I'm no stranger to RP :D

Greetings and salutations!

I go by Foomy or TingleRotunda in a few different places on the Internet and have been around for a while. I got my start Role Playing back in chat rooms during the heyday of AOL and have been a dabbling writer ever since. I'm working toward publishing my own stories, but haven't quite reached the finish line yet on that.

My creative tendencies are split between Writing, Drawing, and doing a bit of voice work, though that last one is where I have to least practice and experience.

I'm a huge fan of Anime and Manga, though I have a bad habit of losing track if I try to watch week by week, which leads to a lot of waiting till seasons are over so I can binge watch or binge read. I try to keep up with source materials though which has caused me to dive into the light novels a lot of newer anime are based off of as well.

For Role Play, I tend to be rather narrative focused with how I go about it. I like to use RP as writing practice so sometimes my posts can be pretty lengthy. If this intimidates you, I apologize.

My preference is for original stories and original characters and I don't touch fandom RP. It's not that I don't like fandom RP, it's merely a fact that I would rather expend my creative energy working on something new rather than emulating something else I enjoy. This being said, my hope is that any RP partners I earn from this site are willing to be flexible and creative with character creation.

Last thing: I am a working adult and ask that any partners have patience with me. I work nights and my shifts are typically roughly 10 - 12 hours long. The easiest way to get ahold of me would be through Discord and I would be entirely willing to do RP through that platform as well if there is interest.

Welcome to the site Foomy. Look forward to seeing ya around the site. I also work full time while rp'ing. My days off change every week. That's awesome that you're working towards getting your stories published. I've thought about that a few times before but then I always second-guess the quality of my rp's and whether they are publishing-worthy or not. I'm not intimidated if you regularly post long replies so long as you don't expect your partner to do an entire page every single time? The length of my posts varies depending on what's happening in the story and how much my partner gives me to work with. Also what I'm doing irl at the time, like helping family with stuff.

I don't expect people to make super lengthy posts in response to mine, especially if the part of the story we're on is dialogue heavy or requires an exchange. Sometimes there's only so much that can be put into the post without trying to steer the entire narrative yourself. Plus, people have lives and if a paragraph is all they can pound out as a response then that's just what happens.

I've just literally had it happen before that I've written a 4 - 6 page introduction and I've lost partners because of it. Or I've posted the world building documents I've put together to give interested parties an idea of what I have in mind for a setting and the responses I got were that I had put too much thought into it x_x

Well that's very rational and good of you Foomy. Like I said I'm not intimidated by it and sounds interesting that you've put forth the effort to have that much detail about an idea. Let me know whatever ideas ya have storming around in that brain of yours and I'll be happy to help bud. As for right now, probably not gonna be on for a few hours and I'm getting hungry so......yeah. lol Actually I'm on vacation with my family so we are getting ready to head out and do some stuff but I'll be back on later tonight.
