Fantasy Insanity (PLEASE JOIN)

An hour passes, and the moon rises slowly, hanging over the building like a large eye watching all who sleep or wonder inside. The forest comes to life, yet Lacey still doesn't appear.

Alice was slightly pissed, but more so hurt. He had promised to be there, was he going to ditch her? She was mentally cursing herself for not agreeing on a time with him. Standing up from her spot on the ground, she looked towards the woods and decided to walk along it's edge just for something to do. If he wasn't there in another half-hour, she'd go find the pool herself.

The minutes trickle by slowly before, finally, his voice calls for her from not far away. Coming through the trees lightly so he wakes no one who sleeps not far away in the house.

Alice squealed, jumping in fright as he broke the silence and looking for him in the dim light. She spotted him and walked up to him quickly, throwing an uneasy glance over her shoulder. "You scared the hell outta me," she whispered, pressing a shaking hand over her frantically pounding heart.

He looks slightly guilty and frowns, "Sorry Alice. I...had something happen today. I needed time to myself." he explains lightly, the darkness hiding the haunted look in his eyes.

"What happened?" She asked, immediately picking up on his mood. She reached a hand out to touch his arm but withdrew it quickly, hearing that he needed time. "S-sorry, don't answer that. I'll leave now," she said in a rush, backing away from him. "Take all the time you need."

He laughs softly and catches her hand, tugging her back, "Spending time with you will help. " he tugs along slowly, back to the house, "I got a phone call today. " he tells her, not sure why he is sharing, but feeling the need to as he searches for the thin door leading to the basement, the door covered by climbing ivy.

Alice winced at that. Before she'd left for the house, her dad had promised to call her every day. It'd been weeks now and she'd yet to get a single call. "Who from?" She asked, squeezing his hand lightly as he searched for the door. Whoever that called had been from, whatever they'd had to say had not made him happy.

He stays quiet, finding the door and pushing it open, a soft squeaking filling the air. He moves inside carefully, "My mother." he moves down a few steps and when she is inside he shuts the door encasing them in darkness.

She caught her breath, finally understanding his mood. Her eyes struggled to adjust to the pitch darkness and she leaned against him slightly, to comfort him and partially so she wouldn't fall down the flight of stairs. "Oh, Lace," she sighed in the dead quiet. "Are you okay?"

At this point in time Ramirez was walking around while everyone slept. He had insomnia. So that leads him to walking around. He heard talking and quickly looked.down from a window. He saw two people down by a old door and.they walked in. "That looks interesting." He said to himself. He slowly walked down outside to the door. He put his ear to it, to see if he can hear them talk more.

"I'll be fine. It was just....a shock." he reaches into his jacket and fumbles around a bit before striking a match and lighting the candle he brought, flashlights seem to be no where in this place lately, "I haven't heard her voice in seven years, yet I knew exactly who it was as soon as she said my name." he moves easily down the sfew stairs and leads the way through a narrow hall lined with doors.

She smiled dreamily at the flame, watching it flicker in the darkness as he led the way down the hall. "I'm sure it was," Alice sympathized, her voice strained. Her own mother had been dead for a long time, but she was sure she would recognize her voice instantly if she heard it. "Are you glad you to talked to her?" She asked carefully, turning her blue eyes to him. This was a fragile topic, she didn't want to upset him.

"I wish with every fiber of my being that she had stayed lost." he says it with nothing but pure sadness as he goes through another door, his steps clear in the dark. "Before I never had to worry about what I would ask her...now I can't stop thinking of questions."

Ramirez waited until the voices were hard to hear. He slowly opened the door and walked downstairs and slowly shutting the door close. He slowly followed. The candle light. He was ten feet away from these un-met strangers.

Alice opened her mouth to reply when suddenly she heard a noise behind her. Gripping Lacey's arm, she pulled him around to face the person down the hall. It was too dark to make out who it was, but the person was pretty tall so it was likely a dude. She stepped behind Lacey instinctively, chirping out a frightened, "Hell...o?" into the darkness.

Lacey holds up the candle, ignoring the wax dripping down his hand, "Yo. You could have asked to come, no need to follow so far behind." his voice is as friendly as he can make it as he smiles.

Alice wasn't really a naturally suspicious person or anything; in fact she was pretty friendly. But having someone silently following them in a pitch-black hallway with nothing but a candle for light was kinda creepy, in her opinion. She squinted down the hall at the person, trying to recognize them. A shiver went up her spine as she wondered how long they'd been following before she'd heard them.

"Calm down, its that big guy Ramirez, he's dating that girl Aly, or at least they were making-out like thier lives depended on it not long ago. " Lacey shrugs and turns continuing with his path," he hangs out with Brayden and Alex, brother and sister." he opens another door and heads through, "Seems nice enough from what I've learned observing him. " He has no problem letting others know he watches them, sometimes the reactions even amuse him. Though he doubts anything could really amuse right now."

"Did you observe everyone in the house?" She asked curiously, following after him closely. If he'd watched her, she'd never noticed him doing it. "And how do you see in the dark like that?!" She demanded, waving her hand in front of his grey eyes. "Do you use echolocation or something?"

He blinks and stops walking as her hand flashes before his face, "Anyone i thought may be interesting. I became your friend before I ever observed you, but you were on the list." he pushes her hand back down, "I have good eyes, plus I've been down here a lot. It's a good place to think when I can't sleep."

"On the list," she muttered under her breath, deciding to let it go. She frowned as he talked about not being able to sleep. "Night terrors, right?" She recalled suddenly. "I had those. I'm... I'm sorry." She cleared her throat awkwardly, changing the subject. "How far away is this place?"

"You can talk about night terrors, I don't mind. I've had them since I was 4." Lacey shrugs, "Just a bit more, and you were last because I like saving the best for then." he pokes her and slides through another door and down a few steps. He pushes a set of thick heavy doors open and the smell of chlorine hits them hard, along with the sound of lapping water.

The pool is large, and circular shaped. The water the only lit thing in the room, casting a blue glow along the walls and ground. Dispite the old and rusting surroundings the pool is clear and well kept.

"I had them for a short while," she said with a frown. "I wouldn't wish them on anyone." Sitting on the concrete floor, she began tugging off her shoes. She pulled her hair down, looking up at him and grinning widely. "Ready to swim?"

"I usually don't." he smiles and sits on the edge, tugging his boots off, "I'll just put my feet in like usualy." he sits and the water ripples as his lets his feet go under, "Enjoy. I'm not sure who even uses it, but someone must since it's so clean."
