  Hi hi so you can call me Byrin or Rin or whatever, I don't really care aslkdjfhg I'm in my late-late twenties, we're really staring thirty down here at this point. And I'm only a little embarrassed by the graphics I made <3 but at this point I got so exhausted trying to find different little decorations and being unhappy, and I sunk enough hours into making these, that I can't be assed to figure something else out. I just wanna post my ad LOL
  
  And I'm here today to bring you a very, very hyper specific and long winded ad. Because I myself am hyper specific and long winded <3 I have a lot to say all the time, both in and out of character. My character profiles are frequently like 5,000 words long and I can write that IC just as easily. I don't always, but I'm incredibly capable of doing so and I'm trying to warn you now. A lot of people don't like reading that much. I've been told I am intimidating, in spite of every assurance I give everyone constantly that they don't have to write character profiles and they don't have to word count match me. You don't have to write a profile, I promise. I'm just so long winded that it is genuinely better for every party involved if I put my thoughts in a handy dandy profile for people to read so I'm not mindlessly babbling at them more than I have to.
  
  That said! As I'm sure you probably gleaned by now (either from the thread title, the tabs on this post, or the decoration on this post), I'm looking for a very narrow field of things. I'm autistic and a demi-ace, so I'm completely consumed by Marvel and Baldur's Gate and part of that is my taste is very very hyper specific. I'm only looking to write against Tony Stark or Gale Dekarios. Now I have a whole list of AUs, so it doesn't have to be in their home media if you don't want, and I'm more than happy to split roleplay with you if I know the other fandom. But your options for what you write for my side are narrow. It's Tony or Gale, take your pick alksdjhfgk
  
  I've got all my plot ideas and anything else I'd ramble about in their tabs (hence picking this way of laying my information out). Final warning now: there is a LOT to read. I talk a LOT and I have a lot of thoughts and a lot of feelings. I mean when I say if you don't like reading, you're gonna want to pass this advert by. No hard feelings! And no judgment against you, I know we're all mentally ill in this hobby. Most of us have ADHD and/or depression, I understand not wanting to read this much.

  A smidge more about me: In OOC I don't do proper case like this, it's all lower case. I'm, like I said, autistic and also queer. I swear a lot, probably excessively to some. I have many many untreated mental illnesses and I have an unstable home life so although I am a certified yapper and I never shut the fuck up, I do actually shut the fuck up sometimes. I will run out of social battery in the blink of an eye and might go radio silent out of the blue for a few hours or a day. I'm on some new medication for a physical ail we're trying to handle and it makes me really really tired and nauseous, so that can also put me out of commission suddenly and out of the blue.
  
  I'm very enthusiastic about a lot of things, I pull more than my weight in a roleplay (I will frequently just start writing a room of NPCs because I used to admin roleplays, and I don't expect you to NPC match me). If you're nice and polite about it and you're not asking me to get into something impossible to catch up on in less than six months like One Piece, I might even look into a fandom of yours! I'm very happy to reciprocate desperate hyper specific needs because like. Look at me. Listen you might not know it yet but by the time you read this entire ad (if you do) you will see that I'm all over the place asking for the moon and shit. I'm happy to give the moon in return.
  
  I love video games, I don't think I mention it much in the ad (outside of like.... BG3... obviously aksjfgh) but it's what I spend most my free time doing if I'm not writing. I love love love video games so much, and am usually happy to look into a VG as well if again it's not like impossible for me to do.

  And frankly if we were talking at any point in the last year and I vanished, I'm sorry about that. A very close friend of mine died, and I kind of didn't know what to do about it and ended up shutting down socially (and then a bunch of other shit happened on top of that aslkjdhg).

  Since I'm in my late-late twenties, I'm looking for someone who is at least 23 themselves, but it'd be even better if you were 25+
  
  In this house we double. If you don't know what doubling means, it means that I write both my character and who you want me to write for you, and you write your character and who I want you to write for me.
  
  It's a fairness thing derived from the old days of "canon x oc is SO selfish and unfair" which is why old farts like me say it's for "balancing" or "tit for tat" or whatever, since I've seen a lot of confused people lately. If I'm asking for canon x oc, it's only right I offer the same (or whatever it is you want) in return. Something I am completely capable of, I don't know why people make such a big deal out of lying on their fainting couch and claiming they can't do two sets of characters at once. Especially when they're totally okay with writing out background characters at the same time??
  
  I will even triple for you, if you're in the market for a love triangle or a polyam OT3. You do not in any way have to triple in return, in fact I'd prefer if you didn't.
  
  I also am completely comfortable writing as much space filling NPCs and canons as we need. I never let a scene go empty, and I'm happy to write surrounding characters. In fact I do it automatically. Sometimes people are surprised by this. I used to admin group roleplays.
  
  At this time I am not looking for any NSFW content in my roleplays. I fade to black, and I won't be bullied into doing otherwise. (Dick jokes and talking about the fact adults do fuck is fine though, fading to black doesn't mean instant prude status). While this is not allowed on RPN, some people tend to auto assume it's on the table if we end up writing in Discord due to the being two adults thing, and I just want them to know up front that it's not.
  
  I am however alright with like, a bit of violence. About Witcher 3's level is as far as I'm comfortable going: Durge can get messy as a treat if we want, we just don't need to go body horror with the organs, right?
  
  Limits: Are very important, do not forget them. I do not want drugs, alcohol, smoking, vaping, or substance abuse to feature in or out of character. I don't want to see memes about it, I don't want to write about it. Nothing. I should not have to justify this, but my hobby and the dms of people I hope to be friends with is literally the only place I can ask to be a safe space. Because it is everywhere. I'm not judging people, I don't care what you do. I just don't want to hear about it, because I can't escape it anywhere else.
  
  I also am not wild about sexual assault, or the community's standard limits list of: pedophilia, incest, bestiality, etc. Leave all of that at the door, thank you. Rule number one of the salon is don't be nasty and you know that!
  
  All I'm asking is like, a strong confidence in your writing ability. Are you unphased by yo-yo'ing partner post lengths? Are you also vibes based? Do you feel like you have a strong sense of character writing? Confident in your ability to plot with me and share the load of moving the plot forward? Wonderful! That's all I ask. Confidence that you can do this, and if you can't, that you'll figure it out! Just because you haven't written something before doesn't mean I don't want to talk to you? Which seems to be a prevailing pattern people believe? Everyone writes something for the first time all the time omg it's totally okay to find your footing! You gotta find it somehow!   My OC x Pre-established, Pre-Afghanistan Tony and working through the films? His life? An AU? W/e, but starting in 2008 Iron Man​

  
  Now I know a lot of people tend to cringe at pre-established or in general think it’s boring. But I don’t mean they were already like super together and had had a full character arc and everything prior to the roleplay ever starting. What I mean by this is I want to play with a plot where my OC and Tony were acquainted (preferably as friends with benefits) prior to his abduction in by the Ten Rings. During his time away my OC will realize oops! She accidentally fell in love with the emotionally unavailable playboy she was supposed to be having a not serious relationship with! And now he’s probably dead. Cue emotional turmoil!
  
  I like to pick the plot up at and start the roleplay when he comes home from Afghanistan, and work through the no doubt complicated feelings going on, building their relationship throughout the timeline. I’m not asking for insta-love. I’m just asking for two people who know each other and now have a whole lot of baggage to haul out of the basement thanks to someone’s near death experience.
  
  I’m also not looking for this idea some people have that a roleplay ends with a couple getting together. I don’t want to artificially postpone them getting together, but again I’m not asking for insta-love. Just for something to evolve naturally. I’m sure that’s all obvious but I have had people try to withhold them from dating for esoteric reasons, and I just want to cover my bases since this is the most frequently misunderstood plot I want to do.
  
  Now obviously, this is very self indulgent. I would never dream of asking for this for my side without being willing to absolutely reciprocate. If you have a Marvel bae you want to work through the films with or some other self indulgent ask you never get to use, ask away. I am happy to do whatever you want for your side in exchange.
  
  I also recognize this is disgustingly self indulgent, but what is roleplay if not the wish fulfillment hobby? Naturally, in return, I am happy to write whatever self indulgent AU you are after!

  General space shenanigans. Tony + his found family the Guardians is extremely important to me.​

  
  I absolutely adore throwing Tony and my OC up into the cold, unforgiving expanse of space to be picked up by the Guardians. Them acting as a found family for Tony just means a lot to me, especially with how the writers for the MCU just. Refused to make the Avengers friends? If they won’t let the Avengers be friends, then I’ll give Tony friends by way of the Guardians god damn it. (Yes, him being Friends with Rocket and Nebula in Endgame was very important to me, thank you for asking)
  
  I am perfectly happy with your side being either from Earth or from space! Although this idea revolves around the Guardians, please don’t feel like your love interest has to be from the space scape, as I am ready and willing to find a way to drop kick everyone into space regardless of where your love interest comes from.
  
  If curious! My most commonly utilized plot involves the Collector hiring someone, be it the Guardians or another faction, to scoop up Tony. Frequently the reasoning is either A) Tony’s suit and reactor is unique, and he’s interested, or B) he’s interested in getting him as a gladiator present for his brother, the Grandmaster's, birthday. We don’t have to use this idea, I am happy to come up with others, brainstorm something together if you like But I know people often wonder how I plan to get them up there, and that one’s a pretty sure bet.
  
  

  Potential Firefly influence?​

  
  Either instead or or in addition to the thoughts above, we could add some Firefly spice into this? Firefly is cowboys in space, let’s be real, and Quill gives a lot of pretending at being a space cowboy energy. I think kind of slapping him with some Mal energy could be really fun if you want him as a love interest. Not required! Just something I’ve talked about with some people before and I am pretty fond of.

  I'm also currently in Chapter 7 of the 2021 video game! And I love it a lot so far. I don't know anything about the comics (but want to start reading them soooon especially the arc where Tony is with them ) and we don't at all have to stick to the MCU version of the Guardians (especially since I have my own headcanon version of Quill rattling around in my head that's 100% not Crisp Rat askjdhfg) I just love the Guardians as a concept. I love space families, I love Firefly and Star Trek is one of my favorite childhood series as well, and I love all the space stuff in Steven Universe, etc etc. I just love space settings LOL esp slice of life space settings (ST:TNG my beloved)

  So I’m like too in love with this game. As someone who never read the comics, and didn’t really get into Tobey’s Spider-Man and catch the bug like my sibling did, I feel like with this game I finally get it, you know? Spider-Man is one of the most popular superheroes, and I wasn’t like. On the hype train. But now I’m on the hype train.
  
  I’m unfortunately not really sure what I want to do with these games. All I know is that I love them, and I’d trade several organs to be able to write Insomniac’s Peter for you. I want to write him so so bad I just think he’s wonderful. I also love Yuri but not nearly as much as Peter.
  
  We could follow the games, maybe do some pre-game stuff with Peter? Explore some of the 8 years prior to the game of him being Spidey? Maybe expand on some of the lore tidbits we get throughout the game in dialogue and mostly the backpack collectables? We could also do some post-game (any of the three) stuff. We could rewrite some of the game! We could save some characters maybe. I’m not sure! I’d love to explore literally anything with this, so if you have something in mind please let me know!
  
  I’d love to figure out some ways to incorporate other Marvel characters too, just because seeing all the little nods and hints in the games to other villains or heroes or the dialogue tied to certain landmarks, or Otto getting bankrolled by Advanced Idea Mechanics: that shit was thrilling. I’d love to find a way to do more of this, even if it’s just figuring out how we slam dunk Iron Man into the scene.

  I have a few multiverse ideas, one of which is original but could also be tied to NWH or even Insomniac if we wanted. Another one involves TVA/Loki S1 stuff. We could probably swing something DSMOM related!
  
  Most of it deals with my OC having been involved with a Tony (be it MCU or some other universe's Tony), and loses him. Then typically she either tries to find a way to fix it (TVA intervenes) or she goes on a grief fueled vigilante spree and gets somehow knocked into a new dimension (original/nwh/insomniac) where she can stop this universe's Tony from suffering the same fate, blah blah blah. It's all pretty loose and idk how super attached I am to it, but I came up with it because I was sad about IWEG and watching Phase 4 is hard LOL
  
  I also have a Spider-AU for my OC (who is normally just a civilian and doesn't have any powers other than This Stick She Found™), because who among us didn't make a Spider AU after seeing Spider-Verse LOL

  [✦] I am currently running a Good Aligned Custom Tav playthrough, and I am in Act Three. I have full intentions to do a Dark Urge, Astarion Origin, and Gale Origin run. Most if not all of them will remain good aligned, as that’s who I am. We can talk about stuff I haven’t seen! But like. Don’t bust down my door spoiling the whole playthrough for me, please? Unique dialogue/narration stuff is a big reason why I want to do these playthroughs, and while sharing things here and there is fine! Just, be courteous of the fact I haven't done it yet please.
  
  As far as where I am in Act Three: I’ve got a certain legacy character in my party, I’ve finished Daughter of Darkness, I’ve got most of Wizard of Waterdeep done, and I’ve robbed a bank. Those are the big things. Oh also I ruined a wine tasting party. I can be more specific with quest logs and shit if you too are around that area, but I’m being vague for those of us who aren’t yet ♡
  
  And yes, this is where I've been since about October 2023. A lot of things came up for me, and I started a new run with my qpp that got exploded by Patch 7. So my progress is slow, and I'm unable to play the game right now. That doesn't mean I'm not still ravenously thinking about it at all times. Hence the search ad.   We can go as laissez faire or as hardcore mechanic about it as you like. Whether it’s just loosely following the plot or like sharing class builds and shit, I’m down for either! But know at the end of the day I’m one of those people who believe if the rules of Dungeons and Dragons are prohibiting fun, then it’s time to throw them out (like that old rule about all Tieflings being evil or some shit.   Self Indulgent Pre-Established (sort of) Bullshit!

  
  Now I know a lot of people tend to see the term pre-established and cringe or in general think it’s boring. But wait, don’t scroll by! I don’t mean they were already like super together and had had a full character arc and everything prior to the roleplay ever starting. By pre-established I just mean that they knew each other. (And yeah, if you've read the Marvel tab, I did write the same thing <33 I get lazy too!)
  
  I’ve got an AU that I’m growing fonder of by the day, where my Tav has known Gale since they were teenagers (having attended Blackstaff together). They’re best friends and have been for decades at this point, and unbeknownst to Gale, my Tav has been in love with him since their days at academy. But his friendship means more to her than anything, so she’s never brought it up. Especially not when he was dating other people and later Mystra. She’s always been supportive and just quietly, quietly pines in the background.
  
  When he returns to Waterdeep after the netherese orb embedded itself in his chest and Mystra broke it off with him, after not seeing him for a while (since he’d been off with Mystra and later looking for the orb itself) she shows up to help him through this dark period in his life, and to help him find a cure. Gale is someone the game clearly writes with depression and something akin to (if not outright) suicidal ideation, and journeys of healing are narratives that I really really enjoy and cherish. So this would obviously be a lot of healing and then sweet sweet pining because like. Yearning, yanno? This sounds, as I write it out, like I can fix him fic and like I guess it’s not not that but? It’s more about giving Gale the tools to fix himself.
  
  Listen. I’m not explaining it good. But we’re all depressed queers in this Chili’s tonight, are we not? My depressed queers get it. We wanna see these bitches get some therapy! And learn to recognize their support groups! Even if that support group is your one school friend and your cat. You gotta start somewhere.
  
  This can be a pre-game thing if you want to later move into the game’s plot, or we don’t even have to touch the game’s plot. I am happy as a clam to just party on with Gale’s personal quest and figure out an alternative solution to the orb.

  Grabs your face. Listen. Listen to me. Are you listening? I love spy shit so god damn much. So much. So so so so so much. One of my favorite games as a toddler was Spy Fox. I watched Austin Powers way too young (largely my dad's fault but I loved the spy shenanigans anyway). Whether we build a sort of original AU off of the tropes inherent in the genre and the various media franchises I have offered as my main sources of inspiration, or we just wholesale take one of them and go "mine now!" and make it like a Kingsman AU or w/e is fine by me. I primarily have two major interests here.

  If we do something Kingsman specifically, either of those could work but I also have a third option, in which my OC and the boy are in a fake relationship due to witness protection. They're high profile targets for some supervillain, so the Kingsman (or the Statesmen, whoever) have posted a guard (or two, depending on what ur side is doing) with my oc and her boy who are pretending to be married, even tho they never met before this whole witness protection scheme

I don't care what flavor if it's something low sci-fi modern like DBH, if it's some sort of retelling of Wall-E with androids, if it's some post apocalyptic fantasy thing where thousands of years after the fall of civilization some android wakes back up, if it's!! Some random sci-fi setting where a cargo ship crash lands on its route and some scavenger finds the still operating pilot bot, if it's some fantasy setting where it's an arcane automaton and there's witches and wizards and dragons - I don't care! I want to write a robot! SO so so so so so badly! I love robots I love writing robots so much. Many of my favorite media characters are fucking robots (Fi from Zelda, Data from TNG, Echo from Overwatch, Wall-E and Eve, Baymax, fucking Jarvis!!! That's my boy!).

  Secondary Inspirations: 80's aesthetics, especially the like... set designs of children's shows and cartoons around that time, and the early 90s (when the interior design was still hanging on)? That like... glass block walls and indoor palm trees, very clinically clean and "modern" but still bursting with 80s funk and aesthetic. Almost liminal spaces, the way empty 80s malls feel in photos and 80s office spaces.
  
  Dude I don't fucking know I have this weird magnetic pull to the 80s. There's something about the aesthetics and the radio static and the TV grain that captivates me. I wasn't alive during the 80s but sometimes it almost feels like it was the way it feels hazy in my memory. I'm sure it's just whatever I was watching on TV in the mid nineties but fuck if it sometimes doesn't feel like a past life. Because of this I tend to love literally anything 80s, esp the mid/late 80s. Idk what we'd do here, maybe something slice of life (which I love!), maybe something fantasyish (I know I listed Labyrinth in the fantasy tab but I do love Labyrinth! A lot! And it hits a lot of those vibes I'm talking about!) maybe something sci-fi ish (the way TNG is the future but 80s is so. so good. it kills me.)

  I like space media that's less that plenty (Star Wars, Fifth Element, you name it) but my favorite kind of space media is where you throw a bunch of bitches that preferably hate each other into a ship and watch them all become so ride or die they'll not only kill anyone that threatens their new family but they'll also single handedly fix the universe juust to keep each other safe. That is my absolute favorite type of space adventure, where the big focus is this group of characters and the main setting is the singular ship they live on.
  
  So literally anything like that. I would love to do that, whether it's some sort of like ST or GOTG AU or whatever, or we make our own space ship and our own galaxy and alien worlds. You throw a space ship at me and I'm down.

  I'm weak and stupid and love this show. I've been a Trekkie since I was six, sue me. Also Riker is like. Annoyingly my type. I miiiiight even let you just get away with writing Riker if you just wanna do a TNG rp LOL. But also! We can do a ton of stuff with Tony/Gale. One of them could take Riker's place (idk if that's my favorite option, but it's an option), Gale could be along as part of the Science division or even an independent researcher that's a civilian on the ship. Tony could be a civilian that, with too much leisure time on his hands, decided boarding a Starfleet ship would be some big adventure. Idk! We can talk it out!
  
  In TNG, my OC is a Command division pilot, and I tend to have her work the night shift (opposite to the bridge crew). Sometimes she is a catgirl. If you read the fantasy tab, you know I have a weakness for catgirls.

And they're all dark haired men with beards, and almost all of them have big brown cow eyes (except Riker but close enough).

However I'm still stubbornly attached to that stupid magic school and do very much enjoy writing in that universe in my private hobby with other people who agree with me that JKR sucks and her writing is riddled with shit that we're just going to rip out and fix.
  
  I love Hogwarts, it's my favorite part of the setting. I just love a big mysterious school with secrets to find and I'm also such a sucker for slice of life. Which a magic half sentient castle is so good for. I've also got this entire like university systerm for Hogwarts figured out more or less, so we can totally do uni years if you wanna fuck around in Hogwarts.
  
  We could write in almost any era, though my favorite is probably Marauders just bc that's where I'm usually living when I ask for canon x oc alksdjhfkgk but Golden and Legacy are options too. I'd rather not do next gen and I don't pay any attention to Cursed Child. I read it once and that was mistake enough. I don't know much about Mystery but if you wanna and you can give me a quick infodump, I don't see why not. I've only seen the first FanBeasts so idk what's going on w Hogwarts in that era. Marauders, Legacy, or Golden would be my preferences.
