BLACKJACK!
In a world, destroyed by a ravaging plague that turned people into flesh-craving monstrosities that stop at nothing to fulfill their cravings, two survivors team up to take on the world. Or at least, what's left of it.
It all started at some lab on the outskirts of Tokyo. A team of scientists were working on a solution to help the human race. The "Cure-All." What a crock of shit. It was supposed to help heal injuries faster, help cure disease, put an end to cancer and make it seem like a joke. From the first, to the eighteenth attempt, each test had little to no avail. They mainly tested on animals, mice, pigs, cows, etc. But every time it had almost the same exact outcome, the animal would get sick, and eventually die. But on the nineteenth test, something different happened. The animal came back to life a few hours after. They were astonished that it even kept its life source in any way, so instead of trying to figure out why it came back to life, they decided to keep running tests. More and more animals with the same outcomes. But after they couldn't figure out how to change anything, they decided to take samples from the animals. Which was one of the various mistakes that were made. As soon as the scientist entered the room with one of the cows they tested on, it lunged at him and took a chunk from his face before charging out of the room. Once everyone was evacuated from the building, they torched the laboratory.
It didn't help much at the hospital the scientist was rushed to, however...
While they were operating, He lunged up from a lifeless state and bit the doctor in the neck, then those two bit another two, those four bit another four, and so on. Thus, the apocalypse began...
