Hybrid High is a High School for thirteen to eighteen-year-old hybrids. The time is modern. This High School is built for hybrids, also known as outcasts, most of them have very dark pasts. It is also built to help them use their special abilities properly.
Although it's a High School, it' also like college, since the hybrids have to stay until their last year. There are thousands of dorms, and they usually decorate it themselves, or leave it as it is.
Each year, a special event happens. And that event is called, "The Game Of Dancing Fires". The Game Of The Dancing Fires is a game designed to test students, to know what they learned the past year. They are assigned to teams, depending on the amount of hybrids, and are sent into Magique Woods.
Magique Woods is a large forest Northeast Hybrid High. It is called, 'Magique', which means magical in French, because it's really damn confusing. It is a forest where, whatever direction you head toward, you still end up at the same spot where you started. They can use their powers, but, it depends. Usually, before they go in Magique Woods, the teachers will prepare a list of students who can't use their powers. And if they did, dire consequences could happen.
The game simple, and yet hard. First, the teams are to find eight crystals, each crystal is very unique, so if they lose it, they get punishments. The other teams can fight for it, but no...killing, obviously.
Usually, the teams end up not coming back from the forest, and end up never getting seen, ever.
However, if one team does get all the eight crystals, they can leave the school, really early.
Oh, and, each year, the team exchanges two members. All the other team members bet to vote for two members, and those two will randomly switch with other team members. No complaining, no switching after just switching.
