Hybrid Half-Caste hits Essence 4

I've just been thinking about this so I thought I get some oppions. What do you think happens when a Hybrid Hafe-Caste reaches Essence 4 and is living in Autochon so heaven won't be awhere of it at all.

There's a thing in the Autocthonian Book about hybrids.  They are basically the Autocthonian equivalent of Akuma or Infernals.

I KNOW what a hybrid exalted is.

Im not sure if Hybrids would have a special form of half caste or even be capable of producing them.

Well sence Hybrids are living breathing flesh and not clay it is reasonable that they can have hafe Caste children and that they might be hybrids themselves

That seems unlikely.  Hybrids are created by putting machine parts into normal exalts, as I remember.  Unless he's had some very strange surgery done I doubt said machine parts are gonna be passed on to any children.  They may have half caste children, but they'd just be normal half castes.

If you're asking whether or not you can hybridise (is that even a word? :P ) half-castes, I dunno.  I'd say yes, because it seems cool enough :P

It is more than becoming a cyborg the divine ministers have to do something to the exalts so that they can become cyborgs and the book calls them Autochthon's Akuma

I don't think that a hybrid half-caste is possible and, unless one part of their parent is Dragon-Blooded (and I don't even know if that is possible), I doubt they will be Exalted.  Assuming they do Exalt, however, they would have to go through the same process as their parent to become a hybrid, as none of Autochtons gifts can be bred.

that what I'm currious about Autochthian exalts are made of clay but when a normal exalt becomes a hybrid they are flesh and blood and thier essence is altered they can evan buy the Anima effect of the caste they are closet to so what would their hafe caste children be like I figure they will have the ability to be a cyborg built in but what happens after can they become Autochthian exalts that are alive or will they exalt as a hybird I'm trying to make rules for them as I will likly have a game with one at some point  as well if I can define the rules well enough play one

Oh, Akuma-ized half-caste? I... think they'd be treated like demon-blooded half castes (since Akumas are demon-blooded Exalts in a way...) but not sure if the PG even mentions that option. I've seen god-blooded Exalts, but not god-blooded half castes...

I don't think I'm making much sense, but oh well. Since Autochthon Akuma-ization rules are a bit different from normal Akuma-ization, I'd need the PG and the Autochthonians book to figure out the details... Storywise I don't see why not, but mechanics would be somewhat funky.

In most cases I think its LIKELY they would be normal half caste.

They may have one or two unusualy merits or flaws

(Like eidetic memory) but no "special template" as such.

To clear up the whole God/Demon-blood half-caste thing...

One takes precedence. Period. The other heritage is overridden.

If a God-blood Exalts, his/her progeny will derive their heritage from the Exalt type, not from the Exalt's former God-Blood status.

No, this isn't written anywhere, but considering that Half-Caste heritage trumps God-Blood heritage, it's not unreasonable to think that full Exalt status would trump God-Blood heritage as well.

As for Alchemical enhancements, the enhancements are somatic, not genetic. Therefore, they would not be inherited. Any Autochtonian Investment into a Alkie-Blood should follow normal God-Blood inheritance rules...

SID what I'm thinking about is if the relevent parent is a hybrid what would their set up be, and when a exalt becomes akuma they become demon blooded as well as exalt making it where they can buy their exalt types charms and spirt charms as well

Due to the power comig from a primordial, instead of a demon, would the 'akuma blooded' over ride the half-caste?

If so, they would become a demon-blooded half-caste instead of a Celestial half-caste...

Any suggestions on which would win?

either their a completely normal half caste... or their a demon blooded.
simple as that...
Ah, but which one, that's the rub.

Btw, I don't really think that anyone that gets Infernal Investment would qualify as 'completely normal' anymore...

I was referring to the child.

the child should probaly be a half caste of the appropiate exalt type, possibly with some merits or flaws, such as unlucky, or dark fate, etc appropiate to the type of function their parent fills.

1. Hybrid issue

I read the hybrid section in Autochthonians (for those of you interested, it's the text box on p. 72), and as far as I can tell, Auto only targets Exalts for hybridization. Therefore, they produce half-Castes as normal.

The hybridization is not living material; there's no indication we're talking about a Borg magi-tech equivalent. For example, in a Shadowrun game. a character replaces her arms with cyber arms. She then gives birth to a kid. Would the kid have anything but normal flesh?

2. Investing Exalts (akuma-ization)

All indications imply that they can still purchase their original Exalt type charms, and have access to new, spiffy powers (not necessarily regular spirit charms; there is no indication that Dukantha has any normal spirit charms).

Oh, we forgot the most likely possibility: completely mortal progeny, with or w/o special merits/flaws.
