"I wasn't precisely aware," she says in a softer tone, blue eyes wide. Alice cracks her knuckles, looking up toward the ceiling as if for guidance. "Well, now that I have you under my thumb I'll have to use that to my advantage. We vixens are not to be trusted, ya know," she adds seriously, "But it's probably too late for you."

"Ah, I see. I fully understand." he sighs and pokes her side, "Just be gentle, I'm not that strong I'm afraid." He looks regretful and accepting, "I can't believe I was taken in so easily." he hums again, the same tune he always does, "Such a shame."

She laughs, throwing her head back before turning her attention to him again. "It's to be expected, but no worries. I'll take excellent care of you," she says cheerfully. "You'll forget about that fire-starting girl in no time."

He stares at her for a minute and shakes his head, his face very serious, "I don't think i'll ever forget the fire-starting girl." he smiles, "I'm an elephant like that. I never forget." he jokes to take away from his serious moment.

"Hmm," she hums, leaning forward on her knees slightly. "That will probably be an issue. Can't have you pining over her," she mutters, almost to herself. She looks at him in deep thought, a smile cracking through her act. "I actually have a horrible memory," she admits randomly, playing with a strand of her hair.

He tilts his head and leans closer, " I better make sure you remember me huh?" Lacey can feel his head stop, every thought freezing as he moves on an instinct he didn't know he had, though he distantly assumes it makes sense as he is human. His hand pulls her the last few inches and he kisses her, nothing dramatic or really special, just his closed mouth on hers, the first time he's ever had this sort of contact.

Lacey pulls away after a moment and wonders if what he had just done would get him beaten up.

Alice stared down for a long moment before leaning forward and kissing him again lightly for a fraction of a second, her face flushed when she scooted back. "I won't forget you," she assures him breathlessly.

Laacey rocks back and forth for a moment, smiling wildly. he is happy, it is very unlike him and he feels more off balance than he did when he first made conversation with her. So he opts to stay quite, should he say something very, very stupid.

She laughs faintly and shakes her head, glancing up at the TV screen that is faintly lighting the dark room. "I think the movie's over," she mutters, poking him in the leg like normal. "I think it's my new favorite," she adds dryly, sarcasm thick in her tone.

"Mine too." he nods and slides off the couch, carefully moving the disc back to its case, "You didn't miss anything, turns out the boyfriend was the psycho and he kills everyone in the end. Kinda borning but very bloody." Lacey kneels down and slides the movie back into place, "With any luck they will never know I snuck a very gory movie into a center for troubled kids. " he is only half joking, as he did sneak this movie along with several others in so he could feed his gore addiction.

She smirks, shaking her head in mock disappointment. "I'm not supposed to see anything flame related," she said bluntly in distaste. "It'll apparently trigger me and I'll set fire to everything." A devious grin spread across her face slowly, but she caught herself and managed to switch to an angelic smile. "I'm sure they won't find out about your movies... just like they won't find out about my matches and lighters."

"Why of course not, now lets just hope watching them doesn't trigger my inner psycho." he moves back to her and perches on the edge of the couch, his legs moving up and down with energy, "I wish I had my cello." he tells her absently, wanting to do something with his hands. "What do you like to do for fun, besides, light fires, suduce poor men, and swim at night?"

"I draw," she says, pressing her palms down against his legs. Her efforts made no difference; they still moved restlessly. She tilted her head, intrigued by his sudden burst of energy. "What do you do when you're not experimenting with fire or escorting vixens to pools in the pitch dark?"

"That's it? You are the most boring non-borin person ever," he smiles sweetly, "I sing, play the cello, stain glass, wood carve, make candles, give cats baths, and make teas." he realizes that his hobby list is odd but he shrugs it off, if anything was going to send her running it will not be that he sings in the shower or makes teas.

"I am pretty boring," she admitted, shrugging. She nods at each thing he lists, not seeming bothered by any one in particular. "I can make tea, too," she said enthusiastically. "Chamomile, Pennyroyal, and Mint are my specialties. I'm actually a pretty good cook when I'm not accidentally slicing myself."

"My grandmother taught me to make teas for her pains, one for a fever, and several others. She was...different in her faith." Lacey nudges her and stands, "Prove you're a good cook, I'm hungry." he mock pouts, "Feed me."

She smirked and pulled him by the hand into the kitchen, pushing him lightly into a chair and propping herself up on the counter. "All right... do you like spicy foods?" she asked after a moment of thought, hopping down and beginning to gather ingredients from the shelves and refrigerator.

He looks at her, "As horribly normal as it is, I am a 17 year old guy. I will eat pretty much anything set in front of me. " he looks down and sighs , "I am so ashmed by my normalness. Don't judge."

A tiny smile was on her face as she worked, pulling her hair back into a ponytail to keep it out of her eyes. "I don't think I'm a seventeen year old guy, but I'm the same way," she said, her eyebrows furrowing together as she diced some vegetables. "I wouldn't dare judge you."

He watches her, silently praying to whatever will listen that she won't slice herself again. "Fantastic, somehow I knew you wouldn't." Looking around he wonders where everyone else is , "It seems like almost no one gets out of their rooms around here. "

She continued her work, thankfully setting the knife aside. "Maybe they're in their rooms together?" She suggested, shrugging. "It seems like everyone has their friends." Putting a large saucepan on the stove top, she sat across the table from him and bounced eagerly in place. "Only minutes 'til you taste my world famous chili."

"Sounds mind-blowing." he means it, smiling at the apparent joy she finds in cooking, "Why are we never in one of our rooms together?" Its a simple question, one that her comment made pop into his head, were they really the only people who didn't spend all together in their rooms. It was an odd notion, didn't they know what wonders the woods outside held?

She blinks, frowning as she contemplated that. "I dunno," she finally said, shrugging. "We both like the outdoors too much to be inside for long," she pointed out. "But I guess we could go to one of our rooms together. All I do in mine is sleep and draw," she said, nudging him with her foot under the table. "Pretty boring."

"At least you sleep." he offers positivly, capturing her foot with his, "It smells good, by the way." he smiles and plays with a butterknife that was laying on the table. "I have to make a phone call soon."

She snapped her fingers, smiling broadly. "That's what we can do in one of our rooms. I can put you to sleep," she said with a laugh. She tilted her head, wiggling her foot away from his and returning to the stove. "You can go make that call now, if you want. This is pretty hot. Wouldn't want you to burn yourself," she smirked, turning to him with a huge spoon in her hand. "I don't mind waiting."
