Terribly Terrible
"I love you." Just three simple words, a total of eight letters, nothing grand or elaborate when simple words. Yet the power of these words when spoken, with earnest and genuine love behind them is something to fear. The dark lord of these magical lands knows that. Because of this knowledge they have brought peace to both the demons and humans with one simple move. The Dark Lord confessed their love for the legendary hero sent to stop them.
This sudden confession took the hero off guard. Pressured by the church and kingdom to accept, the hero does so. So an era of peace has finally come. Or so the foolish humans think but the Dark Lord is a crafty one. They are simply pretending to love the hero, of course they didn't fall in love at first sight on the battlefield or anything like that. Nope definitely not something that happened just a Dark Lord tricking some gullible humans. At least they think they are gullible but not the hero. They just know something is up after all this all too good to be true. Course the hero means the peace is too good to be true, not being with the Dark Lord it's not like the hero would be crazy enough to dream about being with the Dark Lord that'd be ridiculous.
So here we have a secret war brewing. The Dark Lord waiting for the perfect time to strike down the Hero. The Hero keeping a close eye on the Dark Lord to make sure they aren't planning anything. All while neither is totally head over heels in love. Nope nobody in love here cause that'd be crazy.
