If you don't mind a little crazy...

ExtraWhiteRice

Mysterious Character
I'm no role-play genius, but after a long period of writers block breakage due to stress of finals, I find myself with a lack of partners to exchange beautiful words with.

Me? You don't need to know much about me. My most common nickname is Rice, which I respond to quite well. I am a college student, though I am taking a break for the summer semester (Just got my Associate's degree in Geology). I go crazy sometimes when I can't get wordplay exchanges.

What I am looking for:

1. Someone semi-literate. This does not mean perfect grammar/spelling/punctuation. This means I expect you to be able to write one paragraph at a minimum in response. As always, quality trumps quantity. That being said, I'm not looking for someone to write a book with, and responses that are too long or detailed, unless with really great writers, can't capture my attention long enough for me to be able to respond.

2. Someone committed. This does not mean that you need to be on 24/7 to respond. I'm usually on in the evenings after work, and on the weekends when I can. I may not be able to respond every single day, but I will respond whenever I can. Upcoming event? Cool, I have lots of things going on in my life, too. As excited as I get to see a response, all I ask is that you keep in touch with me to let me know what is going on, and I will afford you the same courtesy.

3. Someone friendly. I don't want to fight with you, and I would prefer to become good friends. It helps to banter sometimes to come up with plot ideas.

Ideas:

This is a character flaw. I come up dry when it comes to plots--I've done academy, arranged marriage, curses, elemental roleplays, and more. I prefer things to be fantasy, and I don't mind if that mixes with modern times, though I tend to avoid things that are very futuristic.

I don't mind needing to make a new character for something, though right now I have a character with a 3-way personality split (Hooray Dissociative Identity Disorder!) that I have been yearning to play--for more details, send me a message and I can work with you to come up with a plot. I don't tend to do romance between two guys or two girls, though I'm not totally against it. I tend to like my characters to be able to have supernatural abilities. I like over-powered abilities, but I absolutely do not tolerate godmodding or powerplaying.

Now I feel long-winded. Send me a message if you are interested, if not, I can take a hint. (You might have to spell it out for me, I'm a bit naive!)

Oh! Everyone was expecting crazy. Yeah, I'm afraid it's only a self-proclaimed thing. I actually believe in a lot of the mythological/supernatural things that I write about--also things pertaining to magic and energy. Conspiracy is fun, too, as I was raised by a conspiracy theorist. I don't consider myself an expert, but I try to be knowledgeable about these things!

I'm interested. As far as plots goes, I tend to make that up as I go (keep things loose, you know), but I have a few settings and hooks in mind to start things off.

One idea that I've been wanting to try is where your character gets stuck in a fantasy world.

I'm interested in hearing this plot x-x

The world I have is sort of half-baked. It had multiple races and the magic here is more Tolken/Narnia than D&D

The settings I have in mind to start off in are as follows:

1. The Mountains: A terrain dear to my heart. This is also the home of a cranky, redneck werewolf/bear mountain woman character of mine

2. Marshport: a city state that lies where the slow running Kingfisher river and the ocean mingle (a.k.a: a salt-marsh). It's a bit like New Orleans and has a variety races that call it home. Humans, Gnomes, Dwarves, Minotaurs, Rugarou (scrawny, swamp dwelling, semiaquatic, werewolf looking creatures), and winged snakes that don't know how shut up. This is the most diverse, and most developed location I've cooked up.

3. The Madlands: this is one is strictly experimental. It takes place on a desert(ish) continent the size of Australia. Due to a massive catastrophe that took place and it's prehistory, this land is twisted with magic and is now something of a dangerous, spaghetti-western Wonderland. You never know what you're going to find here.

(Ok. Sorry. I unexpectedly had two people interested in my first post so I wasn't sure what to expect after that.)

Yeah! I haven't gotten enough to keep me fully entertained while not at work yet. (I really am a pacifist! None of my characters are, though...)
