Hunger Games

So all those who were willing to help out, thanks again! So the general idea the previous game maker came up with was a Hunger Games where none of the original characters existed and President Snow is still at the helm of the capitol. Depending on whether this rp gets the 24 role-players needed in order for there to be all 12 district participants which is not likely, the district numbers will have to be shortened or some of the district members will have to be NPC's.


How this rebellion will happen is my main concern. The district 13 thing is a little over-used, in my opinion but that could still be used if there are no other ideas.

Great stuff! How about where an ambitious general from District 2 plans a coup, but gets discovered before it comes into fruition?

I'm just putting this out there - we don't need 24 role-players. It is very likely that some people won't mind playing more than one character, as I usually do. When I did a Hunger Games RP, I was planning on playing as more than 1 character (but unfortunately the RP died before it began...).

That could be a good idea, but what reason could he have to rebel against the capitol, given that district 2 is one of the capitol's lap-dogs. Perhaps one of the characters could be the son/ daughter of this general who was put into the games as a punishment for the general's crimes? That person could also be a key player in the rebellion as he/she wants revenge for the parents deaths.


I guess we could allow people to play more then one character if they like, but I'm thinking there could be an audition process for the districts people seem to want the most..?

Quite possibly, sounds like a good idea! I was merely going by ambition, or perhaps the general had seen too many of his colleagues 'dismissed' by Snow, and didn't fancy being the next to wind up drinking poison...

I just did a first-come first-serve, and you can only have one character from a specific districts.

Either idea is great - maybe a combination of both, ambition to overthrow the current capitol president paired with a fear of being eliminated in a manner similar to those of his colleagues.


So maybe while they're the inside the games the Dark days happen again and they're stranded inside the arena during a war so they're forced to work with one another in order to bust out?


I tend to shy away from first come first serve as I want this to be a detailed role-play and accepting just anyone would achieve the opposite of this.

Excellent! So anyone have any input on the dark-days plot or would a more classic approach be more suitable?

I think that maybe a more classical approach would be better. Like, just the Games, then lead up to a revolution after the Games.
