Bardic Inspiration
Howdy I’m Kwillz and I have a superhero plot I’ve been craving for a while. But first let’s go over the guidelines quickly:
Genre: Modern(?), Superheroes and Superpowers
Romance: Sure, maybe
My preferred role: no real preference
For many years, Metro City was a crime ridden mess. Robberies, murders, and countless other felonies were committed day after. That was... until the superhumans emerged. After the first one came up to fight the crime that plagued the city, more followed suit.
Within just a few years the city's crime rate greatly decreased and a new occupation was born: Superheroes. As if it were out of comic books these caped crusades cleaned the streets of bad guys and brought justice wherever they went. Superhero agencies were created to solidify work for all of these new crime fighters and monitor their dangerous powers. All seemed well for quite some time and there was a golden age of heroes.
But it eventually these superpowered men and women fell from grace just as quickly as they came to fame. The agencies could only monitor and regulate so much. Eventually the accidents and casualties caused by superheroes proved to be more harm than good to society and driven by the publics uproarious cries to lock them all away, the government disbanded all superhero agencies and outlawed the use of powers in public.
Years after this crackdown, Muse A is a former superhero using their experience to continue to fight crime. Only now they are just a "normy" detective with the police. They have easily become one of the best on the force, though. They miss their golden years in action, but accept what happened and have moved on. One day, they are given a case to hunt down a group of crooks when they are beaten to it by a mysterious vigilante. This vigilante had been reported to have interfered on countless other crimes before. On top of that, they have been using a familiar set of powers...
Muse A eventually chases them down and finds out it is Muse B, another now-retired superhero who also happens to be their former partner during the golden age. Muse B never accepted the end of the age of heroes. Years ago, the two had a huge argument over the very subject. Muse A told Muse B they had to just accept what happened and not be so stubborn about it, and in return Muse B called a coward for giving up so easily. This heated falling-out was the last interaction between the two before they split, not talking or contacting each other until they found themselves back together here...
Muse B believes there was something bigger behind everything that forced all the heroes to retire. Now, they have to try to convince Muse A to dawn their mask and cape once more in order to get to the bottom of things.
Be aware that I usually like doing one partner per plot so this will probably be first come first serve. hmu over pm if you’re interested. (but imma go to bed now so I’ll respond in the morning)
- I’m ghost/ditch friendly so you should be too. Know that if I lose interest I usually stop responding after a week or so. I know that’s a bad habit but sorry.
- The best way to keep me interested is to respond regularly. You don’t have to everyday since I probably won’t myself, but stick around.
- I’m still under 18. As much as I’d like partners closer to my age I’m used to older partners. But I’m aware people are conscious about rping with minors. I’ll tell you now I consider myself mature enough to hold my own.
- Have decent grammar, third person, write at least a paragraph. My average post is 3 paragraphs but I can be more detailed. Please no one-liners, they make me cry.
- I can play any gender and any pairing, though as a female I do prefer playing such. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DOUBLE AND/OR PLAY SIDE CHARACTERS OF ANY GENDER.
- Romance is great but no smut or anything NSFW. I don’t play romances super saucy but if it really comes to it fade to black. No real triggers on my end. If you have any just let me know.
- I don’t roleplay anthros or furries. I’ve got nothing against you if you do, I’m just not used to it
- PMs over threads. As of now I don’t rp off-site (but OOC is another story)
- I don’t rp off-site but I can OOC chat elsewhere. I love making new pals! I have a discord which I barely use but it’s available to give if you prefer ooc and plotting there.
- I go by EST for timezones.
