A Message From the Capitol
-
As you may know, disaster struck what used to be North America, and what rose from the ashes came the new land of Panem. Panem is the land we all stand for now. Panem was a shining Capitol ringed by thirteen districts, each contributing to one type of work in the majority.
That is, until the Dark Days. The districts began rebelling against the capitol which obviously resulted in the unfortunate event of a total civil war breaking out. And yet, the capitol predictably took the title of “winner” by taking total destruction seriously and erasing District 13’s civilization forever.
Now, the Hunger Games was the result of this happening and must go on. In the event of the uprising, each of the twelve districts must offer one boy and one girl tribute to participate in the Hunger Games, and must strictly be the ages of 12 through 18.

Guidelines
-
So, I have just a few rules/guidelines when creating characters.
1- Please be accurate to the information presented in the books. A tribute from one of the outer districts won't have the fight training of a tribute from districts one and two. Use what the district provides, like axes or hammers.
2- If your character is from district one or two, please don't make them invincible. Give them a weakness, like maybe they're a killer with swords but useless with a mace. (Like Cato not being able shoot the well).
3- Please use a realistic picture or drawing along with a written description. If you do use someone else's work or a real person include credit and faceclaims.
4- You can make more than one character, but I may only accept one based off how many people respond.

My Character

Aria Thorpe-
Full Name: Ariadne Kathryn Thorpe
Nickname: Aria
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Sexuality: Heterosexual
District: 2
-
Aria has dark hair that is cut just below her chin. She normally wears it pinned back because it gets in her way. She has dark eyes and a pale complexion. She's roughly 5'4" and 132 lbs. She's been trained her entire life so she has visible muscles in her legs and arms. After a bad sparring round in her training, Aria had a cut on her face that scarred over and can still be seen in certain lighting.
Face Claim: Adelaide Kane -
Aria grew up in a world where she was never coddled or spared from pain. She learned to not trust people, finding they more often than not will end up betraying you. However, when someone finally broke through Aria's many layers, she proved to be the best kind of friend. She was willing to sacrifice almost anything for her friends. She comes across as extremely sarcastic and cold, but that's how a girl has to act when everyone around her wants to hurt her both physically and emotionally. Aria is also very brave, she volunteered to prevent a friend from being hurt.
Good Traits: Loyal, resilient, confident, patient, and clever.
Bad Traits: Impulsive, skeptical, guarded, and callous. -
Father- Atticus Thorpe Mother- Elena Thorpe Brother- Evan Thorpe (deceased)
Aria's father was a peacekeeper when she was born. He wanted one of his children to follow in his footsteps and when Evan died in one of the Hunger Games Aria became that child. From the moment she was old enough to run, Atticus had Aria training. She was signed up to begin official training when she was 5. She quickly made friends with a girl named Lilah. Lilah was training to be a Hunger Games tribute.
The pair trained together every day, they sparred and grew stronger together. When the time came for Lilah to enter the games, they weren't worried because they knew that she was ready for whatever the game makers threw at her. But then, hours before the reaping, Lilah was jumped outside of the training facility. They sprained her wrist and broke some of her ribs. Aria knew that she still intended to volunteer, so she decided to volunteer instead. -
Technical Abilities: Weapon knowledge, skills with technology, and studies on the past Hunger Games.
Training: Aria was trained to be a peacekeeper. In that training program, she learned how to fight with her hands and with guns. But, while Lilah was training for the grounds, Aria trained as her partner. She would play roles as the other female tributes that Lilah would face. She wasn't the focus of the training but she picked up skills in a lot of weapons.
Weapon Skills: Some of the weapons that Aria trained in were swords, knives, and bows. She's lousy with most weapons that need close contact, she prefers to use her hands in those situations. However, with knives and bows, she's not half bad.
Survival Skills: Aria knows basic details like how to start a fire and how to hunt animals but she doesn't know a lot about poisonous plants or animals. Her focus was in other areas.
