Image/Gif constraints in posts?

Alright, I can't be the only one that notices the weird shrinking with images and gifs. I want to know what's up with that and understand this problem. It seems that it tries to constrict width more so than height as in this example: this. After print screening and measuring it, the width maxes out at... 761px width. I just want to know why it's doing that so I can figure out ways from keeping my graphics from getting messed up by it.

Wait... Someone helped me explain a bit as to why it's doing that. Is it to try and compress the image file since it contains a rather massive gif size? If that's the case, then the solution is simple enough... if anyone answers back...

I'd like to know what's the standard size before RPN automatically resizes pictures/gifs O_o;

It would help a lot with graphic and coding development...

Hmm.

I'm honestly not quite sure. I'm not usually the person who pokes around with such things. I'll try and dig up an answer for you though.

Cheers,

Mordecai

Thank you, Modecai.

You'll probably be seeing Havoc and I a bit here asking about BBCode-related things.

We're coding fiends. e^e

You're right. xD There is oodles coming in from you people today. *stares suspiciously*

Hehehee. Just kidding. :3

The more questions and suggestions we have means the more invested we are with RPN.

Feel special <3

I can't help it. Seriously, 3 million users will be nothing if some of these answers to BBCoding is answered. RPN will be swarmed with users ready to sink their teeth in here to get away from other sites.

I'm not sure either, its built into the forum software, I'll investigate when I have a chance.

Thanks! If you get the info, let me know. For now, I think I'll keep pushing and breaking the coding still to see how much it can take.

gg, Havoc stress testing BBCodes.

But actually, its good to see people pushing BBCode limits. It really figures out the kinks and what could make a better experience.

And to think he had it in him back in the day.

They grow up so fast. - sniff -

On another note, I'd second that notion. If the problem can be narrowed down then hopefully it's easier to make the proper amends.

So as far as I can tell, there are no image/gif constraints I can control currently running on RpN apart from signatures.

[QUOTE="infamous H4V0C]Hmm... but no information on the maximum load?

Still looking.

Hello to you three. Welcome to the site CTF. I don't know if all 3 of you are familiar with each other, but if you are, great. I like what you're doing and the questions you're asking. It is possible you can make a thread or public spot where I can watch what you all do? I am a sucker for innovation and experimentation, so if you say yes, I would be grateful.

@White Masquerade

I don't see why we can't. owo /

Is there somewhere where I can openly practice my coding?

I currently can't do the level at which Havoc is doing because I can't make my own banners on this silly little laptop. >___<;;
