Fantasy Insanity (PLEASE JOIN)

She meets his gaze and smiles mysteriously, raising an eyebrow at him. "I guess he didn't do too well, you don't seem to be missing any teeth. And he's an asshole, you were only helping him out." She pushed her hair impatiently out of her eyes, digging her fingers into the grass lightly.

"He did knock out one, way in the back. Not much of a loss though. He lost more." He nibbles at his bottom lip, "They say I have anger issues, but since i don't really remember it I say I'm a peace loving individual." he nods to himself before looking back at her "I'll leave whenever you want."

"I can understand anger issues," she mutters under her breath. "And what're you talking 'bout? I don't want you to leave." She pauses, suddenly turning a little red. "I mean, you can if you want."

Lacey laughs, and nods, "I get it. It's nice to talk to interesting people." He lays back proping his head on his arm. "I think I just have idiot issues. I really don't like active violence...unless it's to test something. " He pauses watching a cloud swirl, "And don't worry, if I didn't want to talk to you I wouldn't have. "

Alice shrugs, playing with a strand of her hair. "They're not idiot issues, really. I get being so mad that you just have to do something about it. And being curious isn't bad," she adds darkly, following his gaze to the cloud. "Maybe it'll rain and the sky can be pretty," she adds hopefully.

"It would be nice, the best thing ever is dancing in the rain." He smiles in a dreamy way, "My mother taught me that." He watches the sky, aware that he enjoys talking to someone who is not related to him, it surprises him but it's not unwelcome. "I like water more than fire."

"It sounds nice, but I can't dance," she admits sheepishly, hugging her knees to her chest. "I'd be better off watching you." The sky is turning a pale grey color, they might actually get some rain if they were really lucky. She taps her fingers against her knees restlessly, mimicking songs she knows on piano.

He listens to her silently, following the tapping in his head. It's a nice tune. "You don't have to know how to dance, just stand." he looks at the trees and wonders how old they are, his mind jumping everywhere, "Why don't you talk to people?"

"Because they don't talk to me first," she says simply. "Not many people look back," she mimics in a poor imitation of his deeper voice. "Why don't you talk to people?" She asks playfully, poking him in the rib.

He wrinkles his nose at her and sticks his tongue out, "This is the first time I've left my home town, every person there tries to avoid contact. My mom wasn't exactly a proper lady from what my aunt says. Small town, loose woman, unnamed father. I'm like a leper." he shrugs, "I don't like them either though."

Alice frowns and presses her face into her knee, her hair hiding her expression. That was actually really sad, but he didn't need her pity. "You don't look like a leper to me," she said. "My mom wasn't a, uh, proper lady, either."

"I don't like proper ladies. They are so boring, all nice and never daring." he chuckles and pokes her side gently, "Ladies who light things on fire are much more interesting."

She sighed in fake sadness, shaking her head. "Too bad we don't know any ladies like that, right? Everyone here is just too nice and un-daring." She was struggling to keep the sad expression on but failed miserably, a devilish grin breaking through her act. She wasn't too good of an actress, it seemed.

He grins back, delighted at finding someone who shares his sense of humor, "Of course not, fire starting ladies are so hard to find. I wish you could just go for a walk and find one watching clouds. It would be so much easier." he shrugs and nudges her ,"Oh well. So much for dream girls."

"Damn," she sighed. "I'm sure one day that'll happen for ya, though. I personally can't wait until I see a dude with his arms full of really random stuff who starts conversations with cloud-watching people," she said in mock eagerness, looking at him innocently. "Like, how cool would that be?"

He observes her for a moment, like he is in deep thought before he nods, "I know a guy." he says seriously, "He walks around doing wierd crap, and spying on people for fun, has a knack for finding lighters. Sounds like your kinda guy."

Alice's eyebrows rose. "Really? You have to introduce me. It's absolutely necessary," she said with equal seriousness, leaning toward him and nudging his side with her elbow. "And then he and I can figure out how fast wax melts and other weird stuff," she said dreamily.

He smiles and nods looking grave, "Indeed, it would be a wonderous adventure. Melting wax, and fire. Gah, such a great time." He wiggles his hands and acts excited, "Oh gosh you could even stare at clouds!"

She bite her lower lip harshly, nodding her head. "Just lemme know when he's around," she insisted, looking up at the sky as he mentioned clouds. The wind was picking up a bit now and she shivered, flicking the lighter and looking at the flame, pouting slightly. "I cannot wait for those adventures."

He sits up and watches the sky grey, for a poetic moment he deems it the same color of his eyes before looking at her, "Adventures start in the simplest of places. You don't even have to look for them."

Alice was silent for a long moment, considering that. "Yeah, you're definitely the more interesting one here," she finally concluded, meet his grey eyes with her blues ones. "You've got that whole deep, mystery thing going for you," she informed him matter-of-factly.

He stares at her for a moment before laughing louding and happily. falling on his back. he laughs until he can't and looks at her, "The deep, mysterious thing? You make me sound like a hero from a cheesy teen novel."

Alice clasped her hands together dramatically, batting her eyelashes at him. "That was the point," she said enthusiastically, emphasizing each word. "You only need some damsel in distress and you're set!" She turned her face from him, avoiding his eyes. She was trying to keep from laughing herself.

He leans close to her raising his eyebrowns in a suggestive manner, "Wanna be my damsel? I'll let you burn things, spend my money and pine for me when I don't answer your calls. Hell, I'll even let you get in trouble then swoop in at the last moment and save you."

She tapped her lip thoughtfully, eyes wide. "Sounds good..." she said cautiously, twirling her long hair around her finger. "But there's gotta be a catch, right?"
