Moral Compass: While Kenji himself is quite sane usually, being somewhat hardened by his environment, he can be rather ruthless when it comes to obtaining what he wants, as he has been instructed to be for years. As a result his actual moral compass is somewhat tainted from circumstance. Kenji is not afraid to cheat, steal, backstab if necessary to prove himself, or get the results he wants. This is largely due to the fact he is caught up in the life style he knows that he is destined for. As a result Kenji has a somewhat warped Moral compass, due to his desperation and unfortunate circumstance.

Backstory: Kenji's backstory is not the most ideal one's by any means. His primary source of wealth comes from the fact that his family in actuality is part of a rather large Yakuza clan. Within said family, his father operates as a loan shark, to those in dire need, for the family. As a result Kenji never grew up in an environment of normalcy, in constant fear that members of his family would be arrested, or be taken out by rival members. Thankfully for him, this sketchy background has provided him with plenty of money to throw around, and a safety net of sorts if things were to go terribly wrong. this would be the case USUALLY if it weren't for the fact he had been sent to the academy to prove himself worthy, through his gambling proneness, as when he reaches age he is expected to earn money through any means necessary, gambling and cheating the system at the most exclusive and black market casinos being ideal. Kenji spent a large part of his time playing Chinchirorin with people, a gambling dice game, which subsequently has become one of his favorites, earning money for the family through said means.As a result of this since it is truly a "Test" he will need to make do with the funds he was allocated and anything he earned on the side to truly prove himself. After all what good is someone who can't return an investment with profit? Generally speaking the family group on the exterior operates as if it is a regular business, with a well known family office, meanwhile other activity occurs on the downlow..or in some cases on the not so down low.

Personality: Kenji generally tries to play the friendly and charismatic, even heroic act to draw people into a false sense of security before his true colors show, haven taken notes from the similar style that his father used to draw people into signing with him. As a result of his family ties he has taken a great deal learning how to act, hold a poker face, and generally play emotions how he needs to. He himself can actually be somewhat sadistic at other's failures, particularly if it is someone he has a distain for ,or if it is to his benefit. In addition to this he is notoriously cruel to those who are in debt to him USUALLY, taking after his father in that regard.On the other side of things due to his ties, he does have a sense of honor to those who is he is fact without a shadow of a doubt loyal too, but those people are quite rare. Despite all of this, to people who he considers true allies or friends, he can show a decent side of humanity, and more normalcy..regardless those these people and times are rare.

Backstory: Kyorin is from a rich family with ties across the world. Her family has nearly endless resources. From a young child she was taught to risk things for the sake of risk itself. At the age of 8 her father died, prematurely leaving her as his heir. It isn't very well known what happened over the next couple of years but by age 13 she was raising their familie's networth by many times and taking the economic world by storm. Now age 17 she controls an academy, wasting her days away for a real challenge, somebody worth her own time.

Personality: Kyorin is a pessimistic person who only really enjoys things when there is a challenge involved. She highly dislikes life and uses the hierarchy to fufill her own enjoyment aswell as present others with opportunities.

Moral Compass: She , unlike her leader, knows the difference between right and wrong. She likes things to be fair, and will argue with the President herself if she feels something doesn't live up to their standards.
Personality: To the average person, she would be treated a sa powerful woman. When her presence is known, sometimes the pressure from her is enough to send even some of the strongest gamblers running the opposite direction in fear of an all or nothing battle, and was consistently compared to be " A Gambler many leagues ahead of a Legendary Gambler from times long ago". She isn't evil or neutral, but is blatantly supportive of others who are gambling and wants to see every single one of the gamblers live up to their true potential. While she is extremely passionate about Gambling and punishes those who cheat during the game harshly, she isn't anywhere as bad as many many claim that she is. She has even shown to extend her hand to those who are Dogs/Cats and offer them a chance at redemption if they impress her in a gambling battle.
Bio: She and her sister were some of the richer people in China, with some of the greatest connections the world has ever known in terms of monopolies. Her mother and father became effortless multi-billionaires through gambling themselves, and as a result they were taught in the aspect of it as well. While she was taught well, she was insanely supportive of her sister, who despite her disabilities was well above her sister in the gambling arena, even now. After defeating her father in a game, she inherited the company instead of her sister. Now... She waits for her sister to challenge her in the Private Academy for her chance of gaining the title.

Moral Compass: She is a kind young girl who tries to help as many people as she can. Albeit, she is still far too timid a individual to even prepare herself mentally for such interactions.
Personality: Ayana is described as a timid young girl who doesn't have much to offer in regards to being a social butterfly as her grand title would suggest . She was never able to make any resemblance of friends in any matter, She isn't anything like her sister, who was known to be highly arrogant at times with her abilities, she is as hesitant about showing off her gaming abilities as she is rather thoughtful and doesn't want to really do this. She has her own agenda, and after hearing the rumours about the school she wants to defeat her sister to gain her back. She felt she lost her ever since she left home to come to the school.

However, when her disassociate identity/dual persona/split personality shows up... That is where the gambling game truly begins . If her sister's pressure was compared to the pressure of ability , it would be like " a small gust of wind in comparison to a almighty tornado" . Her disposition during gambling is no holding back and is determined to the end to complete the match. She enjoys the match to such a ridiculous degree it is almost insane, wishing to gamble and bet it all just to see what the other is capable of.

Bio: Ayana and Yumiko both were part of the same Gambling Corporation. She was just a fair bit as good as her sister, perhaps far more so, since she was the one who took down her father before her sister did. However, she wasn't allowed to take the throne as she was just a small child at the time. When her sister did it, all the power went to her head. Her sister Yumiko was accepted to the academy as a Student Council Member without any hesitations due to the background of her family and her being the current head, but Ayana noticed that her sister was acting as if she was a Queen. She didn't like it at all. With permission of her father, she ended up going to the school a few years after her sister did. Her goal was simple: Get a chance to duel her sister and bring her old self back.

When it comes down to it Taeko loves nothing more than money and power, she strives to stand above others. She loves throwing others into debt and crushing their hopes to the point where she even gains pleasure from it.
Backstory: The Yasuhiro family dates back all the way to feudal japan no Taeko's ancestors weren't lords who owned countless land, they were thieves. Not the kind who were hunted down by the law or avoided at all cost no they were the type of thieves whose prey willingly handed over their money. The Yasuhiro family was a group of people who gambled with others in simple games for money. Yet what no one seemed able to figure out was the reason few beat the Yasuhiros' was because they cheated. Even those who did win were simply allowed to win in order to make it seem like the feat was possible. With this the Yasuhiro family was able to amount a grand wealth and have ever since continued to steal right from under people's nose. Scams, embezzling money, loan sharks, the Yasuhiro family excelled in dirty money. Taeko is no different even when she was just a small child she was already running a pyramid scheme in her private elementary school. Her parents teaching her how to teach at gambling she would then practice at school scamming children out of their allowance. Taeko slowly found the only thing she enjoyed more than the money she was winning was the defeated faces of those who lost all their money. The more she did the more she enjoyed nowadays Taeko can't go a day without driving someone into despair otherwise she just didn't feel the same.

Personality: Taeko lives by a simple code of life “If it’s not fun. What’s the point?” As childish as that sounds she lives by this code and applies it to almost all of her decisions. From the people she hangs out with to how she decides to treat people. Many would find it’s hard to know who the real Taeko is as each time they meet her she is pretty much a whole new person. Always changing up her habits seeming to get bored of even her own personality leaving the question of if there even is a real Taeko. The answer is there actually is but the only time Taeko lets her mask down is when she drives someone else into the pits of despair. Then she will reveal her self to be nothing more than a monster who only feels true joy when others suffer. Taeko doesn't just enjoy hurting others she lives for it the very idea of seeing their despair filled faces is intoxicating to her. Taeko doesn't make friends she simply "grooms" people who she feels would make wonderful despair filled faces. Like waiting for fruit to become ripe or for Santa to come on Christmas she waits patiently but full of excitement for the day she betrays them and sees their faces twist in agony as they fall into debt.

Moral Compass: Jirou doesn't care what other people do as long as it doesn't affect him. He doesn't really care about morals, he just tries to make as much money as possible to fix the pit that he dug himself in. He isn't greedy or yearning for power, rather his just trying to get by using any means necessary. He's very self centered, so don't expect him to help you in anyway though he can be sympathetic to those he deems as good people.
Backstory: Jirou's parents made most of their money by investing in different businesses, many of them were shady, run by criminals but that never bothered his parents. From a young age, he was rather interested in gambling, he and a few kids would gamble just for fun. As he grew up , he started gambling for money, usually with the other rich kids in his school. He became adept at it and once he was of age, he went to the Hyakkaou Academy and gamble with the big dogs. His first year at the school went rather well, not taking any big losses and made a decent amount of cash. His second year he made a big mistake because of his growing arrogance and lost almost all of his money. He was unable to donate for a while which in return granted him the Pet status. The event caused him to go into depression and he became a heavy drug user but he was determined to lose the title.

Personality: Jirou is arrogant though due to his status he gained because of it, he recognized it as a weakness and usually doesn't express it. He's very selfish and when it comes to private affairs, nobody but himself will know about it. Jirou easily gets ticked off, getting in fights often with other students who attack him for his status. He is a conversationalist, talking a lot to gain info on other people that might help him when gambling.
