All of your professors at Hogwarts welcome you back to the Castle for the 1976-1977 school year. We cannot wait to see all of your lovely faces wandering through the halls, as well as the first-year students joining us this year. In the enclosed letter, you will find a list of all supplies you will need for the upcoming year. We hope to see you all very soon, and we cannot wait to watch you all succeed for yet another year.
    Overview
The year is 1976 and you have just gotten your letter informing you of your school supplies for the upcoming year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The promise of a new year is extremely exciting. What drama will occur? Surely with those so-called "Marauders," there will be some. Still, no matter the possible problems, you're sure this year will be the absolute best.

Beyond The Witch's Corridor
This will be a Marauders era roleplay. You can either create your own OC, or take on the role of a Canon Character. However, I do ask that everyone takes on at least 2 characters so as to thicken the plot a little bit.

Skeeter
;; rita
Rita Skeeter made her way into the station, mentally preparing herself for the upcoming school year. She loved Hogwarts, of course. Just... at the first of the year, she always found herself stressed. It wasn't that she was nervous, she was just... well honestly she WAS nervous.

Rita had never been the kindest or friendly person, so she didn't have many friends. Hence why she was a bit nervous. Her love for drama, specifically seeking it out to write about, some of her fellow students found her intolerable. That had never really bothered her, but as she got older, she didn't like being alone all the time. Having friends would be nice, right?

Maybe. That didn't matter. Rita strutted onto the train, going to find herself an unoccupied spot, just for herself. Well, hopefully just for herself. She got herself situated and comfortable, and pulled out a quill and paper. She began writing out some of the things she'd noticed just entering the train.

Leila Malfoy made her way into the train station, side by side with her older brother. She was super excited to start the upcoming school year. She absolutely adored Hogwarts. It was her home away from home, and honestly she enjoyed herself more at the school than she did at home. There were more people she could talk to, more to take in. So, she bid her parents farewell and made her way onto the train.

Leila found an open cart for her and her brother to sit in. They had always sat together on the train, it was a tradition. Even if he wanted to go sit with his friends, and she wanted to go sit with hers, they sat together. She put her stuff down and tried to get cozy. It was definitely a bit odd to be back on the train, back on the way to Hogwarts, but she was still beyond excited.

The girl was almost bouncing up and down in her seat she was so excited, but seeing the look on her brother's face, she knew that she needed to calm down. Leila looked out the window, eager to begin the upcoming school year.

LUCIUS MALFOY
Let it be known that Lucius Malfoy was NOT looking forward to his return to Hogwarts. Like most other 17 year old boys, he didn't like going to school, even if it was a magical one. Especially since it meant he'd be forced to be around his sister even more than normal. Plus, they had this stupid tradition of sitting together on the train.

Ugh. Lucius rolled his eyes, told his parents goodbye, and made his way onto the train, following his little sister Leila into an empty cart. He dropped his stuff down and sat across from his sister, annoyed by her eagerness to go back to school. He had no idea why she loved this place so much. Sure, it was nice to get out of the manor, to be around more people their age, but, did they really have to go to all these classes? And curfew was so early...

Whatever, it didn't matter. He had to go to school, he had to go to this school in particular, and right now? He had to sit with his little sister on this damn train. Lucius let out a relieved sigh as his sister calmed down and finally got quiet. Where was the cart with snacks... gosh was he hungry. Not out of the ordinary for him. The boy loved to eat. Hopefully, someone else would come sit with them, and make this train ride less torturous.

JACKLYNN SMITH
Ah, another year at Hogwarts. It was Jacklynn's both favorite and least favorite time of year. On the positive side, she got to be back at her home away from home. The place where she truly belonged and didn't have to hide her true identity. However, on the negative side, she had to leave her childhood friends once again. They had never understood why she left for school, and she got that. But you'd think they'd finally get it after so many years...

But as per usual, Jackie would focus on the positives. That was her thing. What she'd always do, no matter what. She gave her mother and father one final hug, told her brother she'd see him later, and got onto the train, grinning from ear to ear as she went to find her friends. Hm... she didn't see them anywhere.

Sure of the probable student traffic on the train separating her from her friends, Jackie made her way towards the middle of the train. Ha, even when choosing her seat she remained neutral. She'd be sure to tell them that joke later. If they found her...

feeling.... confused
jesse smith
Jesse Smith was wayyyy too out of it to have any feeling about being at the train station on his way back to Hogwarts. The only thing he really felt right now was... dizzy. Very dizzy. The world was spinning around him and he couldn't quite make it stop. From the moment they got out of the car, to when they said their goodbyes, everything was a blur.

He noticed his mom hugging Jackie bye, then getting onto the train. Wait... that made no sense. Was his Mom going to Hogwarts?? After a quick blink and rubbing his eyes, Jackie was gone. His mom was still there. "Bloody hell, that was weird..." Jesse mumbled to himself as he finally grasped what was happening. After hugging his parents goodbye, he too made his way onto the train.

The rushed chatter of his fellow students, as well as how eager everyone was to get back to school, made Jesse's confused state even worse. All he needed was to make it into a cart... into a cart... into a cart... He kept reminding himself of his mission as the poor boy struggled through the train, trying to find an empty cart, or at least one that wouldn't overwhelm him as much as he was right now...
