I'm thirty-three years old. I still train as a powerlifter and am proud of it, but still. It's tough being an athlete in your thirties.
I know when I was younger I can keep up a full time job and train like a full time athlete at the same time. Nowadays, something needs to be compromised even when doing half the workload in the gym compared to my younger years. And it's not like I'll cut back on work.
No reason for me to be sad though. The future is bright for me when I start competing in my forties at the masters division in my sport.
All I've ever wanted was to become Akuma from Street Fighter and defeat the US Military with the sheer power of my fists. But I guess that's too much to ask... All I can be is a relatively strong workaholic dweeb with middle class salary...
