A succesful failure

- — in a heart beat
Me and my co gm purplecowdutch are large consumers of different hospital themed series from Scrubs to Grey’s anatomy. We’ve never seen a hospital themed rp, however, so we decided to make our own. The idea is to rp as staff of this small hospital called Primrose hospital.
We are seeking for active, advanced level roleplayers who love in character drama. We seek for roleplayers with new ideas and will to make this the best possible roleplay experience.
We encourage people to plot with each other and create drama between the characters. We have some suggestions for possible playable characters, but we don’t have any strict pre-written roles.
We may focus a bit on the free time of the staff, I find it interesting to see how the characters act outside work. In workplace they might need to follow and appreciate the older and more experienced staff members. But what happens when there's no need for that? The main focus, however, is on the hospital.
coded by natasha.aboutlorespotsrules - a bit more in depth
Primrose Hospital. Small but efficient hospital with skilled professionals. Primrose hospital is known for its medical achievements. Located in Primrose, Australia. The hospital is the heart of the small town. Able to help out people in their need from small accidents to more grand operations.
With every passing year, however, the reputation of Primrose Hospital has worsened. Lots of the capable staff moved to the bigger hospital in the city close to Primrose, leaving the bad apples in Primrose Hospital. Drug stealing nurses, unnecessary drama between staff members, just barely graduated medical professionals and butchered operations.
Primrose hospital is not in it’s old glory. However the new owner of the hospital is determined to put the place back to its old glory and make Primrose Hospital the best hospital in the area. With a new set of rules and new standards, will the hospital be able to get it’s glory back? Will the staff work together with their new boss?
Whatever happens, lots of drama is inevitable.
coded by natasha.aboutlorespotsrules - the star cast2 INTERNS:
Here to make the Primrose Hospital a better place, or to get that college degree where your parents had been nagging for the last few years. No matter what they're here for, they do their job and move forward in the small hospital, who knows where they'll be in a few more years?
1 RESIDENT:
As a resident they're pretty used to the ways of this intruiging hospital, still under the supervision of a senior they're still motivated, well, most of them in finding their own ways. They've seen the on-call room in many different ways and some have gotten more than just sleep in there, who knows what they'll see next?
1 SURGEON:
I hope you have a steady hand because this job is not just for anyone, the surgeon needs to deal with the faith of lives everyday and it's up to you wether they're used to it by now or just getting by. Will they be able to seperate work from their daily lives and if so, how?
1 RECEPTIONIST:
A friendly face is more than necessary in a place like this, though not everyone is as friendly as you might think. After working in the Primrose Hospital there have been many faces and how they deal with the patients always differs. What change will they be able to bring?
1 MANAGER/HEAD NURSE OR SURGEON:
They have a stressful job and that is to keep an eye on everything that's happening inside these four walls, insurances and noisy patients are nothing new to them. They worked their way to the top but at what cost? And will they be able to be flexible and bring new life to the old hospital?
coded by natasha.aboutlorespotsrules - the rules
rule one.
I want everyone to remember basic rules of roleplaying and rpn. No munching, autohit or mary sues. I want unique real life like characters with their vices and virtues. Etc. You can do this.
rule two.
Absolutely no drama in the ooc. This rp is supposed to be fun for everyone so I will politely ask everyone to not start drama in ooc, drama in the ic however is encouraged.
rule three.
Absolutely no one liners. You should be able to write at least three paragraphs every time, in correct grammar. Everyone should write in third person, past preesens.
rule four.
DIscord is mandatory. All ooc happens in discord. We will be also using tupper bott to enable our characters interacting with each other outside the roleplay.
