Fantasy Insanity (PLEASE JOIN)

Her jaw dropped down and she quickly shut it, wondering if he somehow had heard her thoughts. That could be potentially embarrassing. She matched his slower walk, kicking a pine cone in front of her. "I like it better out here than in there, though the movie room is pretty cool."

"I haven't been inside, it does look nice though. I prefer the pool or the greenhouse." Lacey informs her wondering if it's time for lunch yet, or if he should try finding out another fact.

She stopped mid-step, practically falling over. "There's a pool?" She demanded. "Where is it?" They were still in the forest, but she began looking around as if the pool would just be dug into the dirt somewhere beneath the trees.

He watches her, chuckling softly before pointing at the building, "Basement. Through four doors, one door to the left, down the stairs, and bam, there you go. Pool. Kinda creepy but great to go to at night."

"Four doors, one left, down the stairs," she repeated intensely, gripping his arm. She battled her black eyelashes up at him charmingly, standing on her tip-toes so their faces were almost on level. "Could you take me there? Pleaaaaaaaase?" She begged shamelessly. She would go alone, if he refused, but knowing her luck she'd get lost or something equally stupid.

He stares down at her unimpressed, "You could get hurt, it's pretty deep and dark down there." he looks away, "Hmmm maybe I will. I'll see what I'm doing later. I do have a busy schedual."

Alice nodded and started walking again, not even minding his warning about getting hurt. She wasn't particularly afraid of the dark or anything, so if he ended up not going she'd manage just fine with a lighter.

"You can't find your way alone by the way, so get any ideas " he looks at her over his shoulder, a knowing look in his eyes, "I'll take you, just be patient."

"No ideas here," she said sweetly. Were her thoughts really that apparent on her face, or was he just incredibly good at reading them? Alice jogged forward for a moment so she was walking beside him, keeping her eyes fixed on the path ahead. "I'll owe you one, by the way," she thanked him.

"I am really good at reading people," he asnwers the unspoken quiestion he knows runs through her mind, "And why do you owe me? Don't friendly people do things for other friendly people."

This whole mind reading thing was getting uncanny. She shoved her hands into her pockets, a nervous habit of hers. "People just usually expect something in return, even if they are friends," she said honestly.

He frowns, "That doesn't really sound friendshipy, now does it?" he looks at her once more dodging a rock jutting from the ground. "I don't want anything in return, I only do things if I want to."

She smiles fondly at him, shrugging. "Thats not normally how people are," she informed him.

His frown stays in place for the rest of the way to the building, "It's not how I am, maybe I'm more different than I thought"

He nods slowly, "It does. Interesting since usually it wouldn't." he muses looking at her, "It would seem I really do like having a friend."

She pulled on his hand, getting him walking toward the house again. "I know I'm supposed to be patient," she said, "But impatience is just one of my many flaws. And you said you liked those best."

He loos down at her and nods slowly, "That I did. I will show you, just wait for me by the back entrance of the house later. Don't go by yourself, I promise I'll be there." he assures her, intent on keeping that promise.

She looked back at him, her excitement making her look like a little kid who'd just been told they were going to Disney World. "Sweet. You're the best, Lacey. Like seriously," she said sincerely, her smile making a dimple appear in her left cheek.

He rolls his eyes and snorts softly in mild amusment, "Not really, just adventerous and amazing." he shrugs and when they reach the door he opens it for her letting her go first.

Alice walked through the broad doorway backwards so she was still facing him. "No-pe." She drew out the word, making it two syllables. "You're the best, and you just have to deal with it 'kay?" Pulling up her jacket's hood, she tucked her long black hair behind her back. "See you later," she said, turning on her heel before he had a chance to respond and heading toward her room.

He stares after her before chuckling and walking away, heading up the opposite stairs. Only a few steps from his room he is stopped by the kindly woman he once spoke to and taken back downstairs for an urgent phone call.

After the call he leaves the room looking grim before simply disappearing from view down a darkened hallway. He stays unseen as night falls.

She went into her bedroom and read a book to pass the time, waiting until it was dark outside to put on her swimsuit and cover-up on. Pulling up her hair into a messy ponytail, she took the stairs two at the time. He hadn't mentioned a specific time or place other than "outside," so she sat on the grass outside where'd she been when they'd first talked. The stars were dim tonight, not providing much light.
