I tried something new!

Well, this is my first time posting anything over here, I usually stay in the writing-zone of this site. That is mostly because of insecurity, because I consider myself a pretty good writer, but I don't know if my artwork is just as great. I've been writing since I learned the alphabet, but drawing...I literally started last summer. But, I've have been training non-stop since then and I've improved a lot. So, a couple of days ago I decided to try a new style, and now I have gathered up all of my confidence and I'm posting it here. Don't be scared to criticise, nobody's perfect and I know that I've still got a long way to go.

@Hilda This is damn amazing, you should be proud of yourself ^^ The only thing I noticed was that the face shape was perhaps a little uneven in places, but then again, it adds to the charm of the piece of you know what I mean. Keep up the awesome work (Being honest here, for starting last summer this is brilliant) and the only way you can go is up~

@MirrorBoy

Thank you! I used Faber-Castell's PITT artist pens (Black) in the sizes S, F and B. I also used an ordinary pencil for the sketching. ^^

This is really cool! You managed to keep the patterns from being too distracting from the overall image :) Awesome work

That is seriously gorgeous.

I'm curious how you came up with the idea or even started with that?

@xaos @Netty @Esme

I'm soo glad that you like it! :D I was just trying some different styles out, but it was also kind of inspired of Millie Marotta's books and art. (Check her out, she's insanely talented!)

Oh, and btw, welcome to RpN Netty and xaos! :)

I love it to be honest. The shape is unique in its self as well as the way you used your patterns. To only have been doing this since last summer you show a great talent. Keep at it and soon you'll even began to surprise yourself in ways you never imagined.

Dang, this is hella good!

The way you've drawn the designs stand out a lot and it's so creative.

Good job!
:)
