Hey everyone

so about the werewolf lore um can I make my own lore or is there like a rule or something?
 
To piggyback on Flecker's point, I'm also curious about the kind of magic that exists within the witch faction.
apolla apolla I know you mentioned in the interest check thread somewhere that you wanted to discuss this. Does that mean you have an idea about the brand of witch, werewolf, and vampire that exist in this world?

I have this loose idea about how my character makes a deal with some other being/creature in order to gain his magic. In other words, he would be a made witch rather than a born one. Would that work for the concept you've envisioned? If not, no worries. I just need to know how much freedom I have with the lore before really digging into my character.

I also have this idea about my werewolf and my idea would emphasize more on the fact that this creature is an accursed being shunned by the heavens and the werewolf's curse is a curse directly from God or something similar. apolla apolla

i ended up going home from work early because of some personal reasons
and i didn't even think about answering.

alright so this is what i had in mind for the lore.

WITCHES
being a born witch or a made witch is fine.
i dont mind if you use spells, or if its more of a gifted human type of deal.
maybe made witches use spells and stuff, whereas born ones have like 'gifts' if that makes sense?

WEREWOLVES
I'm not sure what you mean by the werewolf's curse being a curse from god, though i'm not opposed to it, i would just have to hear more.
you can be born with the werewolf gene or given it (bitten, scratched, etc.)
you turn into an actual wolf, not the half human half wolf thing.
you turn on the full moon, and possibly under extreme duress.
weakness to silver.

VAMPIRES
vampires are made, not born.
weakness to the sun, silver.
can walk in the sun if you have a piece of jewelry blessed by a witch (stole from TVD)
need blood to survive, but can eat human food (for example, to blend in.)

My vamp casually trying to see if she sparkles in the sun cuz she watched Twilight...
 
well I was reading about this story and this guy claimed that he could turn into a wolf and kill witches/demons as hounds of God? So I was thinkinf my ic's kinda like that but he made a terrible sin and his form's now a really deformed full of cysts wolf?

I don't think we should include religion like that in this rp, and cysts wouldn't really make sense as a deformity. ^^
 
Oh ok so the werewolf is just a wolf guy thing? And no specialties, no half wolf half human form, kinda like the ones from twilight?

I've only seen the first Twilight (and hated it) but yes I think so.

I think I will pursue the "made" witch pathway then. Oooo... There could be some interesting social dynamics surrounding source magic. I wouldn't be surprised if, on the whole, born witches have a general opinion of made witches and vice versa. The witch community by itself could have its own turbulent social hierarchy (as each race would, I imagine). Thoughts?

Out of curiosity, do hybrids exist? For instance, a witch who was bitten by a werewolf. Is that even possible? Would other supernatural types be affected differently by each other than humans?
Do other kinds of supernatural creatures exist aside from the three that define our characters? Do ghosts, merpeople, fairies, demons, spirits, etc. exist in this world as well?

Sorry to pepper you all with questions! I'm just trying to get a firm grasp of what kind of world bore our characters. It's hard for me to imagine who my character is without understanding the world that created him, you know?

Omg considering I'm thinking of making a born bitch, there could definitely be some tension/drama there if yours was a made witch. I am so down.

Yes other supernatural creatures exist. ^^

As far as hybrids, yes it's possible. Why not? Sounds cool. Just none of our characters.
