Name: Rosalie Hughes
Age: 21
Role: Animal Whisperer
Gender: Cis-Female, She/Her
Sexuality: Bisexual Biromantic
Brief Personality: A bit shy, prefers solitude, struggles with talking to other people and prefers to surround herself with nature.
Brief History: Growing up poor, Rosalie preferred solitude, afraid of judgement from those around her. Many of the forest animals flocked to her, and she befriended them, as well as the advisor of Parlton. As she grew older, she developed feelings for him, but was too afraid to act on them. While at first she is seen as a friend to the heroine, if not just a love rival during the Advisor's route, she comes into her own as a villainess when befriending a witch's familiar. Rosalie makes a deal with the witch to become more confident and be able to express her feelings, however this leads to her tragic fate. With the witch taking control of her slowly, Rosalie loses access to her body and is eventually killed to put her out of her misery.
Other: Prior to being Isekai'd, she was studying to be a veterinarian.

Welcome To The Fire
PRINCE LYSANDER
AGE ────── 25 yrs.
GENDER ────── M
SEXUALITY ────── Heteromantic.
ROLE ────── The Hot-Headed Second Prince of Parlton.

BRIEF PERSONALITY ────── Unlike his brother, born out of tradition and obligation, Lysander was born out of the flame of passion; he is his father’s greatest act of defiance, and he carries that legacy like an ember in his chest, fueling his fundamental temperament as that of a wildfire — unpredictable, fierce, and unrestrained. And unlike his composed, poised brother, Lysander feels every emotion in extremes, letting them consume him as readily as dry kindling, leaving no room for half-measures or restraint. When he loves, it’s with his whole heart; when he fights, it’s with the force of an inferno; and when he feels slighted, his temper erupts with the heat of a thousand suns. Paired alongside his innate ability to wield fire, it’s as if his very soul is made of embers that refuse to cool...

And how could they, when living in the shadows of his brother’s icy grace and the kingdom’s subsequent admiration? In the face of this, Lysander’s defiant nature has only intensified. He’s all heat and rebellion, a muscled heap of contradictions — boisterous, friendly to a fault and charming one moment, explosive and sharp-tongued the next. He has a knack for drawing people in, but his impulsiveness often leaves those around him singed. His temper, quick as a livewire, flares easily, especially when faced with perceived injustices. There’s a wounded pride in him, calling out to those he cares for to understand that he is more than the sum of his mistakes, that there is a wellspring of warmth that yearns to gush out. Beneath all that bravado, is a boy searching for purpose, longing to prove that he is more than his origins, more than a mistake legitimized by a king’s love. He is a force of nature, a blaze that refuses to be extinguished, still searching for what — or who — he will burn for...

BRIEF HISTORY ──────
When Lysander was born, the palace of Parlton lit up not with joy or celebration, but with scandal. His father, the King, had married out of duty — a marriage as frozen as the northern cliffs of their kingdom, bound by the brittle chains of obligation and a mutual understanding of their fundamental role. Though affection did grow over time, their union was nonetheless an icy river. Its surface, smooth and still, was broken by the waves made by the King’s heart as it waded further and further away, straying to find life and passion in another. Possessing barely a drop of Queen Angelina's noble blood in her, this woman was no creature of ice and poise like the numerous ladies of the court. This was Lysander's mother — an artist, a performer who lit up rooms with her famous serenading voice and filled halls with joy. She was fire to the King’s frost, a spark of color in his otherwise rigid, grey existence.

And so, to silence the court, the King did what few rulers had done before: he legitimized his mistress by making her his second wife. But fire is fleeting, and Lysander’s mother burned too brightly for the world she entered. She died when Lysander was five, leaving behind not just a son, but a void in the palace that swallowed whole, leaving one bare and shivering more than any Parlton winter. For Lysander, she became an ember he could never quite touch — alive only in the stories his father stoked in the hearth of the palace throne room, of her passion for theater, her fierce independence, and the way she made the King smile.

Despite the tragedy of her loss, Lysander was not unloved. The King adored him in a way that defied the court’s expectations. “Your older brother is my pride,” the King would often say, “but you are my joy.” While his older brother excelled as the crown prince, a paragon of Parlton’s icy traditions, Lysander grew up in the warmth of his father’s storytelling. They would sit together by the fire, speaking of plays and performances, of heroes who burned brightly and left their mark on the world. It was in those moments that Lysander felt closest to his mother, her spirit lingering in the love he and his father shared for the arts.

Yet, as the son of a king, Lysander’s life could not be all warmth and whimsy. His days were filled with the clang of steel and the unrelenting discipline of the sword, his tutors always reminding him of the fire within him that could, with effort, be tempered into a formidable weapon. But the weight of authority pressed down on him like an iron gauntlet, suffocating and unwelcome. He hated the monotony of drills, the endless barking of instructors telling him to “focus” and “control.” Most of all, he hated the comparisons.

His brother's name seemed etched into every corner of Lysander's life; an icy breath spreading its cold fingers into his every effort and strangling it. “Your brother mastered this maneuver by your age,” one knight would remark, shaking his head as Lysander’s fire-infused strikes faltered. “His Highness never let his emotions cloud his judgment,” another would add after Lysander lost a match due to a flash of anger. The words sliced into him, each one sharpening the ache he carried in his chest — a potent mix of longing, jealousy, and frustration.

Truthfully, there was nothing Lysander wanted more in the world than to hate that icy prick, to burn away that constant shadow his brother cast over him. But he couldn’t. Because beneath all that fiery defiance, Lysander desperately craved his brother's approval. He looked up to him as much as he resented him, and that duality tore at him like maggots to a festering wound. Every sparring match became a battlefield of more than swords; Lysander threw himself into their contests with reckless abandon, desperate to land a strike that would make his brother falter, to hear his brother say, just once, “You’ve done well.” But the Ice Prince, ever composed, would sidestep his wild strikes and disarm him with ease. Each defeat left Lysander seething, fists clenched so tightly that the heat of his fire scorched his own palms.

When words failed, Lysander turned to action. He practiced tirelessly, long into the night, driving himself to exhaustion to perfect techniques his tutors had dismissed as “unnecessary flourishes.” He took risks in their sparring, diving headfirst into his brother's icy precision in an attempt to catch him off guard. But the harder he tried, the more that damned ice prick's composure stood out compared Lysander’s fiery chaos. What stung the most wasn’t the silence after their bouts — it was the rare moments when his brother deigned to offer calm advice, his voice cool and distant, as though Lysander were just another bird shit-for-brains pupil and not his flesh and blood.

Lysander’s bitterness grew, but so did his longing. He yearned to hear or make his brother laugh, to see a flicker of pride in his brother’s eyes, to bridge the brothers-from-another mother chasm between them. At times, he tried to close the gap in other ways, sneaking into his brother's study to offer unsolicited help with strategies or court politics. “Maybe if I help him with this, he’ll see my worth,” Lysander thought, his chest alight with cautious hope. But that bastard's responses were always the same — a curt nod, a polite thank-you, and a return to his work. It wasn’t rejection, not outright, but the indifference cut deeper than any sword.

To soothe his wounds of the inane pressures of court life, Lysander would sneak away from his tutors and knights, leaving behind the endless drills and suffocating comparisons to indulge in his love of theater. Soon enough, he became part of the circus act, traveling and funding his favorite troupes, practicing and showing off fire tricks with his fellow circus performers. On the stage, he was not the Ice Prince's little ill-tempered brat of a half brother or the court’s biggest disappointment — he was the Lion of Light, a stage creature of his own making burning brightly, unbound and unashamed.

Lysander’s love for performance didn't stop there; when he wasn’t on the road, he was Parlton’s undisputed prince of revelry; the halls of Parlton’s lesser estates came alive under his influence: flames danced in midair, the scent of spilled wine mingled with smoke, and laughter rose like embers into the night. His fire tricks became legendary — he spun flaming swords, breathed rings of fire, and lit chandeliers with an effortless flick of his wrist. Guests came away with the impression that the parties were much like the man himself: dangerous, glorious, unpredictable, and unforgettable. And when Lysander crashed his brother's carefully orchestrated balls, he often became the scandal of the night. Drinking too much, laughing too loudly, and sometimes igniting small flames and picking fights for the hell of it. The nobles clutched at their pearls; his brother's icy glare could have frozen the wine in his goblet, but Lysander would only flash a rogue flame of a grin, daring the frost to extinguish him.

Of course, fire is as destructive as it is beautiful, and Lysander learned this the hard way. During one ill-fated performance with a traveling troupe, a fire trick spiraled out of control. The flames leapt from the stage to the nearby fields, spreading into the village beyond and razing half of it to ash. The devastation was swift and merciless. Though no human lives were lost thankfully, many farm animals and stores of grain for the winter perished, and livelihoods were obliterated in the blink of an eye. Lysander, horrified by what had happened, stayed behind to help rebuild. He gave them everything he could—his time, his labor, and his own funds to restore what had been lost. Yet, even as he toiled, he knew the flames that had scarred the village had also scorched his name.

The court seized upon the wildfire like vultures on a carcass. It was exactly what they had been waiting for: to concretely condemn the King's second son as reckless, volatile, a liability to the throne.

What was more, the fallout from the wildfire deepened the rift between Lysander and his brother, to a degree it hadn't been before. To the Ice Prince, Lysander was the crack in their family’s carefully polished mirror, a flaw that would, and has reflected badly on them all as it has been left unaddressed. In the eyes of the court, his younger half brother was an unruly stallion, wild and headstrong, who needed to be collared tight and broken before he trampled over Parlton’s fragile image.

And so, out of the ashes of the wildfire rose a solution, one that sent Lysander’s blood boiling hotter than ever. The court decreed he was to be married — not by choice, as he had been promised all his life as the second son, but by royal decree. The nobles, eager to leash him, arranged his betrothal to the Demon Princess, a woman whose dark magic was as mistrusted and feared as Lysander’s fire. The match was not born of strategy or alliance, but of calculated disdain. To Lysander, it was the court’s final insult: a bride chosen to humiliate him, to yoke him with someone they deemed as dangerous as he was.

The match was nothing but a chain around his neck. The Demon Princess was a burden, a walking symbol of the court’s disdain, meant to remind him of how little they thought of him. And so, he repaid their scorn with his own; when she entered the room, he made no move to greet her. When she sought him out at court gatherings, he left her to navigate the sea of whispers and sneers on her own. In his mind, she was not his partner but his punishment, a shadow he refuses to carry around.

And yet, shadows have a way of clinging to those who refuse to acknowledge them. Lysander began to notice things — small, subtle moments that gnawed at the edges of his anger. The way the nobles sneered at her when they thought she wasn’t looking. The whispers that trailed her through the halls, chilling the air with every step she took. The way her presence, like his fire, was feared for its potential to harm, rather than understood for its power to protect. But unlike Lysander, who had the applause of the common folk and the freedom of theater to sustain him, the Demon Princess had nothing. No crowd cheered for her resilience. No commoners rallied to her side. She bore the weight of her isolation with quiet dignity, her strength forged in the cold, unyielding judgment of the court. Lysander couldn’t decide if this was a testament to her power or a reflection of her loneliness. And he didn’t want to think about it too deeply. It was easier to dismiss her as a burden, easier to maintain his anger than to confront the flicker of understanding that threatened to take hold.

Still, like rising smoke, the possibility lingers in the air in the form of unanswered questions, refusing to dissipate. Could it be that they are more alike than he wants to admit? Could it be that her struggles mirror his own? Lysander shakes the thoughts away each time they creep in. For now, he clings to his scorn, unwilling to let the spark of realization grow. Whatever kindred flame might connect them, he isn't ready to face it — not yet.

Name:
Rin Hardt
Age: 25
Role: The Animal Whisperer/Barbarian
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Gay
Brief Personality: Has a strong hatred for the wealthy, and wishes to demolish the capitalistic government that is within the kingdom. He likes animals, and has befriended many wild critters within the forest. He can be pretty lazy at times, contrary to his own desires to bring down the government, but when he puts his mind to it, he can accomplish many things, which can be quite scary if one of his goals could hurt another person.

Brief History:
Born into a poor family in a run down village, Rin had to learn to fend for himself. He went to the nearby woods to do so. While in the forest, he discovered his ability to befriend animals, which he would then use to his advantage. Whenever a rich Noble passed through the woods, Rin gave the signal, and a bunch of woodland critters would ambush the Noble, stealing whatever looked expensive enough. Once Rin got the stolen goods, he went back to the village to share with the poor.

Rin met a certain someone at a young age, but because of how long its been since they spoke, Rin doesn't remember them.

Other: Originally a pizza delivery girl who worked hard at her job. She was aiming to save up enough money in order to get a new car, and used a rental to go from door to door during deliveries. Unfortunately one afternoon, she got in a accident, which killed her. Then she woke up in a man's body.

Lacia is
Deeply Compassionate
and always willing to lend a hand to the helpless and needy knowing what it feels like to be in a tough situation without any hope. Even as she is seen as someone to be avoided, this does not stop her innate empathy and dedication to preventing harm from befalling others. Her altruism knows no bounds and she likes to be among people when able.
Intelligent
and quite the scholarly genius, the Demon Princess seeks to know everything she can about topics and subjects that interest her-- particuarly her ability to summon infernal beasts and creatures. With powers as misunderstood as they are, Lacia leaves nothing to chance and can be overwhelming to converse with given her wide breadth of knowledge. She likes to call herself the 'Eternal Student'. The Demon Princess is fiercely
Loyal
, ready and willing to stand beside those she considers close. Her loyalty is borderline self-sacrificing in times of need due to how she's is viewed by the general, unknowing populace. Lacia feels she needs to prove herself twice as hard as anyone else given the origins of her powers and how she is seen as almost...evil.

Such could not be further from the truth if one would only give her the chance.

h

istory

The product of an unholy union between a kindhearted nobleman and an ambitious Demoness, Lacia Arcaela Ataraxia Rosegrave is a playable character in the game Phantoms of Love that is on a harder difficulty setting due to the intolerant nature of the commonfolk in relation to her heritage. The union of light and dark could never be natural and a rumor was born of the fear: that the offspring of unnatural birth would bring wrath and ruin to Parlton one day. Such fearmongering gossip proved effective however because Lacia grew up isolated and alone...were it not for the friendships forged with other 'Villainesses' and in particular, with 'The Hot-Headed Prince'.

As a child, Lacia's life was defined by fear and loneliness. She was an innocent, curious soul and often had questions for just about everything. Her father was a patient man and did his best to sate his daughter's hungry mind but found he could not keep up with her myriad of questions. The nobleman hired many a tutor to foster his child's curiosity and while she blossomed intellectually, it was difficult to make friends with the rumors about her spreading from household to household. At the age of six, her first demon familiar—a hulking creature of flame and shadow—manifested before her. It was a terrifying sight; its eyes burning with a primal hunger for destruction and the need to fulfill it. Lacia, frightened and confused, didn’t understand what it wanted or what was happening...she could only stare in silent disbelief. She tried to dismiss it, but the demon, bound to her by blood, would not leave and pledged itself to the girl's pure heart.

From that moment on, demons began to flock to her, shadows responded to her presence, all were drawn to her power though she was too young to properly control them. In the manor, servants whispered behind her back, calling her a monster. Children would run in fear when she passed by. Even her father—blessed with gentleness—could only offer words of comfort, unable to stop the growing tide of unease around her.

As Lacia’s powers grew with each passing year, the weight of her heritage became harder to bear. Fearing for her safety and future, her father made the painful decision to send her away to Parlton, a larger city where she might find a new life. There, he arranged for her to be married to a prince, though winning the prince’s heart was up to Lacia herself. But after years of being treated as an outcast, Lacia had little time for romance. Instead, she sought refuge in the quiet corners of libraries, immersing herself in books long into the night and offering much of her other time to charity and fostering community.

Torn between the mortal and infernal worlds, Lacia does her best to forge her own path in a way that would not bring dishonor to her family or bring destruction to the people of Parlton. Her dream is that one day, she will find the place where she can fully, truly belongs—among those who understand that the heart of a demon can still be pure.

Before being pulled into Phantoms of Love, Mina Ravencroft grew up in a privileged family that both reveled in and flaunted their wealth. She couldn't have been more different from them and she often poked fun at their selfishness and materialism with sharp, witty remarks that went completely over their heads to stave off the embarrassment of being related to such gluttonous beings. Determined to distance herself from her family’s shallow lifestyle, Mina immersed herself in community work, leading countless fundraising initiatives for charity. If her family couldn’t care less about their legacy, then she would be the one to change it.

However, tragedy struck when Mina was suddenly struck by a debilitating illness, leaving her bedridden and powerless. Frustrated and angry that her body decided to give out at the most inopportune time, she could only pray for another chance to keep going...to keep doing good in fear that all of her efforts would be squandered away into the shadows by those that shared her last name--blood relations who cared little for the responsibilities tied to it.

Isidore de Lautreamont
24 y/o | The Advisor | Male | Heterosexual

Brief Personality
If the Crown Prince of Parlton is cold, then his Advisor is dark.

An overbearing intellect has decayed what moral foundations Isidore de Lautreamont may have had in his childhood. Having taken up the responsibilities of his father at a young age, he cannot help but think in numbers, in advantages and disadvantages. He makes suggestions that others would see as cruel, and breaks down lives into mere pieces on the board. For the purpose of maintaining order, for the purpose of keeping the squabbling nobles in check, Isidore will do what he must.

Parlton must survive. Parlton must prosper. Parlton must dominate.

But he is not stupid.

Isidore knows that the burden he bears for the sake of the kingdom is not something that he can bear perpetually. Thus, on occasion, he slips out of the finery of the aristocracy and adopts the attire of a lesser noble. On such occasions, he can enjoy a sliver of false normalcy, step aside his calculations and cruelties, act upon the impulses that see him stride through a forest or feed a bird, dip his feet into the lapping waves or enjoy a meal in some far-flung tavern. Speak with people who knew not his identity, who knew not that he was the reason why taxes had been increased, that the national draft had returned.

He is a hypocrite and a liar, callously seeking only the most efficient manner in which to secure Parlton’s security. Lesser men would have trouble sleeping at night, or would slip into madness. His father was an alcoholic, his grandfather a monster.

But Isidore? He just compartmentalizes and goes on his way.

Brief History
There are many advisors. And then, there is The Advisor.

The Profound Silence. The Lord of Wolves. The Minister of Wartime Affairs.

It was not always an honor born by House Lautreamont, but it was one that they earned over generations of work, of study, of espionage. Ensuring that the royal bloodline remained uninterrupted. Ensuring that there were always eyes upon King Zulbric, that incomprehensible immortal. Ensuring that their still-greater neighbor, the Kingdom of Dokevri, remained a trade partner with little ability to influence the court. So many insurances, so many shadows. It was a profession where one failure was enough to disgrace a family for generations. Where the bearer of the titles burnt out like brilliant stars, or were forever cursed by the people. The General could earn their glories, their romances, their military accolades, but the Advisor was at once the decision-maker and the scapegoat.

And Isidore was raised to become as such.

There was no room for childhood fantasies, only for preparation. The burden of responsibility was akin to a guillotine resting upon his neck, blade sharp enough just to draw blood, but he grew accustomed to it. The anticipation, the fear, kept him sharp. The possibility of a shameful, family-scarring downfall ensured that he would never make a rash decision. He was raised into this. He excelled at this. There was no need to attend any colleges or universities, not when the best tutors of the realm had already been coming in and out of the estate since he was ten. He attended to the court when he was merely fifteen, and gained the privilege of being able to seek audience with the Crown Prince at seventeen. By the time he was twenty, he had been elevated to the role his father possessed, finally freeing the miserable man from his tenure.

No looking back after that. There were networks of spies he had to manage, demonic magics he had to investigate, criminal syndicates he needed to gain the allegiance of, and taxpayers that needed to be squeezed dry. He was a busy, busy, busy man.

...

But he always set some time aside, to slip back into the countenance and mannerisms of a 'Count Vaquelin', to visit the forests surrounding the capital city, the villages that depend on the clemency of the kingdom to persist.

To meet a villager girl with a strange gift for endearing herself to birds and beasts, and to whittle away the time until he was ready to serve the Kingdom once more.

about
name
Adelaide St. Claire
nickname
Adel
role
The Goddess
age
Twenty-three
sexuality
heterosexual
Born in the church and with a rare affinity to light magic, Adelaide had it all from a young age. Everything she had wanted was given too her with ease, any clothing item that he caught her eye or any book she had heard the other ladies speak about, but the only thing she never could truly have was the crown prince himself. When they were children they were betrothed so the church and the royal family could keep a strong relationship, despite her lack of royal blood she was the daughter of the high priest and highly influential.
.
persona
fc: ange from fallen to paradise credit to the artist team
Empathetic but selfish, Adelaide is full of contradictions. To the people who rely on her healing, she's kind and compassionate, but to everyone else, she's aloof. She has no time for anyone under her or for anyone too get in her way. While she's empathetic to a fault, she also does not care much for those who are not close too her. She would do anything for those close too her, but strangers are different. The church was full of corruption, and she was always taught too look after herself before anyone else.
While intelligent academically, she lacks an understanding of emotions, and had a hard time reading those around her. She also lacks a lot of experience, never allowed to leave the church unless it was too the palace. She aches for freedom and too see things she;s never seen before and see the world for what it truly is, and not the rose colored glasses her family tries to put onto her.
Once you are able too pull past the facade and meet her for who she truly is, you'll learn just how soft and fragile she is behind the tough facade, and how much she longs for more adventure and too see things she's never seen before.
History & Abilities
From a young age Adelaide had her path laid out for her. While her younger brother would take over the church, she was just a pawn in her parents political gain. As soon as she had barely entered her teens she was already engaged too the crown prince of the nation, thrust into the spotlight in every given opportunity so her parents could boast and call her a blessed child, flaunting her abilities and status like it was their own. With her ability too manipulate light and harness it for healing, she became a symbol for healing in the church and it's followers, and all she could remember from her childhood was the constant nosebleeds and overexertion. She ended up being more prone to sickness compared too other children, but her parents continued too push and push at her.
The only time she was able too leave was when she was visiting the royal family or for towns visits her parents controlled, and she never could even get a step out of their sights. The only person who never made her feel trapped was the Crown Prince himself. She often used him as an excuse when they were younger, just a way too get out of the church, but she did slowly start too form affection for him the more she met him. Even though she resented him when she was young for the situation they were in, as she grew older it turned into a sense of pride and happiness to be by his side.
In the original game, her villain story starts with the Crown Prince falling for the main character, and she starts to see her childhood love be tore from her. It starts out as minor bullying, as the affection rate goes up she turns the church against her with baseless rumors and blackmail. Along the line there's an assassination attempt towards the main character which leads later on to have her status revoked and too be executed.
Her abilities are all attributed to light. She can brighten a room, or blind somebody, but her powers mostly come in the form of healing. She can't heal chronic illnesses, but she can heal battle wounds and minor sicknesses, which leaves her very busy during times of war. Her biggest weakness is darkness, and is honestly a huge fear of hers. She can't stand too be in an unlit room, the darkness threatening too swallow her whole.

Ivy.png
Name: Ivy Maia Caelistis

Age (20+): 24

Role: The Animal Whisperer

Gender: Cisgender Woman

Sexuality: Heterosexual (In-Game & Reincarnator)

In-Game Quote: "So willing to die and toil for me... These animals... I wish you can become that, my dear Advisor, and stay besides me forever..."

Brief Introduction:
Villaness Ivy Maia Caelistis has always grown up shy with little to no socialization in her family when her family and the little village she lives relies far more on working hard in their farms than to chat with one another, leaving her in loneliness. The animals were her friend, her family, and everything. If she said to leap, they'd leap. If she said to jump, they'd jump. However, seeing sight of a young man one day in her childhood might just be everything she needed to shed off that loneliness.

The New Ivy reincarnating into this world knows one thing only and the only way she knows she can be loved and accepted into society: reputation, an overly caring obsession over what everyone thought of her and the inability to be her true self to anyone else. Armed with the new ability to control animals, she found that to be rather useless as the animals acted much like dolls, hypnotized under her control for her to do whatever she wanted. However, humans on the other hand... The only thing capable of hugging her and telling her how great she is and is doing... Just might lead her to be desperate to the point that the Old Ivy was.

Personality/History:
Ivy has always been a meek child since birth, tending to her own, and flocking among the animals even with the presence of her family. She felt so lonely that she may as well have been an orphan in the life she lived. She has never been one that is popular among town but neither unpopular either. Just ignorable, that is until... she met The Advisor who seemed to notice what's hidden. Being seen by him, she was scared at first but the loneliness got the better of her as she still talked to him despite her far. She had always assumed The Advisor was strange and mysterious but nonetheless a commoner just like her. That is until he disappeared for a long time.

It doesn't matter if it'd had been months or weeks or if Parlton was going up in flames. It was far too long for her loneliness and she sent her animals tracking after his scent. She had never known what nobility is like but she'd imagine that it was always filled with laviousness and constant socializing from her surface-level understanding. That's why it shocked her to know that The Advisor was a noble but... being a noble is okay... right? He... wouldn't prefer... the noble women better than her, right?...

Paranoia seized her. All the animals in her command flocked to spy on him leaving her family destitute but she did not care. She needed to know what he's doing and who he's talking to. Every animal had to be under her command as she couldn't be there to see him. She'd robbed pets, animals of all kinds, leaving tears of separation everywhere all for her selfishness. All animals have to flock to her even if it meant using her ability to damage and drain the life out of other crops and making hers flourish only so the animals would come.

This would eventually secretly earn her the reputation of as The Beast-Robber of Parlton that may catch attention as she continues her actions on.

Though alas, she was a only a girl relying on animals to do her bidding due to how vulnerable she was. She was no spymaster or skilled manipulator, her trail would be exposed one day leading others to her as one night, a human came after having tracked her down. The animals were still, unable to alert her or react in any way as they were under her abilities, leaving her open to a brutal hit behind her head. The animals fled, all trampling on her body, as her last vision being a figure cradling one of the animals and crying.

The new Ivy has always remember one thing about her past life: don't screw up your reputation. Her name is forgotten and so is her family from whatever life she had previously but she never forgot about this. Reputation is everything and surely it will make her be treated better by people. Surely, it means the family that has never once cared about her as Ivy would start caring about her again.

Going into her new body, she is aware of the implication the old Ivy has found herself in and is ready to embrace herself as "Ivy" with no ties to family left but just an idea and belief. Annoyed with this prospect of possible exposure for being an animal kidnapper, the new Ivy seeks to immediately resolve this by returning the partially stolen animals the old Ivy was in the middle of collecting without it sticking to her. However, if the string of animal kidnapping was tied to her then she'd have a difficult time managing that reputation in front of The Advisor. Old Ivy was a villain already. There was no need for her to be one but for protecting that reputation and positive view of her that she just might get rid of anyone who could spread badness about her.

Of course, when The Advisor meets her, she does have to hide and clean up the mess of the previous Ivy well but how does one outsmart and outhide The Advisor of Parlton?

Though the more she lives as Ivy, the more her previous life creeps up in her reflex and memories like holding a rubbing her wrist as if hurt when the only damage she remembers came for her head.

She does have a curious streak so if she ever met The Mermaid or realized The Mermaid is half-beast, she wouldn't mind... trying to see if her abilities work on her... That would mean that's one person she doesn't have to worry about reputation in front of if successful.

Other: (Partial Spoilers about the Reincarnator) She was a daughter of a strict family that pushed for reputation above all things to look perfect, and that idea of perfectionism and reputation has been imbued in her since birth. Crying as a kid got her nowhere but just a dear phone from mommy to shut up. Telling her father there is an emergency or her sibling is bleeding got her nothing unless it made everyone look bad.

Name: Prince Lycaon
36226-809124109.png

Age: 27
Role: Crown Prince
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Demisexual

Brief Personality: They say whenever Lycaon enters a room the temperature drops several degrees, those unfamiliar with the crown prince may wonder if that is his power over ice leaking out but those who have met Lycaon for themselves know he is far too self-controlled to allow that, the chill comes when you look into his eyes.

To almost everyone Lycaon is a cold inscrutable wall and only a tiny handful can glimpse what lies on the other side, to those select few he still remains inexpressive for the most part aside from flashes of deadpan wit.

If asked to name a flaw in Lycaon those who dare to will point to his inability to delegate any matter of significance, this tendency is born out of not fully trusting anyone aside from his Advisor and The General.

Despite knowing The Goddess for most of his life the politcal nature of their initial meeting has caused Lycaon to maintain a cautious emotional distance from her.

Brief History: Firstborn son of the Parlton royal family Lycaon was set on the path to the throne from his first day and has held to that course ever since through the birth of his brother and his childhood betrothal to The Goddess in spite of his growing reservations at the arrangement as his awareness of romance developed over time.

While he spent the first few years of his life alongside his brother the divergence in their abilities and intended futures led to them spending more and more time apart causing them to grow distant from each other while Lycaon forged a bond of trust with his Advisor and General.

overview.
Nina at a first glance is relatively quiet, curious, and holds an innate respect for all life. She values uniqueness and things that are considered strange. Once she gets to talking, she is surprisingly extroverted, though her glaringly obvious lack of social experience makes her hesitant to engage with others. She also seems rather innocent. Nina is hopeful, though, she’ll lay it on thick sometimes and purposefully portray herself as naive if she thinks it’ll be beneficial.
At the same time, Nina wishes for independence and dislikes relying on others for support. However, in the scenario she’s in now, she is forced to rely on others. She holds herself to an impossibly high standard and is prone to self-criticism and self-doubt. Her fear of not being good enough drives her to work tirelessly to achieve her definition of success, but this often comes with disregarding her well-being.
Nina struggles with a deep sense of shame and self-doubt, one that seems completely unwarranted to the objective eye. But being raised the way she was instilled in her a deep hatred for herself, though, in her current state she cannot remember the origins of this self hatred. She feels unworthy of love and struggles to accept kindness or support from others. Nina frequently romanticizes her struggle. She knows that pain and loneliness is all she’s ever known. When she hurts and pushes through the suffering, it means she’s doing something that matters. Though, she never tries to alleviate herself of any burden, she never tries to attain happiness for herself. By stewing in her suffering the way she does, Nina can convince herself that the terrible things that happen to her are her fault. That makes her feel like she has a little bit of control.
Nina’s behavior is sometimes dishonest or manipulative, it never seems to stem from a place of malice but it is manipulation nonetheless. She's extremely guarded and will resort to lying and manipulating people if it means they will stay a metaphorical arms-length away. She is also prone to avoiding the people who get too close. She’s terrified of anyone seeing her for what she is, rotten and pitiful, easy to hurt. Nina is terrified of being hurt. And if she never lets anyone in, then no one could hurt her in a way that matters (though her loneliness tears her apart from the inside).
Nina desperately wants to be with people, but she is absolutely terrified of them at the same time. There isn’t anything that could hurt you the way a person could; especially a person you hold close to your heart. Nina aims to keep her wretched little heart safe.
"what a privilege it was to matter to you"
style.
Loose, flowy dresses, usually. She doesn’t often wear tight clothing because it’s harder to move in. She’s never worn a corset or anything close to it. She likes earthy colors and warm colors, but her favorite color is pink. She doesn’t get to wear the color often because those kinds of colors are more expensive and she could only afford one pink dress. Nina accessorizes quite a bit; flower necklaces, homemade beaded jewelry, the crows sometimes stole things for her… but she always made them put those back! Promise—
Nina doesn’t have many nice shoes either. She’s often barefoot in the forest, but she wears shoes in other places.

history.
Nina’s family were merchants from far off in the south. Nina was very small when she and her family left their home to come to Parlton to make their fortune. Though, they chose the wrong time to come to the kingdom. Thanks to the rising tensions with Zulbric, the people weren’t welcoming to outsiders and they were quite cruel to Nina and her family. They went broke very quickly, no one wanted to buy their wares and her father and mother had to resort to harsh work to make enough money for them to live. Her father put on a strong face for Nina, when he had the time to be with her, he’d tell her that one day they would raise enough money to go back home. And everything would go back to normal. Nina was naive enough to believe it.

The children of their town weren’t different from the adults. Most children mimick their parents, after all. Nina was very harshly bullied by her peers her age. At first, they would isolate and ignore her. But when Nina continually tried to speak to them, the bullying became outright and malicious. They'd throw things at her and call her names, Parlton had no need for outsiders, and they made it clear. She never stopped wanting the acceptance of the townsfolk. There were phases where she would try to be helpful, but her attempts were never received well. She was always shooed away. It got to the point where Nina stopped going to school, out of fear she would be hurt again.

Nina spent her days in the forest, instead of school, after that. She found some kind of peace for the very first time. The forest was quiet and isolated from people. She didn’t have to watch her back constantly, didn’t have to hear someone call her awful names. God, it was lonely though. She spent a few days simply crying in the woods.

She felt like there was no one in the world who would want to be her friend. Then, one day she noticed something curious. A few pairs of eyes watching her cautiously from the tree line. Animals had started showing an uncharacteristic curiosity about her, trailing after her when she would wander the woods. Nina had never had anyone be curious about her. She was always met with hostility. She reached a small shaky hand out towards the creature and it came to her. A tall doe with two fauns trailing behind her.

That was the beginning of her affinity with nature. She was absolutely ecstatic with this discovery, she didn’t have to be lonely anymore. The bears would let her ride on their back, the wolves would nuzzle her hand when she pet them, the deer would gather around her when she napped in the grass. She felt loved— special.

She met someone else too. Not an animal, but a boy. Quiet— but not mean. He would sit near the tree line and read. She couldn’t tell if he was there to hurt her, too. Sometimes she would have to climb trees to hide from her bullies when they’d try to find her in here. She wanted a human friend really badly, one she could talk to. The risk was scary, though. But she found out that he was clever— he’d spotted her easily and let her think she was being sneaky.

Nina, in her childlike wonder, was quite awestruck by the revelation. She thought that he had to be really smart to spot her, and he knew she was there and didn’t do anything to hurt her. So he must be nice! Nina was eager to make a friend she could talk to, and they did become friends— more or less, she thought they were friends. She’d bring him little gifts from the woods to bribe him into being her buddy, like a lucky clover or a flower bracelet.

Nina inevitably grew up, by the time she was a young woman, she had been seeing less and less of her friend. A visit from him became a rare spotting. She found comfort in being told that sometimes growing apart is part of growing up, that she wasn’t abandoned.

[ The Villainess’s Downfall - Her death in the Advisors route ]
When the heroine enters the ordeal, Nina watches from afar. She starts seeing him spending more time with her, and envy seeds itself deep in her heart. Suddenly she realized that she had feelings for the advisor beyond friendship. A bitter feeling of abandonment rose in her gut. Yet, she didn’t say a single thing. To make herself feel better, she sent animals to inconvenience her day. Harmless pranks, like the heroine finding bird excretions on anything she left out in the open from time to time, small things belonging to the heroine going missing, or having a bird chase her around for a minute. It was never meant to be genuinely harmful, it was petty but not malicious. She was kind of hoping she would scare the girl off from being near her side of town so she wouldn't have to see him with her.

Then things went too far. She sent one of her closest animal companions to give the heroine a little spook one night. A large wolf who she was fond of, named Floren. Floren was incredibly obedient to Nina, she had helped raise him puppyhood and saw her as a mother. He wouldn’t disobey her command to not actually hurt the heroine. Nina didn’t foresee it going so wrong.

At first, the plan went perfectly. The heroine was thoroughly spooked when the wolf jumped out near her, but shrill yelp had gotten the attention of the villagers. That freaked Nina out and she rushed to call Floren back, but before he could run an arrow lodged itself right into his neck. Nina had watched the whole thing happen, unable to do anything. In her grief, she ran towards her fallen companion and cradled his head in her lap frantically. He yelped and struggled for a few moments before he went limp.

Something in Nina snapped, and she was filled with an anger she had never felt before. Her grief and rage called to everything in the forest around them — and it answered. Troves of animals began to emerge from the woods, snarling and growling filled the air around her.

Rationale returned to Nina’s psyche; ‘Look around you, Nina. What were the villagers supposed to think? What were they to do? They didn’t know. They can’t be blamed.’ It was a bitter pill to swallow, but she had to. Before anymore of her beloved friends were hurt. Yet, when she tried to call the beasts off, nothing happened. The animals weren’t listening to her commands to stop and run away no matter how much she screamed for them to stop. A slaughter ensued.

Not of the townsfolk, no people died— there were plenty of injuries, but the heroic male leads had been there to save the day and protect the heroine. The animals were slaughtered, and it was all her fault. Seeing the carcasses of the creatures she had come to care for, most of which she had seen grow up since they were little— it put her in an indescribable state of shock and grief. It left her shaken and in an unstable state of mind. She couldn’t wrap her head around what happened.

Unfortunately, the villagers were more than happy to “fill in the gaps” for the Male leads. Nina’s reputation had already been in tatters. Her village had already been speculating about her being some kind of Witch of the Woods. Strange girl from a faraway place— always talking to herself. This incident was exactly what they needed to cement their prejudices.

In their eyes, Nina was a jealous witch who had gathered the entirety of the forest to kill the poor heroine. It didn’t matter that they had heard her pleading for the animals to stop, they had already decided on what they believed. Nothing she said would change that.

For what it was worth, she tried to plead her innocence. She didn’t make a very good argument, her mind was too scrambled, her body was too worn by the overuse of her abilities. She could barely think straight. Her argument was not compelling. She only stilled when her dearest friend told her to. His voice was cold as ice when he told her to stop wasting her last breaths. That was when Nina truly gave up. She would be executed on the spot. Nina wouldn’t fight against him. If he didn’t want her, no one else in the world would. There would be no point in going on anyways.

Tl:dr - A young Nina moves to a small town in Parlton. She and her family aren’t welcomed by the townsfolk due to a distrust of outsiders and Nina is harshly bullied because of it. Pushed out of the schools, Nina seeks solace in the nearby woods instead. She discovers an affinity for nature and befriends many of the forest’s creatures. She also meets and befriends the advisor.

As a young woman, she notices the Advisor is visiting her less to spend time with the heroine and she becomes jealous. She harasses the Heroine with her animals in subtle ways until one of her pranks goes horribly wrong. She tried to give the Heroine a scare with one of her wolves and he gets killed, the animals of the forest attack the townsfolk in response to her grief (even though she is pleading for them to stop and run away). All of her animals are slaughtered by the male lead, and she is executed for it.

nina’s powers
Nina commands respect from nature and it listens. She is deeply attuned with the earth and animals. She easily befriends most animals and can instinctively understand their body language and what they try to non-verbally tell her. Animals have an innate understanding of her words. Most creatures are beckoned to follow her commands, but when she is in a state of high emotions her powers are much harder to control. She simply cannot control them at this point.
pre-isekai
Nina was born to rich parents in the capital of Brazil. Her father was a busy man, he loved Nina, but he was rarely around. Her mother, Renè was her everything— and Renè hated her. There probably were a slew of reasons as to why her mother resented her so much; an unfortunate mixture of postpartum, resentment towards her husband, and her lack of desire to be a mother in the first place. Nina adored her mother like she was the sun, unattainable and beautiful. She would follow her around and tried to do whatever it took to earn her love. Her attempts were met with harsh words and beration. Nina wasn’t capable of fathoming the idea that her mother could be wrong— so she had to be the wrong one. She was the one who wasn't good enough. She was a burden. It only got worse as Nina got older, the beration went from only happening when Nina bothered her mother to happening “unprovoked”. Nina could barely breathe correctly. It didn’t matter how well she did in school— how many skills she learned— how hard she worked. It was never enough. She was never enough. Soon enough, that became a casual fact of life. Nina started to lean into escapism to run away from her own inadequacies. Movies, books… video games. One of such was “Phantoms of Love”. It was her favorite game in her early teens. She loved all the characters and the love interests and found it cool that one of the characters had the same name as her. She did the advisor’s route last because she was hesitant to go up against her. She loved the route, but she found the ending sad and wished that the heroine and the villainess could have been friends. She probably wrote fanfics where she got a happy ending, but after a few months of rudimentary chapters and lackluster pieces of fanart, she moved on to her next interest. Nina graduated Highschool with plenty of academic achievements and a scholarship, but no real friends or social experience. She had worked herself so hard throughout the years that she simply did not know how to foster genuine friendships— much less maintain them. The only friends she had were those who would ask her to buy things for them using her parents' money. Nina knew that she was being used, but she disregarded it because that was better than being alone. Her way of making friends didn’t change in college. Nina went to college for eight years— she was on the precipice of graduation until she opened her eyes one day and found that she was not in her bed. Not in her world. Her memories elude her, but her vices don’t. Her every demeaning thought, her every insecurity followed her here. Even if she doesn’t know where it originates.
misc facts
❥ The original villainess Nina couldn’t read very well due to her being chased out of school so young. (Though a cute headcanon could be that The Advisor noticed and helped her learn to read better). ❥ Isekai Nina feels incredibly odd about having a loving mother in this fictional world, she cries very easily around her. She desperately wants to try and give her parents a better life in this world. ❥ Isekai Nina did in fact write Animal Whisperer x Advisor fanfiction. No. It wasn’t good. ❥ Isekai Nina was studying botany in college for medicinal purposes. ❥ She doesn’t look it, but Nina’s body is quite strong from years of traversing the the woods and climbing trees. Probably play wrestled with animals occasionally or carried them often if they ever got hurt. ❥ The old Villainess Nina was not very good at lying or being sly. Her social skills weren’t all that good either, and she was very naive. Isekai Nina is a much better liar.

The Crown Prince’s advisor is a treacherous devil with the countenance of an angel. Coquettish and having a way with working his wiles, both men and women alike are easily seduced by that silken tongue until he has devoured the entirety of their worth. That pious, almost saintly mask of his is cleverly disguised, so convincingly genuine that many can’t help but turn a blind eye to his true nature. However, creation reveals the creator, and aristocrats are no fools. Only a ruthless puppetmaster devoid of empathy can set the stage in the manner that The Advisor does. He’s simply fortunate that his audience is polite enough to willingly turn their gazes away from the ugliness underneath the gilded stage. Regardless of whether or not they truly believe his facade, he’s adored by many, and even his enemies will find it difficult to depose him so long as his loyalty to the crown remains firm. Unbeknownst to the aristocrats who haughtily pride themselves on having solved the puzzle that is the Crown Prince’s advisor, there exists a firm line he draws between his public and private lives. Alder Rhydderch Llewyn is a lone tree that stands tall within a meadow but desires to be a plain wildflower forgotten by the wayside. Though his namesake is symbolic of strength and protection, he maintains that his character is most closely tied to an alder tree’s susceptibility to heart rot. The outer bark remains strong and firm, hiding away the infested core that has been eaten away until it has become weak and fragile. He’s constantly on edge, desperately doing his utmost to keep prying eyes from discovering that the alleged puppetmaster is merely another marionette lying limp within the strings binding its movements. Living a life constantly watched by the knife-like gazes of the nobles ravenous for a chance to catch him slipping up continues to wear him down closer and closer to his breaking point. Many in his position seek glory and exaltation, but he distinctly recalls he was happiest when he was nothing more than a glass ornament. He’s a simple man with equally simple desires. There was once a time where he still possessed the childish innocence and wonder to seek the answers to the smaller matters such as why ants sometimes stop their sure and steady march homeward to form a carousel of death. However, those days of curling by the lake with a book far beyond his level of comprehension have been long lost within the throes of time.

Vilina

Personality:
Vilina was no summer child. In a different world, under gentler hands and softer days, she might have grown up sweet, her heart unmarred by bitterness. But with hunger masticating at her every breath and parents more concerned with preserving appearances than providing meals, she became a woman steeped in venom. Nobility held no sway over her; their lives were trinkets, as fragile and meaningless to her as the lace dresses that weighed down her mother’s wardrobe. Her tongue, sharp as a serpent’s fang, cut through pleasantries with ease, and her resolve held the unyielding strength of a beast. She wasn’t easy company, nor did she care to be. Animals were kinder to her than any human ever was. They watched over her without judgment, sheltered her from the cold, and shared what little they had in ways people never did. Even the Advisor, the one human who’d extended an olive branch, found himself met with her wary gaze, her body tense. Standoffish and obstinate, she kept her distance, alert to every word, every movement. Trust, she’d learned, was a luxury reserved for creatures without hidden motives.
Untitled-design.png
History (In-Game):
Monday night, it was stale bread for dinner. The moon hung bright in the sky, casting cold light through the thin walls. Tuesday night, it was stale bread again. A fierce gust of wind had broken the door, and the chill kept her awake until morning. Wednesday, it was stale bread once more. The days were beginning to blur together - or maybe it was just her vision, softened at the edges from the hunger that gnawed steadily away.
Vilina and starvation were no strangers. Born to a pair of nobles whose downfall was as predictable as it was inevitable, her hunger was the constant rhythm of her days. They were relics of faded glory, parents who clung to titles that couldn’t buy a crumb of bread. They sold everything: the estate, the title, the land that had carried their name for centuries. Yet still, there was nothing on the table but stale bread, while her mother’s closet swelled with new gowns - gossamer silk and lace fit for galas they’d never attend. Beside her, her younger brother bore the same hollow gaze, the same empty plate. Vilina would glare at those dresses, hating them with the intensity only hunger could sharpen, the kind that saw each yard of fabric as weeks of food that would never come. She didn’t need anyone to tell her her parents’ priorities. They draped their vanity in fine silks, while she learned to scavenge.
In the woods, she’d gather what little the earth spared - berries, sometimes a fallen apple, or nuts if fortune was kind. But such meager findings did little to fill the stomachs of two growing children. On one particular autumn night, she’d found a hollow among the trees, shelter enough from the biting wind, and fell asleep to the chorus of the forest's rustling leaves and whispering branches. She awoke with a startle, feeling the weight of something warm against her back. Her heart stammered as she turned, ready to flee - but instead, she found herself face-to-face with a young bear. The cub, no bigger than herself, lay curled against her for warmth. They stared at each other for a long moment, her breath frozen in her throat. But the bear’s eyes held no threat, only a calm curiosity. It had chosen her for comfort, just as she clung to its warmth in the chilly dark.
It was in those quiet nights among creatures that she discovered her affinity with animals, a bond that would nurture her in ways her parents never could. They became her family, a pack that accepted her without question. The wolves would lead her to shelter, curling around her and her brother in their dens, their warmth a shield against the cold. They brought rabbits and other small game, their silent offerings more generous than any gift she'd known. The hawks soared high above, vigilant guardians whose sharp eyes scanned the forest floor, warding off dangers from unseen heights.
In her forest wanderings, she had once crossed paths with the Advisor, a young noble who, despite their stark difference in status, shared her quiet admiration for nature. Together, they explored the woods, two curious children fascinated by the world around them and each other. Those were peaceful days, fleeting but filled with an innocent joy - until her parents discovered her abilities. Their hearts were colder than she’d known. They demanded she bring them foxes for their fur, lambs for their meat, bears for their heads - commodities to peddle for prestige. But she refused. These creatures were her family, bound to her in ways her blood relatives could never understand. Furious at her defiance, they gave her a cruel ultimatum. If she would not betray her animal kin, they would harm her brother. The choice was clear.
Under her parents’ threats, Vilina became the silent hand orchestrating “wild” animal attacks against those foolish enough to tarnish the Treymayne name. Her parents cared for nothing beyond their own reputation, and what better mask for vengeance than the brutal handiwork of nature? A bear’s savage mauling, the calculated bite of a wolf - it was all easily dismissed as the work of untamed creatures. Investigators chalked it up to tragedy, another caution of the wild. But they were wrong. Family after family, noble after noble; all fell under her unwilling compliance, each attack fueling the whispers. Soon, the rumors spread like wildfire: utter the Treymayne name, and fate would answer in blood. In her small hometown, however, they knew more. They had seen the quiet girl with the mountain lion by her side, moving through the forest’s edge, her gaze too calm. She had become a specter in their eyes. The “Beast Witch."
As the years passed, Vilina found her heart hardening, each noble's death weighing less than the last. She no longer hesitated. The faces of those she took down faded from her mind as easily as smoke on the wind. Who were they to her, anyway? None had ever offered her so much as a crust of bread when she’d foraged alone in the woods, her ribs pressing sharp against her skin. With each new death, her morals weakened.
Her parents' demands only grew darker with time, their ambitions emboldened, crossing lines Vilina could never have imagined. When their sights set upon a noble family - one dear to the Heroine - it was a line that sealed Vilina's fate. The Heroine, pure of heart and swift to protect those she loved, had heard rumors of Vilina's powers, whispered warnings about the “Beast Witch.” Suspicion fell into their rightful places, for it was no coincidence that Vilina’s mother had attended the same banquet as the Heroine's friend’s family just a day before tragedy struck. The truth trickled back to the Crown Prince, who ordered Vilina’s execution without trial. A death sentence had been dealt.
Desperate and alone, Vilina knew she could not leave her brother in the hands of her cruel parents. In one last act of hope, she turned to the only person she trusted, the one human she had come to love. But when she found him, his eyes turned away, revolted by the blood on her hands and the taint of her family's cruelty. He had given his heart to the Heroine in this ending, and to him, she was a monster beyond redemption. And so, Vilina met her end at the gallows. As her breath slipped away, the forest seemed to weep in mourning - leaves rustling in a sorrowful dirge, the animals she once called family howling into the dark. The wild had lost its own.
TLDR: She controls animals and her parents encouraged her to hunt down noble's who crossed their paths. Eventually she is sentenced to death when her attacks fall onto a friend of the Heroine's.

History (Before-Game):
In her former life, Vilina - once Chelsea - had been a typical office worker, lost in the hum of city life, her days painted in the neon glow of a bustling metropolis. She lived in a cramped studio where the entire space unfolded from a single vantage point, cluttered with remnants of her favorite takeout packs and instant meals. Her world revolved around the bright screen of her phone, pulling for rare characters in the gacha games she was obsessed with, filling her 2D teams with the warriors and champions she’d never be. Fate had its ironic hand in her end; her last moment wasn’t a grand battle or heroic feat, but the blaring headlights of an oncoming truck, leaving her as just another forgotten soul in the unending rush of the city.

The Calliope of before was known to be aloof, judgmental, and cynical of others. Her insecurity of her place in the world was well known throughout her social circles, bordering on cruelty as she took it out on others around her. Using her father’s money and influence in the merchant industry, she would manipulate girls into humiliating themselves in society, and forcing low class workers into early retirement. However, recently, it’s been said many are warming up to her. A few maids have reported her being kinder, gentler, even smarter than her past self. No one is quite sure what brought about this change; but one thing is for sure. Calliope is not allowing her rocky past to define who she will become.

likes

While Calliope has always loved the ocean, she has a few easier likes as well. Peaches being one. Strong teas are another. Cooking and baking, though the maids struggle with letting their mistress in the kitchen. Finally, dancing. As a child she hated it, but Calliope seems to enjoy it now that she is an adult.

dislikes

Sunburns are a nuisance. Coffee seems to keep her awake deep into the night. Most importantly, Calli can’t stand hypocrisy.

fears

Being forced to work for the kingdom as a battle mage for the rest of her life…

history

Sir Issac Salacia had never dreamed of a noble title. He understood he needed to make his lifes work through something lucrative, yet unrestricted by titles. He quickly became part of a large merchants guild, rising through the ranks as a master sailor and trader. One year, taking shipments through sea, a grave attack by pirates quickly brought the crew to their knees. Most of the ship perished, as Issac would have. However, something about him caught the eyes of a curious mermaid, new to the surface and new to human suffering. She saved his life, and the two fell in love. The mermaid revealed that she could shed her tail to go on land, and so they were married and had a daughter. A half mermaid, half human. Calliope.

When Calliope was two, her father left on another expedition. So was too young to understand what was going on, but her mother fell very ill, very quickly. she was removed from her mothers care due to risk of infection, and by the time word had reacher her father, her mother had passed. Her father retired as a sailor and merchant head, instead working on the innermost factions and eventually becoming the head of the accounting division. He gained wealth and status, raising his daughter peacefully for many years. Unfortunately, he grew frail and sad at the death of his wife, and became so hands off with Calliope that she was left in the hands of a strict governess, who often forced her to repress her mermaid side. she would practice her water magic, but other than that stayed away from talk of mermaids or the supernatural. Calliope became both a slave to her environment and a cruel person, taking the anger and resentment her governess had put in her, and throwing it at others.

Recently, she’s become kinder. Gentler. Her governess is still in staff as a head maid, but quite confused and the sudden flip.

Powers

With the ever growing ability to manipulate water, Calliope has consistently been sought out as a healer. Though she doesn’t accept all requests, recently she’s taken pity on those who have no means of paying her. She seems to prefer the label of ‘healer’ to the other label she’s been given…

To put it lightly, her ability to change the flow of water, shift the tides of the sea, and more have become a thing of horror to many around her, using it as a scare tactic to terrify young men and women of the court. The empire took notice, and to this day some are trying to recruit her to work for the naval forces and become her what her second nick name suggest. A Terror of the Sea.

Pre-Isekai

Emily McClain definitely never asked for this. Sure, she led a boring, quiet life. But hey, it was nice! She could read her novels in the evening on the porch in her city condo, cook herself meals instead of grabbing them from the crappy office cafeteria. She went back to University after dropping out, studying marine biology with a minor in history for fun. Working full time as an accountants secretary while doing University seemed to fit the bill. At least until that fateful day in June. Some people get hit by a bus. Others get killed by people they know. She fell down the stairs. It’s embarrassing really.

psyche

Afforded all the luxuries of being a prince, Niall is a little spoiled. He hates being told no, and will oftentimes straight up ignore someone who says that to him. However, he has a kind heart, and loves all his subjects dearly. With war on the rise, he is intent on keeping his kingdom safe. Always a bit of a spit fire, Niall has a habit for calling out nobles, especially those harassing ladies at parties and balls. He has many friends, and will often make business deals at a gambling table with charisma and charm. Finally, he wears his heart on his sleeve. You will always know when he is sad, angry, frustrated, happy. All the feelings.

likes

Outside activities like horseback, picnics, and sparring with The General. He enjoys the witty banters the Demon Princess affords him. Helping his subjects is one of his favorites.

dislikes

Cruelty disgusts Niall. He may be a hot head, and always ready for a scuffle, but he’s not a bad person. In addition, being told no. His brother, sometimes…

fears

Being unable to marry someone he loves.

03.

history

Constantly compare to his brother, Niall grew up constantly seeking his fathers approval. With more attention being given to the crown prince as they grew up, Prince Niall began acting out. Throwing tantrums, evading maids, sneaking out to train and read more so he could catch up to his brother. He did anything and everything. Around age twelve, after a particularly harsh argument with his father, Niall’s mother pulled him aside. “My dear,” she said to him. “You will never ‘outperform your brother. With him being the crown prince, you simply can’t.” Niall cried as his mother consoled him, explaining to him all the other ways he could find acceptance and joy in life. He attended more events, made friends with the nobility and generals. He learned the art of war. While his crackling personality kept him in trouble with his parents more often than not, his mother would convince his father to let it slide, since he was making friends and technically not doing anything illegal.

When he was a teenager, learning how to control his fire, he met the Demon Princess. His betrothed. At first, he loathed her. She was a symbol of the last piece of autonomy he had being stripped away. He scorned her, and practiced his fire instead. He was civil in public, and kept up the guise that they were friends. But as he got older, it became harder and harder to hide his frustration at others; especially his father. He is now regarded as the ‘hot head’ of the royal family. Calling cruel nobles out on their crap, trying to organize the cities militia into rooting out corrupt syndicates, and just in general having a spitfire personality.

He has built up his future name as Grand Duke, since that is what most second princes become once their brother ascends the throne. He has invested in farm lands, medicine companies, merchant alliances, and more to make a consistent passive income. Currently he is investing in the manufacturing of war tools.

Now he’s met the heroine. He fell for her at first site. The beauty of her smile, her grace. But something isn’t quite right. Why, after all this time, is the Demon Princess turning his head…?

about
name
Viviana Silivasi
age
Twenty-six
role
The Demon Princess
gender
Female
sexuality
Heterosexual
A misunderstood woman who, using her innate ability to summon demons, calls upon them not for grand or nefarious purposes, but for companionship, love advice, and to assist with everyday tasks—chores and errands far beneath their formidable powers. While her intentions are harmless, her actions are often misjudged by others who see her bond with demons as strange, even reckless.
personality
The epitome of a book judged by its cover. Her initial brash appearance and demeanor intimidate other nobles, leading them to misjudge her. However, beneath the surface, she is unconcerned with refined etiquette and more comfortable in her own rugged skin. Despite her unconventional nature, she is fiercely loyal and devoted to those who look beyond the exterior and accept her for who she truly is.
She has a habit for cracking jokes at the most inopportune moments and teasing others playfully to lighten the mood. However, more often than not, her efforts fall flat, leaving her humor to go unnoticed or have adverse effects.
Beneath her tomboyish exterior, she has a surprisingly soft side that tends to surface through clichéd gestures and overly sweet compliments. A secret romantic at heart, she’s a sucker for love stories and has an ever-growing collection of cheesy romance novels hidden away.
history
Viviana was the illegitimate daughter of Duke Silivasi, born to a woman who was cast aside by the jealous Duchess upon the discovery of her husband’s infidelity. While the Duchess pushed for the child’s dismissal, the Duke insisted on keeping Viviana, hoping she would inherit her mother's rare ability to summon demons.
In her early years, however, Viviana showed no sign of such a gift, causing her father to lose interest in her and withdraw his affection. Ostracized by the rest of the family, she was often confined to her room or left out of family events. As a child, she couldn't fully comprehend her isolation, and in her desperation for attention, she resorted to acting out—throwing tantrums, disregarding etiquette, and playing pranks on the servants in hopes of catching her father's eye.
But her efforts were in vain. As she entered adolescence, the loneliness grew more acute. Her half-siblings barely acknowledged her existence, and when they did, it was usually to mock her, fueling her reckless behavior. The Duke’s disapproval only deepened, further pushing Viviana into the shadows of the family, where she began to feel more like an invisible afterthought than a daughter.
Lonely and craving companionship, Viviana turned to fiction, immersing herself in novels that allowed her to escape her isolation. In her solitude, she began to conjure imaginary friends, little more than figments of her imagination meant to ease her loneliness. To her astonishment, these imagined companions soon began to take on physical form—strange and unsettling shapes, creatures made of flame and shadows. While their appearance might have terrified anyone else, Viviana found herself intrigued by their existence. These beings, which seemed to manifest at her will, brought her a sense of comfort and kinship, and she slowly learned to summon them intentionally, growing more skilled at calling forth her familiars.
Excited by the possibility of finally gaining her father’s attention, Viviana eagerly demonstrated her newfound power, summoning a variety of demons. To her delight, the Duke’s interest was rekindled, though his attention was more calculating than affectionate—he saw potential in her talent. The Duke, always one for ambition, quickly sought to capitalize on Viviana’s abilities. In a bid to strengthen his political alliances, he arranged for her to marry the Hot-Headed Prince. The purpose behind this match remains unclear, but one thing is certain: Viviana is caught in the web of her father’s schemes.
In the original game, Viviana is little more than a pawn in her father’s ambitious plot to seize the throne. Manipulated by promises of paternal love and affection, she is coerced into using her familiars for his gain, carrying out tasks like espionage and even assassination attempts. When the main character begins investigating the mysterious sightings of demons, Viviana is quickly uncovered as the source. In a cruel twist, her father denies any involvement with her, abandoning her to take the fall.
In her previous life, Viviana—known then as Alexandra—was an ordinary person, unremarkable in every way. Her parents had her later in life, so by the time she reached adulthood, they were long retired, content to enjoy their golden years. Alexandra grew up with an uneventful childhood, achieving average grades, making average friends, and leading a life that was, well, just average. She went on to attend a run-of-the-mill college and worked a part-time job at a local bakery. Craving something more, she decided to study abroad, hoping it would bring excitement and purpose to her mundane existence. But her journey was tragically cut short when her flight suffered an engine failure due to negligence, ending her life before it ever truly began.

If she was the Sea then he was the Sun that rose on top of it.
Name: Marinus Theron Delmar
laughter.loving_aphrodite_tanned_male_blonde_anime_sea_captain__0ca86556-ced6-4e52-96ce-268a6d...png
Age: 24

Gender: Cisgender Male

Romantic Orientation: Demi-Romantic

Sexuality: Demisexual

Role: The General of Parlton

Title: The General, The Navy Captain of the Parltonian Sea

Brief Introduction:

One of the more villain-like love interest in the game, he played a game with The Mermaid seeing who would be the one to have the heroine on their side. He's smart, strong, dangerous, and he knows it but all that brawn would never give him power over the politics that commanded him. After all, good soldiers follow orders, and he's got a time to keep and a place to be by 6:25 day and night, no matter what.

Personality:

Marinus has always had a playful personality growing up especially finding joy in being able to ambush and trap his prey while giving them a fighting chance to struggle out. He's smart, pretty, strong and if that works on you, he will use it against you. He dons a red bandana that functions both has a hairtie to move his bangs out of the way or as a quick way to snooze as an eyepatch or to ignore you under the guise of pretending to be asleep.

He's not afraid to get what he wants and could care less if it annoys you. The only thing that can really hold him back or make him play nice is the Prince himself or The Advisor that stays by His Majesty's side as they hold sway over politics. He also has leather clothings and ornament that he made by himself as he enjoys being handsy with his work. He learned how to make them from a swordsmaster that acted as a mentor teaching him how to hunt and how to fight.

Before rising to the rank of General, the young General was a hunter, he had hunt in the forest and out in the deserts, but his favorite place to hunt had always been the sea where animals weren't the only danger in there. There was always the thrill in the hunt, playing catch with each other. 6:25 A.M. The best time to hunt was always early morning where animals attempt to outwake the predators, giving him enough time to take them all down one by one.

"Marinus!" mother called. He sighed as he looked at his pocket watch, 6:25 P.M. The sun was setting and mother was worried. It was time to go home and he mother would beckon him, and he'd always follow. He carried a pocket watch as all good things and fun come to an end by 6:25 P.M. whether it was mother calling him home because it was time for dinner or duty calls as one of the best in his army as he grew up 6:25 A.M. He was simply the best not because he can kill but because he can follow orders clearly since good soldiers follow orders.

Eventually, hunting lead him to the greatest sport of all time: humans. What greater danger could any other being on earth possess besides a human? Throwing himself into the battle, he'd slaughter anything in his way eagerly as long as The Prince himself gave commands for it. His ability to command a fleet at sea and fend off any oceanic threats earned him the place as The Right Hand of the Prince which generated a lot of jealousy. This garnered a lot of hidden sabotages and attempts on him but he did not mind, taking it as a game to see how much can he dodge.

Though his little gimmick would earn him several scowls from the nobles and threaten his position as he did not take the threats towards him seriously and played around with it instead. Why would he? He was simply the best of the best so he could not understand why he should end it, but he does understand that he would lose his place if he didn't comply. After all, good soldiers follow orders. Strength and brawn were always his forte but not politics nor the fickle bureaucracies of the nobles. He had no power over that.

To keep his position, his fun with the jealousy and sabotages would have to come to an end as he fired, threatened, and removed those against him.

He became bored, almost sad that it ended. He flipped open his watch to look at the time as he had finished cleaning up those sabotaging him yesterday, 6:25 A.M. Just in time for relaxation and start his day stress free as he went near the sea that he'd always fondly hunt from. There he met The Mermaid. Seeing her approach the heroine in a way that seemed strange to him, he sighed and went to protect the heroine but time after time, she went after the heroine for reasons unknown to him whether it'd be to protect the heroine, to make friends, or to take her before he does. It doesn't matter what it was. It was their little game. Whispers grew regarding how The Mermaid was a threat in the small village she and the heroine found themselves in, but that's all the more fun. She'll lure the heroine and everyone would throw a fuzz while he'll be their hero and take the heroine away but always leaving the heroine close enough to be in The Mermaid's grasp.

Politics would eventually catch up to him as the nobles and villagers demanded The Mermaid to be slaughter, and good soldiers always, ALWAYS follow orders.

Once the Mermaid had died, there was only one thing he could do... stay with the grand prize he had won from her— a reminder of the fun they had and the only thing left of her. He looked into his pocketwatch one last time.

Had she known how much he'd enjoy their time, he would have followed her into the sea.

6:25 P.M.

and just like that, his hand loosened—

"See you next time, sea maiden."

He stared off into the sunset as the watch sank into the sea.

Father
His father is a merchant who lives in the wood to live with his mother but originally lived in the city. He often travels to the city to do business there to support the family and was the one who encouraged his son to joint he army when he saw there was a recruitment going on. He shares the same golden hair Marinus hair has but his has long since faded into the silverness of the moon that his beloved wife likes to hunt under.

Mother
The few huntresses who live in the woods and made a meanger living until meeting a merchant who came to spread his business all over the land to serve all kinds of customers. A hunting accident years ago left his mother unable to conceive children so his parents have adopted a young girl named Sheila. His mother shares the same cerulean eyes as Marinus has but aging and cataracts has made her eye color lighter and left her unable to hunt which contributed to Marinus's motive for joining the army and the navy.

Younger Sister
Sheila is the adoptive teenage sister to Marinus who was adopted as a child primarily for their mother's desire to have another child but to also serve as a caretaker for their nearly blind mother until Marinus has gained enough in his position to hire other maid servants and butlers. Thus, putting an end to the hunter and woodsman lifestyle his family provided him with as they reside in a manor now. Hence, Sheila lacks any knowledge of hunting, sailing, herbology, or animals her adoptive family has as she grows up.

Sheila has always wanted to be like Marinus sailing the sea and hunting despite a lack of talent for it as she always said, "I wanna sail the sea like you do and hunt all the animals in the land! I wanna be a sailor like you!"

"No, no, no~" he'd always playfully tease and lift her up in his arms, "The sea is dangerous and you can drown while you don't even know what mushrooms you can eat in the forest!"

Sheila whined but his cerulean eyes softened on her, staring intently, "The soils of earth has been roamed by many, the sea has been sailed by me, but there is the sky that is free from all animals and evil of any kind. The sky is yours, my little star sailor."

Sheila is also known to have a crush on few of the people associated with the royal family particularly the Second Prince and the Advisor. She's too afraid to have a crush on the Crown Prince as her low self-esteem believes she's not good enough for the Crown Prince so she goes for the "safer" options like the Second Prince and the Advisor.

Though for her crush on them, he enjoys fabricating wild tales about them such as the Hot-Headed Prince once "accidentally burned all of his clothes off in a dance ball once" or that The Advisor is "the World's Hide-and-Seek Champion" for how he haunts her in the shadows but she's too much of a "dumbass" to notice. He's aware of her low self-esteem that comes from being adopted and lacking the overall hunting and survival skill most of their family shows which is why he's talking "down" about the male leads or the skills that got him into being a general to make her feeling better about herself.

She knows it's all wild tales but doesn't care nontheless as it makes her life and allows her to share joy with her brother. She knows he's doing his best to make her feel better so she does't hold it against him to trash on the male leads but desists him from ever talking crap about himself or their family's overall skills. She doesn't need insults or other people to be put down to be uplifted and wishes he knew that.

Powers:

With an affinity for the air, Marinus finds his ability most useful at the sea when using it to propel his ships or to blow winds in people's eyes if he doesn't like them. This ability is also useful in battles because kicking up dust in the enemies' eyes is the easiest way to make them stand still to get stabbed. Though, this would make people with glasses or any eye protection his weakness with using this ability. He is unable to generate waves in the ocean but combine with winds, he can augment any waves and make them more deadlier than before, making him a formidable enemy at the sea.

Other:

Marinus never saw himself as the type to get married or that he would eventually meet the right girl to as he loves the sea more than anyone else he has met. What perfect woman is out there for him besides the epitome of the sea, a mermaid?

    Appearance
Virgil has the face of his grandfather, another royal blessed with ice magic.

His hair is gray with blue undertones and due to its length, he'll usually keep it tied in a ponytail or braided. His eyes, on the other hand, are dark blue that complements most of his blue and white clothing. Physically, his body is tall and lean, though there's still definition beneath his clothing.

His wardrobe is large, ranging from knightly armor to winter parkas to the suits that his tailors create for him; however, the armor over his left arm is mainstay due to being an enchanted prosthetic.
    Personality
Most people are surprised to find that Virgil is a strikingly honest individual. A person means what he says and says what he means, he never sugarcoats his words nor does he exaggerate anyone's deeds be they good or bad. Instead, his words cut through the room, commanding attention from his kingdom's subjects and obedience from his subordinates.

Wisdom, courage, temperance, and justice govern his decisions. It's rare for him to show emotions in front of others, anger being the rarest of all. It isn't for a lack of trying at all, but rather that he's become so acclimated to suppressing his emotions that he doesn't bother to process them anymore. The only time he seems to unwind is when walking with his wolf or when challenged to a fight. Duels are not something to be taken lightly and he will not hold back (children notwithstanding) out of respect for his opponent's honor.

It's rude to play with your food after all.

He has the distinguishable blond hair of the royal family and has ruby-red coloured eyes. He's most seen wearing a formal white military uniform with gold embellishments, and a red cape lined with black fur around the edges.

While in disguise to attend parties, he has pink hair and blue eyes. He is normally dressed with some white informal opened blouses, with optional vests and brownish jackets.
    Personality
As the Second Prince having been constantly compared to his brother the crown prince, he is short-tempered causing him to develop some violent tendencies which may be the affect of having fire magic and trained as a knight. However, despite his violent tendencies, he is capable of excellent judgment and is quick-witted. He tends to rely on his instincts, preferring to judge situations based on what he observes rather than blindly trusting rumors. Additionally, he is very observant, quickly noticing changes in his surroundings. When not on his guard, typically when he's among his comrades in arms in the knighthood, Rowan is rather laid-back. He is carefree, mischievous, sarcastic, and arrogant, often teasing those he cares about.

Tethys is
Self Assured and Confident
in herself. She feels no burden from straddling two worlds—she embraces both her human and mermaid heritage with equal parts pride and ease. Her sense of self is rooted not in the expectations of others, but in the quiet certainty of who she is and the goodness she strives to bring into the world. Though the unfamiliar might breed fear in those who don't understand, and the sea-dwellers may regard her with wariness, Tethys is unfazed. She doesn't seek validation from either side. Instead, her purpose is clear: to do good, in every way she can and to live by her own unwavering compass of compassion and integrity. She is loyal to her ideals and will never compromise her values for personal gain. While she cherishes relationships and alliances, Tethys is fiercely independent. She doesn’t rely on others to define her path and is more than capable of handling herself, whether she’s negotiating with world leaders or confronting underwater threats. Her independence makes her a natural leader, but also someone who doesn’t shy away from taking on challenges alone when necessary.
Diplomatic and Fair
and wise beyond her years, the Mermaid, with her unique dual heritage, has learned to navigate complex social dynamics...troubled waters...and has a natural diplomatic disposition. She is adept at balancing different points of view and finding common ground between the land and sea. She can diffuse tension with ease, offering a solution that benefits both sides while staying true to her own values. As a princess who straddles two worlds, Tethys often finds herself faced with dilemmas that require deep thought and careful judgment. She may be young, but her life experiences have made her wise beyond her years. She’s not quick to make rash decisions but instead takes time to observe and consider all perspectives and possible consequences before acting. Believing that those in power have an innate duty to ensure the safety of their people. Whether it's skins, fins, or her loved ones, Tethys is fiercely
Protective and Loyal
. She is a defender of those who cannot defend themselves, whether it’s mermaids who are oppressed or the creatures of the sea that are threatened by human greed or the people on land exploited by their Lords and Kings. Her protective instincts make her a passionate guardian of her home and her people, and she will go to great lengths to ensure their safety. Even with the weight of two worlds upon her shoulders, Tethys is
Playful and Whimsical
; she has a lighter side that is joyful and free-spirited with a zest for life, especially when she is in the comfort of the sea. She has a passionate love for music, singing, dance, and the joy of discovery, often letting herself indulge in the simple pleasures of life when time is afforded.

h

istory

During a rare celestial event when the tides of the ocean were at their most turbulent and the stars above aligned with amplified brilliance, Tethys was born. Her Mother, Princess Adamaris, was known for her wisdom and grace, often sought by other merfolk for guidance and counsel as her family had ruled the ocean’s most sacred depths for centuries. Her beauty was legendary, her voice capable of luring even the most hardened sailors to their doom, and her heart was said to be as deep as the sea itself. Her father, Milo, was a human scholar. A man of great learning and curiosity, he had spent his life studying the mysteries of the ocean and odd oceanic events that seemed to bear no scientific explanation. He had ventured deep into the seas on an expedition to map uncharted waters, hoping to uncover the secrets of the ocean’s forgotten realms. It was there that he encountered Adamaris, whose enchanting song he had heard from the surface, but never understood. Instead of becoming lost to her melody, as so many others had, Milo was captivated by her wisdom and her profound connection to the sea.

The two fell in love, a rare and forbidden union—one that could never be accepted by the rigid traditions of either side. The Sea Court believed that merfolk and humans should never mingle, for it was believed that the oceans and the land could never be truly unified as the gods had separated them for good reason. Similarly, Milo’s people saw mermaids as terrifying myth, creatures to be feared or hunted, not revered.

But their love transcended these barriers.

As a child, Tethys often found herself torn between two cultures, loved by both yet fully embraced by neither. Among her mermaid kin, she was treated with a distant respect but there was always a hint of wariness in their eyes. She was half-human after all—a mortal and someone whose lifeblood was impermanent and fragile. Among humans, there were whispers of her “sea-blood” and rumors of her origin, making it difficult for her to fully integrate into human society. Her mother took her to the depths of the ocean, where she was taught the ways of the sea, its languages, its ancient songs, and the magic that flowed through the water. From her father, Tethys learned of the human world—the land of cities, kingdoms, and the curious devices humans had created to manipulate the world around them. Both taught her the value of knowledge and the importance of understanding both perspectives.

During Tethys’s adolescence, a catastrophic storm ravaged the empire’s coastal territories, leaving behind devastation—flooded cities, widespread destruction, casualties, and economic strain. The event was seen as an ill omen, with many whispering that the child of Land and Sea was its catalyst. Rumors spread like wildfire, and the humans, quick to assign blame, pointed their fingers at the seafolk, who became scapegoats for the tragedy. The empire, gripped by fear and superstition, viewed Tethys as the embodiment of this destruction—a dangerous hybrid who could wield the power of the oceans with devastating force. They called her the Ocean Child, and stories of her abilities grew with each telling. She could summon storms, command the tides, and flood entire cities with a mere thought. Whether those tales were true mattered little; the empire saw her as a threat to be contained.

Spies were dispatched to track her movements, and emissaries arrived with proposals, hoping to secure her cooperation through alliances that would bind her in service to the empire. It was clear they wanted to control her—to harness her powers, or eliminate her if she proved uncontrollable.

Reluctantly, Tethys complied with the penalties imposed upon her. She played along with their demands, not out of submission, but as a way to begin mending the rift between the land-dwellers and the sea-folk. She did what was asked of her, if only to placate their fears and feeble attempts at control. But beneath her compliance was a quiet defiance—her ultimate drive was not to be a pawn in their political games. Whether they sought to use her as a weapon or destroy her, Tethys’s only purpose was to do good by her people, to bridge the divide between the two worlds, and to never turn her back on her kin—no matter their origin.

Before being pulled into Phantoms of Love, Asami Hoshigaki grew up in a multicultural household that constantly tugged her in two directions. Her mother, a Japanese woman from a small coastal village, was deeply rooted in tradition and the expectations of her heritage. Her father, a professor from the United States, had come to Japan for a research project and never left, bringing with him a more progressive, open-minded approach to life.

In this environment, Asami found herself caught between two worlds. On one side, her mother’s family urged her to be obedient, proper, and uphold their cultural values. On the other, her father’s colleagues encouraged her to speak her mind, think critically, and embrace new ideas. Asami often felt like a quiet observer in both spaces, never fully belonging to one or the other. To navigate this tension, she found comfort in books and storytelling, retreating into worlds where characters bridged divides and united people from all walks of life.

Fantasy novels, manga, and anime with heroines who balanced seemingly opposing worlds became Asami’s escape and inspiration. These characters—brave, wise, and able to bring different factions together—were the role models she admired. She longed to be like them, to somehow reconcile the duality of her own existence without losing herself in the process.

Asami’s desire to bring people together eventually led her to major in international relations in college. Passionate about diplomacy and conflict resolution, she focused her studies on the dynamics of cultural differences and the possibility of reconciliation. Her goal was clear: to bridge cultural divides and foster understanding. She interned at various NGOs, working on global peace initiatives and environmental rights, always driven by the belief that unity was the key to a better future.

Through it all, Asami remained neither fully traditional nor fully counter-cultural—she was both, and that was who she was meant to be. Asami’s identity wasn’t defined by one side or the other; it was shaped by the blending of cultures, ideas, and values. She sought to create harmony, not by choosing one path over the other, but by embracing both and finding a way to bring people together in a world that often seemed divided.

Name: Miriel de Rosalie
Age: 22
Role: The Demon Princess
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Brief Personality: Once a kind and carefree soul the burdens of her power has whittled away much of Miriel's gentle nature and replaced it with a simmering resentment towards the world along with the desperation to take control of her own life even should that require her to seize it by force or manipulation.

The sudden appearance of memories from another life has left Miriel more outspoken than she was before when subjected to mistreatment but also less likely to scheme up revenge plots against those who have slighted her.

Brief History: House Rosalie is a noble family older than the kingdom itself originally serving Zulbric until their defection to the newly formed Parlton during the first war between the kingdoms cementing them as one of the Parlton royal's most trusted families but also an enigmatic one.

Miriel is the eldest daughter of House Rosalie in the current day and is the latest manifestation of the buried secret of their bloodline. Instantly marked by her horns the best fate that would have awaited Miriel at any other time in the last few centuries would have been a life of forced seclusion but the kingdom's misfortune turned out to be her boon as the growing hostilities with Zulbric lead to her powers being acknowledged as potentially useful, enough that she was presented to and betrothed to the second prince.

In the normal course of the 'game' Miriel sought to manipulate the Hothead in order to seize power, her downfall came as she became sympathetic to the prince as another victim of being born 'wrong' and attempted to include him in her plans but found his heart stolen by the Heroine. Backed into a corner as her plans unravelled Miriel surrendered to her own demons rather than be imprisoned again and vanished from the world.

Other: Before reincarnating as a villainess Miriel was Michael, a gay man who used otome games like Phantom's of Love to explore his sexuality as a teen. A professional flautist in her previous life Miriel uses one to augment her magical abilities and 'charms' her demons like snakes.
