So I know there are tutorials and resources for how to roleplay and all that wonderfully helpful stuff (really I thank you all who took their time to make those threads), but I want to take that a step further and actually interact with those who are seeking help. This can help to gain more recruits onto different threads and other stories. I find that some users don't join a thread because they are intimidated by the requirements some people expect. I understand their pain since I have been in their position before. And I know that those users who require some specific amount of writing are not doing it to be cruel or godly but that they desire to refine their writing with others who can respond back with a different style of writing. This way it can help them to improve their writing.

At times I have been asked to help out by a user to help them read something and see what can be improved on. While in the process of helping them I found out that I enjoyed helping them out! So now I want to reach out to more users, specifically new users. I see that some of the new users don't even know how to roleplay, which isn't difficult, but this may stop them from joining a thread they find interesting because they are embarrassed or perhaps intimidated once again. I am not generalizing all users who don't join detailed roleplays to be intimidated but I can see that some are. Although I do give props to those who join a larger writing thread in order to improve.

Okay so on to what I wanted to do...

Okay so I call it the RPN Academy School of Writers:

The overall idea is that it is a school-based rp. But the catch to it is that it is to help users become better, more detail-oreinted writers. I will be roleplaying as a teacher who oversees my students, users who join, and help them progress. To help them progress I will ask them (in my teacher role) to react to a scenario I give them and tell them what they can improve on. Now whenever they feel like they have improved and want to move onto the world of RPN then they can have their character 'graduate'. To add to this unique idea I was thinking from time to time I will ask special guests to come and oversee the current students in the academy. I might ask writers like Pine, Grey, or Lucem Tenebris to come and give out some pointers to the writers. (The names used in the writing are examples, they are not obligated to help whatsoever.)

But looking into it, and asking the opinion of Pine-chan, I am going to be dividing the sessions of improvement into two groups:

One solely focused on roleplaying

And the other on writing

I am doing this because they are quite different from each other, although I may not be the best at writing... I am actually seeking someone who is willing to help me with the writing portion ;-; but I can do it if necessary because I really want to launch this.

The whole basis for this is IMPROVEMENT which means ENCOURAGEMENT and no CRITICIZING.

(I'm capping these words for really myself to remember, but to also capture attention :D )

So far this is the foundation for what I want to hopefully start in the future...I wish to see what other users think of this as well as I have no idea where this type of thing should be placed. (Halp D:)

Thank you for reading this,

(Always open to help :D )

Constructive criticism is an important tool for improvement.

Constant encouragement can do more harm than good.

The idea is not without merit, however.

That's definitely true, actually...

Maybe... don't make there be an activity requirement?

(And make it clear that people are free to come and go as they please.

People can always improve, so I don't know what would count as graduating.

Though any time you or anyone else catches improvement, there could be some sort of benefit to reap.

a friendly pat on the back)

Maybe it could be like a kind of every-other-month event (increments flexible depending on what you think is best)?

There could be time off in order for some people to focus on a few things at once in their other role plays/outside writing, as they so please.

Then you could just advertise each time you're about to open up the event again so that it's free for new people to come and old ones to go as they please.

I hope I'm making sense.

I did have an idea for that being the addition to it but I forgot about it! Thanks for reminding me and I like the idea it could be an event thing more than long-term. I look more into that.

Thank you, I was always teetering on the conception of criticism to encouragement. Overtime as this idea progresses, hopefully, I will carefully think into the balance of those two.
