The virus had swept over humanity like a hot knife through butter, it started off being absolutely fantastic, it was a vaccine that could literally cure Cancer, but humanity started to slowly be wiped out, and destroyed bit by bit, creating horrible Vampire-Like Zombies, that were strong enough to take many 7.62mm round to the chest, and rip a van to pieces, and even tackle the damn thing over, humans had no chance in hand to hand combat with these things, you may be immune, but you can still get ripped to shreds, these things hunt nocturnally, and have wiped out humanity in no time, they even are incredibly smart, and will train Zombie hounds, and got about things tactically, these zombies go by the names of... "Darkseekers".
There's two types of the virus, the Airborne, and the Blood to Blood. Dogs, and most animals are immune to the airborne, but if they get bit, it's over for them, but the humans that are immune, are immune to both strands, but again, you can still get fucked up by these things:
