Looking for Ideas for small sewing project

I'm teaching myself how to sew and want some ideas for what to practice next. The only fabrics I have to use is old clothes that don't fit my daughter anymore.

You could try making some toys. I think old childrens clothes should be good enough for making toys because they're usually bright and colorful.
There are lots of patterns you can easily find for them too.

I was going to make hearts out of the old clothes then realized I have nothing to use as stuffing, rip. Going to need to make a run to the craft store if I can.

Hmm, if you're not wanting to run out for stuffing, you could make a coin purse or pencil pouch. Would probably require a zipper though, which you may or may not have at home haha. Scrunchies would work too, but you'd probably need elastic. Maybe you could salvage that from some of the clothes you have?

I went out to get stuffing. Worth it sense it had been a while since I went out. Thanks for the other ideas.
