Quick question, is it possible to make a link that connects to another part of the post?

I don't think so. The link is organized up by the thread and post so it would just be directing the reader to the same post each time.

Pai is correct. There is no BB Code for the equivalent of an HTML "name" link.
I don't know exactly why you're requesting this, but since you're asking about linking to a spot in the same post, I assume you're organizing large amounts of text in one post. One solution may be to use spoilers to organize the content into expandable sections. This can make it easier for the reader to "jump" to one section, but it has it's drawbacks.
Example - if you're doing a world history:
Let me tell you about my world...
I don't know exactly why you're requesting this, but since you're asking about linking to a spot in the same post, I assume you're organizing large amounts of text in one post. One solution may be to use spoilers to organize the content into expandable sections. This can make it easier for the reader to "jump" to one section, but it has it's drawbacks.
Example - if you're doing a world history:

People can easily jump to the content they care about, and the post is very "clean" with minimal text upon first viewing.
Also, spoilers stand out because of the button, so you might want to use it ONLY for information you want to call out.
The downsides?
People have to click the spoiler to see the content, so they may will likely miss content unless you tell them explicitly to read it.
Also, as far as I know, spoiler content does not get sent via email alerts. (So if someone received an email with this post, they would only see the spoiler titles, not the content within the spoilers.)
