknob. "Now you know where I live," she said in a frightened voice, poking him lightly in the stomach.

He grunts and stumbles back gripping his stomach, "You wound me, horrible woman. " He walks backward wagging his finger at her, "Always remeber I will have my revenge!" He vows before slipping down the stair railing intent on changing his own cold clothes.

Alice slid into her room and exchanged her wet clothes for dry ones, pulling her hair back to deal with later. She flopped down on her neatly made bed and idly wondered how long she'd spent out in the outside- only a few hours, probably.

After changing Lacey heads to the kitchen, hungry since he skipped breakfast. He ignores most other people he sees and spends his snack time chatting shyly with a kindly nurse like woman who asks him questions about his day.

When it's over he settles in downstairs in a chair in a corner, bored and pondering when it will rain again.

Alexandra nodded her head and went inside waiting for Ramirez to follow. "I'm gonna go get my brother" she said softly looking down and traveled upstairs to where her brother Brayden was laying on the floor with bottles of whiskey everywhere. She sighed and lifted him up "Brayden? Wake up!" she exclaimed shaking his shoulders.

Brayden's eyes shot open then glances around the room with blurry vision and a massive headache he was having a hangover. "what?!" he yelled noticing Alexandra had woken him from his sleep. "what the fuck?! Do you remember not to wake me from my damn sleep!" he adds in a low angry tone clutching his fists tightly "get out of her before i kick you ass!" he said pointing to the door.

Alexandra nods and leaves folding her arms across her chest sadly then plops down on the staircase staring at the wall taking a deep breath.

Ramirez saw her and noticed that was sad. So he sat down next to her. "You alright?" He had a idea that it involved Brayden.

Alexandra shrugged and looked over at Ramirez "It's fine, he's having a hangover" she sputters leaning up the railing taking a deep breath.

Alexandra nodded. "Yep, he is...he has been for several years now" she said dazing over at him and shrugged "It's fine, it's not a big deal" she sputtered shortly.

Ramirez nodded. "Welcome to the club. Called living with drunks." He sighed. "My father was. My mother used to be. It's a shame."

Alexandra looks over at him and nods "yeah...im sorry about that" she mutters fixing her hair.

Alexandra nodded and smiled at him "okay i wont" she said nodding her head "so where is your girlfriend anyways?" she adds looking over at him.

Alice yawned and got out of her bed, groggily pulling on a sweatshirt and walking out of her room. She probably had a counseling thing or something to do around now. She'd find out eventually.

Ramirez looked around. "I bet my money that she's in my room." He stood up and held out his hand. "One way to find out."

Alexandra nodded her head and grabbed his hand and stood up "when did you first start liking her, anyways?" she asks looking up at him smiling.

Ramirez smiled softly back and rubbed his head sheepishly. "I've liked her since third grade. But we known each since we were in diapers."

Lacey moves about the building, gather info on the adults that will be 'making them better people'. From what he sees they can't really help much, at least not the way they wish to. Finishing his conclusion he retreats back to the kitchen, and then outside.

Alice caught sight of him outside and snuck out after him, poking him in the side and smirking. "And so the spy becomes the spied-on," she said, frowning slightly. "The spier becomes the spied? Whatever. Point is, I'm super sneaky."

He looks at her, and hums. "I see, yes you are super sneaky. In my defense I was deep in thought." Lacey pokes her back, "So, totally doesn't count. I am still the master spy."

She shakes her head stubbornly. "Master spies wouldn't get snuck up on," she said smugly. "I have exceeded your skill, but if you're lucky I might teach you some stuff."
