Gin spoke to Aaron, Esther and Bast. Gin had noticed that Teppo also had seemingly disappeared.
"Great. Teppo is also gone now. Well I suppose we have no choice but to go after the cat. Whoever wants to go after Aaron feel free. I'm kinda curious about Lucasas." She said walking towards the fountain.

Gin continued to walk towards the fountain where the spirit cat creature sat by. The whiteness of the fountain water came off as strange and mysterious. The cat creature stared at Gin as she approached. The Cat began to speak up, it's eyes blueish and the white ghostly appearance of it's form shimmering transparently.
"Ah so the newcomers finally approach me. Took you all long enough. I was beginning to think you'd all be arguing forever." The ghostly cat said licking it's paws as it sat on the fountain.
Gin wasn't sure what to make of the cat but the mischievous banter was certainly another addition to this strange town. As she stood by the fountain she found it strange that a ghost cat of all things was spoken so highly about in a rundown town. But she needed answers about Heru.
"Do you perhaps know where Heru is?" She said hopefully, crossing her fingers.

The cat looked amusedly at the girl, it prowled around the edges of the fountain as it spoke again.
"I'm afraid not. Although I have a feeling you may find answers by the necromancer's burial site. Cat senses and all are telling me that. But I do have one request. You must help this town prepare for the invasion of demons. It's not that hard to tell that this place is ill prepared for any sort of attack. We're already a mess with a problem and our leader Heru is missing. Once the demons come this place will be nothing but a ruin of dead bodies and broken houses. We're gonna die and there's no doubt about that. I heard from your conversation with our local "guard" that you're trying to get to Ibelstan. Heru definitely would be able to help in that regard."

She patted Aaron on the back. ''Guess I'll take a look at this fountain cat" She said. "Maybe since we are both cats, it'll trust me?" She sounded like she was doubting herself, but she couldn't think of anything else.

"Great. Teppo is also gone now. Well I suppose we have no choice but to go after the cat. Whoever wants to go after Aaron feel free. I'm kinda curious about Lucasas." She said walking towards the fountain.

Aaron was rather quiet as everyone split apart. He stuck with Bast and Gin, not meeting either of their eyes. He only quietly waited a split distance between the two, letting them lead the events how they chose to. He was too focused on calming down, beating himself up for acting like a fool. How is he supposed to be dependable if he let a couple of pointless insults get to him?

Innuo Haruta
“Fine and yes now keep up with the program sweet buns”
He had meant the words to Luna to come out less harsh and sexist but....that wasn’t going to happen apparently. Innuo did however accept the napkin and nod his thanks as he listened to the Samurai before them.
The swordsman seemed trustworthy in his words as had the assassin. What perturbed the younger man was that all of these people did nothing for this missing Heru who seemed rather important to both his group and the town.
Yet being children of prophecy seemed to have paid off in this aspect as Varte finished cleaning the blade and even offered his services in helping the children with their search.
The demon blood boiled, his reddened eyes were itching to fight and test this mans strength against his own. But he stilled himself and instead stuck his head upward to force the blood to trickle down his throat. He had heard it both ways when he had a nose bleed, leaning forward or backward he never found the right answer. Nor did it seem to matter.

“Any help would be great, at this rate we are gonna solve this mystery and get Heru back before the others...and then I’m gonna kick his *#^ for disappearing”
Innuo stood up cracking his knuckles and smiling his eyes profound with adventure and focused on an objective. Yet as he turned to join the blind swordsman towards the exit he stopped to answer something Luna had asked prior.
The demons voice calmed and sounded more serious but sincere at the same time.

“Yes, I remember you Luna. Sorry for....staring at your breasts but it keeps me grounded. Besides their nice, now let’s get a move on both of you”
His tone fringing and blurring the line from sincere to rash almost instantly as he winked back towards the girl and opened the door awaiting Varte’s lead.

Luna was a bit taken aback by the random nickname. She didn't have any hair buns so she could only think of a few things that he could refer to. All things that she would rather not want herself or him to think about. Nevertheless, she listened closely to the samurai's words. She had no idea who this assassin was but was quite glad to be caught up with what had happened in Millstone village. Luna's first thought was that their Mayor might have died when trying to deal with the necromancer...but it seemed that no one else thought that. So, she decided to keep that thought to herself not wanted to seem like a downer. She crossed her arms as she tried to think about it. "Um. Was Heru able to get inside the tower? If so, do you know how he did it? Or do you maybe know someone who may know how he did it?" She asked wondering if they could just mimic the way Heru did it.

Being stumped on this mystery made her frown a bit but that soon lifted into a smile when the older man offered to help both of them out. "Thank you...! I'm sure we'll all find something out if we're all looking together." She injected wanting to add a bit of optimism to this conversation. She gave a glance over to the other boy and gave a sheepish laugh at his statement about beating up Heru. "I'm sure Heru didn't disappear by choice though. Beating him up seems a little bit unnecessary don't you think?" She rubbed her head and soon got up when it seemed like they were all leaving.

When her blonde friend started speaking again she gave a smile when he said he remembered her but soon froze at what was said next. She held an awkward look on her face before quickly flushing up as a panicked expression spread on her face when the other finished that statement with a wink. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to react to that. She knew that he was staring at her but not at that specific part of her body! And then he apologized about it when she didn't even notice it! What was she supposed to say to that? Technically that was a compliment, was she supposed to say thank you? But that was still kind of a weird thing to do! "I-I um! O-Okay...?" She barely managed to stammer out before shaking her head and looking away from the boy.

Deciding to just pretend that he never said that she looked to the swordsman, still with a flushed face but had managed to calm herself down enough to make actual sentences after that little freakout. "U-Um...do you need help finding your way to the door- or how do get around when you can't see?" She asked the older man. He didn't have a sort of walking stick as most blind people had but maybe he could navigate around with something else she just didn't know yet.

Teppo could be rather quick when he meant to be, and while the first set of tracks didn't find him something worth pursuing, and in fact had led to something that had disappeared into a pond that he felt fairly certain was home to a crocodile or something similar, he could narrow down only a few other tracks that could belong to something responsible for dragging someone off and already followed a couple now. If this next one didn't yield any answers then it was likely that what they were looking for was in town after all. It would be better to return to the group anyway if this situation turned dangerous. Teppo made his way down the final set of tracks but found they disappeared further down and was about to retrace his steps to town when he noticed a burrow, the inhabitant of which had plenty reason to be left alone, and so he did.

He had been gone for some time by now he was certain but the exact length he didn't know. Hopefully the others hadn't decided to move on without him if they found anything. He didn't know if they would still be around the fountain and inn but it was his only lead, so he started heading off in that direction, keeping his senses sharp for any sign of them along the way. If he didn't find them back where they started, maybe the shady fellow or someone inside the inn wouldn't mind pointing him in the right direction but failing that, he'd just have to look, and in a place this quiet voices might carry pretty far.

Varte listened to the pair of children as their awkward flirting passed. He didn't exactly admire Innuo's abrasiveness and disrespect towards the girl, but it was more important to find Heru.
He walked to the door making his way past the children.
"I am fine. I may be blind but my hearing is incredibly sharp. The best thing we can do is retrace Heru's steps. Which means starting at the graveyard." He said as they walked past the town. The others could be seen having split up, with Gin and Aaron having made their way to Lucasas.
"I suppose those are some of your friends?" He said listening as Lucasas spoke to the others. Esther could also been seen nearby.
As Varte continued to walk by the fountain, Lucasas however spoke up.
"Ah Varte. It is nice to see you up and moving. I was afraid that Heru's disappearance had gotten you down for good." The Spirit Cat Spoke up.
Varte turned to face the cat before speaking.
"It's time we investigate the tombs of the necromancer. I fear something fishy is happening with Heru's disappearance.

Innuo watched as the unlikely pair passed him and exited the tavern behind the blind swordsman and Luna. He followed listening to Varte speak mentioning the others of their party knowing that it was partly due to his own actions that they had split up.
The graveyard was the destination or at least the starting point and the necromancers continued to be brought up but always followed by it had been handled. The priest wondered if it truly had been and knew that he would have to apologize to Aaron sooner or later.
He never meant to be so crude or distasteful it just always happened that way. He owed most of the group an apology when he changed back. If he could manage to form a sentence when the time came.
When they passed by Lucasas and the others he did not offer eye contact to the group instead resorting to looking around and scanning his surroundings. They were all bunched up and apparently heading in the same direction now. The group was more or less back together.
They had passed by Teppo as well Innuo offering a wave to follow along as he moved beside him.
Together the ragtag group of wannabe heroes would search for Heru in the tombs. A smile spread across Innuo’s face as he pulled the leather of his gloves to tighten them further to his hands. He was ready for some action already, itching for a fight.

Teppo didn't know what kind of lead they had found, but on his way back he had met back up with at least two of the group and someone else that was leading them as it turned out to a cemetery. Considering how this world seemed to be not too far off from the typical on from the fantasy media he had encountered in Japan, it kinda made sense that something would lead there. What they would find there was another question, but if it were one of the prior mentioned pieces of media, they'd either find some impossibly young adept of a misunderstood art, or some bastard who looked as ugly on the outside as he was on the inside. A ridiculously attractive and overly feminine male villain was not impossible either. This line of thought was absolutely silly though, this wasn't some piece of entertainment, it was a real world with real evil and danger.

"We're going to go into some deep and expansive crypt I take it, so before we go charging in there, does anyone want to suggest a plan?" He wasn't exactly equipped for a hard fight, repelling wild animals was the least and most of his abilities without something more to work with, but maybe if someone could stand between him and whatever was trying to gut him he could zap and recharge his figurative batteries, and repeat enough to kill a thing or two if it was necessary. Maybe rats, even ones of unusual size, would be nice, something he could pull his weight against and collect something useful from after. "We don't really have a choice either way though. The only things I found outside town were a crocodilian and a..what was that word again? A stink marten? Someone here knows what I mean, yes?"

Lucasas smirked as Varte lead the children to the Graveyard. He followed along. It was nice to see that people were willing to finally do something about Heru's disappearance. As a spirit cat he couldn't do anything himself. He was intangible so he mainly just lurked around, finding enjoyment with messing with people.

As Varte passed by Lucasas spoke up to Gin and Aaron.
"How about we join Varte on his walk to the Graveyard?" He said to the pair. Lucasas stepped off the fountain following Varte and his pair along with Gin and Aaron.
Teppo showed up. Lucasas answered the child.
"Ah nothing like that. Just a small walk to a Graveyard." He said.

The group made their way past the swamp to a graveyard. It was lined with gates and a small entrance through the middle could be seen. Various tombstones could be seen all around.
Varte took the opportunity to address everyone.
"Alright everyone, we need to look for a tombstone with red markings."

Esther silently shrugged and followed Gin and Aaron to talk to the cat spirit, deciding to give up on the whole "sticking together" idea. They all seemed eager to explore on their own, so she supposed so shouldn't think about it too hard.

Lucasas' offer wasn't a strange one, and she supposed it was a given, with what the prophecy is about. It only made sense for the people supposed to be saving the world from the demon invasion helped them prepare--not that she was included in that group.

"Sounds fine to me," she smiled, looking to the others for their opinion.

Not too long after, a stranger showed up with their two missing team members--and someone else from the castle? She wasn't with them before--oh, wait. Esther vaguely remembered that one of them missed the departure time. This must be her. Luna, wasn't it?

She has happy they were already going to start their search for Heru and joined them all on their way to the graveyard. On their way, she got to see a swamp for the first time in the flesh; she couldn't even recall seeing one in her past life. After smelling it, though, she decided she hadn't missed much.

"Alright everyone, we need to look for a tombstone with red markings."

"Why red markings?" Esther asked curiously, glancing around the graveyard.

The directions were clear, so Teppo wasted no time scanning the place for this red marked tombstone, but one of the others asked about it. "It has something to do with the missing person and possibly someone believed to have taken them. We will know more when we find it, probably." He was just a bit happier that according to their guide, they weren't going down into some intricate maze of passages full of necromancers and undead things. This group already gave him the impression that they'd get separated, lost and possibly starve down there while the demons tore up the surface. He wondered while he inspected each stone for the red markings, for perhaps the second time since she had left him, if his mentor was watching him and laughing at the messes he had found himself in. He didn't know whether he wanted her to be or not either, because if she was it might be quite embarrassing when and if he saw her again, and if she wasn't then she was that much further away from him now.

Teppo's thoughts turned towards the other important people in his life, or rather that had been and as a result his focus fell from the task at hand and he nearly missed the thing they were looking for, but his hand scrapping against the rough surface of one of the stones brought him back to the present. "It's here, the tombstone" he stated, though whether anyone had heard when he spoke softly out of habit, he didn't know. Rather than check, he inspected the stone and its markings more closely to see if he could understand anything about it.

Luna nodded at Varte. Pretty impressed that someone could have hearing so sharp that they work almost just as well as another set of eyes. Luna had a rather good sense of hearing but even she wasn't sure if she could navigate around without her eyes...though if she was forced to only walk around with her hearing she'd eventually learn to adjust to it better. Maybe she could practice something like that. Luna trailed behind the two guys as they began heading to the graveyard it sounded like. Not a place she wanted to head to but it couldn't be helped. At the mention of some friends she looked around and noticed other familiar faces. First, was Gin and Aaron talking to a...cat? Okay. A girl whose name was Esther if she recalled correctly. And eventually, Teppo who just kinda strolled up from who knows where.

When the cat started talking she was kinda surprised but also wasn't. It was unexpected but the very fact that it was unexpected made it rather expected. Luna cringed at her own tongue-twister of thoughts and watched the cat curiously before being led off to the graveyard with everyone else. She gave a small wave at any familiar faces she saw around her before turning her attention to the yard of graves before them all. She never recalled ever being to one before but it was as creepy as they seemed in the movies. "Red markings? Okay." She answered the swordsman without any questions and began the search for that specific grave. She went from grave to grave while humming a rather soothing song to herself to rest her nerves of something like a zombie or monster busting out of the ground she was walking on. Fortunately, nothing like that happened. Luna had checked a good section of the yard but no red markings. She looked up to her fellow teammates and heard that Teppo found it. At least she thinks she heard him say that. She couldn't catch everything that was said but hurried over to the long-haired witch and he indeed was standing by the grave with the red markings. "You found it." She stated simply and watched the other inspect the grave for a few moments before examining the stone more herself.

Varte was glad to see how quickly the children had found the gravestone.
"Good work. Now move children, I need to dig up the grave. It's with a heavy heart that I must do this and disrespect the dead like this but I need to be sure of my own suspicions."
Moving past the children towards the gravestone, Varte had grabbed a shovel from nearby and began digging up the grave.
As he dug down, he was met with a coffin, which he opened up only to find the coffin was indeed empty.
This was what he had expected, which meant only one thing.
"I had my suspicions for awhile, although I did not want to risk bringing the dead upon the town. But now that I know I was correct, that won't be an issue."
"It appears our necromancer is still alive, and likely the reason for Heru's disappearance. It has been good for us that so many of you have arrived here at Millstone, otherwise what we need to do next won't be possible."
With the combined magic of all of the children of the prophecy and the residents of the village, they could do what needed to be done. For awhile now nobody had been able to undo the magic sealing the clocktower, but with all of their efforts combined, they could break the seal and face the necromancer hiding inside.
"I believe that the necromancer is the reason the clocktower has been sealed by magic. If you all can find eachother and gather everyone at the clocktower, I think we'll have enough magic to break the seal locking it away and fight the necromacer that I believe is hiding inside. Can you two make sure to go find all of your companions and bring them to the clocktower? I'll make sure to bring every resident there, meet me there soon." Varte spoke to the group of children.

Aaron was listless as he followed Gin about the dark, dreary village. He hardly registered everything that had happened as he lamented over his behavior in the last confrontation with the boy from before. It was horrific to him, how much he sounded like many of his own family who’d he had once been abandoned by. He didn’t even realize they had changed until he felt Gin brush against him. He blinked looking up and around, “W-....wait, what happened?”

Combining magic wasn't a foreign concept to Teppo but he had never done it with strangers or even more than one person. He and his mentor had combined their strength in rituals to establish some of the magic protecting their territory, things like curses that would strike poachers with an illness only a witch could cure. He didn't think they would fail completely to break the barrier if it wasn't something crazy strong, but it would be inefficient with the lack of familiarity and less magically inclined members of their group. It'd be like the difference between using an open frying pan vs a covered one. They might want to rest some after they broke the seal, but first they needed to gather as the one that guided them to the graveyard mentioned. Not everyone needed to go assemble the group and he wasn't the most familiar with the rest anyway, so it seemed like the best place for him would be to go the clocktower and start drawing some sigils and circles to make the task at hand easier.
