Name: Alain Saint-Claire

Occupation: Renegade/Wanted Supernatural Creature

Appearance: Despite his age, Alain has little in the way of scarring. After all, his natural regeneration will repair nearly any wound. But, there are a few things that will still scar. UV Burns, wounds caused by silver weapons, and fire are some of the only things that could wound him enough to scar, which is exactly where he got the one over his right eye.

Personality: Clever, charming, manipulative, and cruel, Alain has mostly forgone his previous skills of subtlety and lies with pure bloodlust.

Weaknesses: Vampires have a severe natural allergy to several sources, such as garlic, silver, and UV light. Besides this, vampires are severely weakened in the prescence of objects and tokens filled with large amounts of faith, such as crosses or other religious iconography. This weakness can actually turn deadly in the prescence of a few supernatual creatures, such as demons or angels, making him naturally inclined to avoid such entities. However, as this is a major weakness of vampires, most vampires (including Alain) have the ability to sense large amounts of faith nearby, allowing them to avoid it and not be affected.

Backstory: Born in 1748, Alain has almost completely forgotten the time he spent before being turned. What he does remember is his murder and resurrection at the hands of his sire, whom would go on to teach him much in the ways of the vampire, both as the beast and the gentleman. For hundreds of years, he decived humans, eventually acting the part of an enigmatic philanthropist whilst secretly ruling a small vampire clan of his own making in French Canada during the late 20th century. Of course, all good things come to an end. Eventually, humans discovered not only the existence of vampires, but many more creatures, some of which even Alain was unaware of actually existing. During this tumultuous time, one of his brood was captured and tortured, revealing Alain's true identity as a vampire, forcing him to go underground unless he desired to die a horrible and painful death. And so, he fled. Now, reduced to living in sewers and other such indignities, Alain has decided that he will no longer play the part he has been playing for centuries, of the gentleman. If the humans want a monster out of him, then by God, he would deliver.

Appearance: His human facade may look and maneuver like young adult, but he’s far older than he can even remember. He has no distinct features as he could simply change them if he becomes suspected for supernatural activity (though his current for is shown above). His form as of now is a 6’ 1”, athletically built, and short choppy black haired male. His eyes are cold and lifeless, a light grey in color. He can’t hide this lack of life in his eyes no matter what he does, it seems to be a fault in his illusion. His original form has no face, it’s simply a void of darkness. His original body is also fairly wispy, not completely solid in form. He also has to wear gloves over his hands as they don't seem to full transform, which just another fault within his illusion.

Personality: Rur’uthog is very empty of emotions, making him hard to please or displease. If he speaks, he’s very curt and straight forward without regard to the listener’s feelings. This stems much from his will to live, or lack thereof. While he won’t go down without a fight, he isn’t fearful or saddened by his own death either. He does seemingly have a soft spot for the innocent though, it must have had to do something with his past...

Backstory: Rur’uthog was born with immense amounts of dark power back in the very beginning. He doesn’t remember much of what happened in his earlier days, but he does remember he used his abilities to feed his desire for pain and suffering. He knows he toyed with many lives during his early years. Humans were so simple back then… From then to what he's become now is a complete blur. There was just too much to remember so he just forgot. Though he does remember a period of warm, but he can’t pinpoint what gave him the feeling. He does know the loss of this warmth was because of him. Which led to a long period of self loathing and becoming a tale of a monster in the woods. During that time he wandered aimlessly across the vast planet, having no reason of being. This has gotten him where he is now, constantly assimilating himself to the fast changing human culture (at least to him). Yet now and then he does dabble into the black market industry as a weapon to hire. Though his maintenance of his human for does drain his power, his movements will be sloppier and more messy as he attempts to keep this form. The maximum he had hold this form is for a week, but proper peak functional period while in human form is only three days.

Rur’uthog may be exteremely powerful, but the weakest angle could easily defeat him as long as you outwit his wisdom and experience. An holy based items (crafts from angles, assuming that this world doesn’t follow religion) can dwindle his powers. Even a mere blessing could make his step away. He speaks with a thick accent, though not one of the human world. It seems to be rooted from some ancient demonic tongue he once spoke.

Appearance: She has long raven black hair with bangs. Her eyes are a soft reddish brown which gleam with kindness. She has east asian features as her family line stems from China. She stands at about 5’ 4” and has fairly petite structure. She has fairly pale skin which in cause leads her to be sensitive to the sun. This has mistaken her for a vampire at times, but that was strictly by appearance. Otherwise medically, she is completely normal human and average at most. She tends to have a bit of a baby face which she gets teased often for looking like a little girl. She isn't the most capable fighter and has to be careful when on the streets. Someone could easily over power her due to her lack of strength. She's a constant victim to thugs and thieves alike as she's an easy target.

Personality: While Airis is an incredibly kind and nurturing person, she is a bit of a ditz and gullible. While she won’t be tricked by street vendor or scammers, as she knows better, if you pull a convincing con, she would probably fall for it instantly. While she knows there is sentiment against supernaturals, Airis is an optimist and believes in coexistence with supernaturals. She feels that if treated harshly, the supernaturals will be hostile and problems would arise. Though she’s only read history books on the War of Supernatural Creatures. She also is very easily trusting towards people she doesn't very well. She would probably tell you her deepest secrets even if she only knew the person for a week.

Backstory: Generations back from Airis, her family left China seeking refuge from WSC. Since then, her family has moved to Grimville. She grew up in an average middle class household (or what's considered average in Grimville as it’s a very rich town), with two siblings, her parents, and her dogs (German Shepherds). She was an honor roll student and she went to college to become a vet. She has a passion for helping others, but was too scared to actually operate on real people (fearing she might mess up). Thus she now works at the local animal mostly shadowing and helping out the main vet. She hopes she can open her own animal hospital once she has her license. Though she dash of a persistent interest in the supernatural. She likes to go to the slum areas of the town to find and speak to the lower scaling supernaturals about their species.

I like the character overall, but there's a few things that has to be changed. His age should be specified, since "ancient" isn't really specific. He doesn't have to remember his age, but this is just for me knowing when he was indeed born. Also, with the "changing appearance", is there a specific limit? It seems too big of a power. Maybe his power drains? If not, then I can't have that, since it's a bit op. One more question... by "nonexistent" in sexuality, do you mean "asexual"? This doesn't matter.. I'm just a bit curious. he's really hot

Is it possible you can type out the weaknesses for this character? (Phobias, fears, things that can be used against her, negative personality traits, etc).

Thank you for the critique! I've added a span in which Rur'uthog can hold his human illusion, if you still think it's too much I can diminish it even more. I've also added a specific age, I wanted him to be like one of the OG demon in time, but I wasn't sure what time span you wanted to go by so I just put ancient (like if you were implying supernaturals were here when the earth first started 4.54 or something billion years ago). IKR I might have made a mistake in making him too hot because I'm feeling that as well with my OWN character On the sexuality part, I just wanted to give the feeling that Rur'uthog couldn't feeling anything at all as he's a through and through demon, thus the nonexistent portion of his sexuality. I didn't want to put asexual due to the fact it still implies the search of a partner but only romantically. I would love to have him develop though to find feelings for someone special late in the rp, but I didn't want to say that he had any thoughts of pursuing anyone in the first place. Regardless I put down asexual, but if allowed, could I simply put question marks implying he may start feeling something in the future? Idl what you'd prefer so simply tell me!
