So you can get as in depth as you want with characters or make it up as you go in the game so long as you are consistent either way.

My bare minum requirments are : name, age, district appearance(realistic picture or description), and stats. Personality and backstory can be added if you want to add them. Mentors are the same except they don't need stats

was thinking we do mentors after the tributes are made. AND only one tribute per district until we get 12+ tribute characters made for the same game

12 years old
District 7
Edit: i've come up with a solid backstory: Silverius is the oldest of 12. His biological father, who was a victor of the hunger games, had committed suicide after mentoring a particularly brutal game for district seven when Sil was six years old. His mother has since remarried shortly after and had more children (bringing the number of kids up to 12 during the second marriage) but per capital rules, with no victor in their household any longer, his family was evicted from victors village. Of course, with having so many mouths to feed Silverius was forced to put his name in the reaping several times a month just to get by. Last year one of Sil's siblings, the youngest from his biological father, fell ill and because they can't afford the quality of medicine needed to cure him even with the added rations from entering his name so many times his brother is still fighting the sickness. Which is why Silverius volunteered. If they were back living in victors village again, if they had the income a victor got again... then they would have enough money for the medicine his brother needs.

Backstory: Thorn had been so careful. He showed up at work on time, he kept his head down, when food ran short, he snuck the scraps from the mill floors or traded favors with neighbors; only in the worst of circumstances did he let his name go into the drawing more than necessary. He was on his own, after all, it wasn't like he had to provide for anyone else; just a little longer and he'd be free from the games. And then he and his girlfriend had a baby girl in the dead of winter. He didn't know what to do. They needed food and blankets and fuel for the stove. Thorn decided to trade another favor. At the next reaping, he would take the place of any boy's name that was called, in exchange for the family taking in his little girl.

note: I messed up on my first dice roll but ignored the 1 completely so the stats would be correct.

How do these dice roll things work?

How do these dice roll things work?
Roll (4) (6)-faced dice. Then subtract the lowest dice from the total. Do this for each stat. I included this in the rules thread which is linked to this thread onset the title of ‘other’

Roll dice by making the post/posting to this thread and then going back to edit it. Once you’ve selected edit you should have the option to thow dice

Name: Sapphire Dray
Nickname: n/a
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Birthday: December 1st
District: 1
Likes: Reading, Art, Drawing, beautiful buildings
Dislikes: The games, training, feeling as if she has something to prove
Backstory: Even living in district 1, Sapphire wasn't free of the ever-looming threat of the hunger games however she had been a bit more free than those in the other districts. For Sapphire she had what many people would consider an easy life being the only child of two well-off jewelers. For her the games have always simply been nothing more than a threat of what could happen but never anything that she truly had to worry about. Nonetheless, threat or not she had spent the better part of most of her life training for the possibility that she may reaped or volunteer for the games.

Although for her, volunteering has never been something she'd ever consider. Just the thought of throwing her life away for something so barbaric made her want to vomit. It wasn't as if smart people ever volunteered, it was only those who felt they had nothing to lose or those too sure or desperate to win. Something Sapphire felt she wasn't. That was until she found herself volunteering for the same thing she hated. Not out of desperation or any will of her own but simply out of obligation. An obligation to her parents to put their hard spent training to use. To bring them the fame and fortune they wanted through having a victor as a daughter. Volunteering for Sapphire meant the difference between being a disappointment and a coward or being what her parents wanted, a victor.

Name: Lex Cronin
Age: 18
Gender: Female
District: 2
Sexuality: Straight
Likes: Winning, Competition, Fighting, The Games.
Dislikes: Losing, Kids, Crying, Silence.
Appearance: Brown hair, blue eyes, pale complexion.
Personality: Lex is known to have quite the fiery personality, she can be cocky, hotheaded, impatient, manipulative and sarcastic.
Strengths: Manipulative, lots of training, attractive.
Weaknesses: Naive, not the smartest, impulsive.

Backstory: Like many of the career kids Lex was born into a family obsessed with the Games. She was raised to believe the Games were her sole purpose in life, and her parents assured her she was destined to win and bring them fame and glory. Being an only child her parents provided her with all of their attention and put vast amounts of money into ensuring she received the best training possible. It was never a question of wether or not she would volunteer, but when. Every year since she turned 12 Lex was eager to volunteer and get into the arena, however, her family and trainer chose to wait until she was 18 so she would have the most training possible.

Lex's personality is not for everyone, she can be seen as overly confident and rude, no thanks to her prickly attitude and short fuse. In interviews and on screen however Lex plays to the hearts of the Capitol. Though still being her sarcastic and cocky self Lex professes her love for the games and advocates strongly for them making her name as the Capitols sweetheart. This of course does not win her many friends in the poorer districts.

"I'm fine with changing status quo but not in letting go-"

"now the world is getting torn apart"

Name: Axel Lee Zuckerman
Nickname: Prefers Axel, on rare occasions will he allow people to use his middle
Age: 16
Gender: Male, he/him pronouns
Sexuality: Straight, ace
District: 3

Appearance:
561680
Hair Style: Usually messy
Hair Color: Black/very dark brown
Eye Color: Blue-green
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: ~150 lbs

Personality:
"There's a difference between lonely and being alone."-
Axel keeps to himself, preferring to watch others from afar. He wouldn't consider
himself introverted but he isn't the type of guy who would go out of his way to talk to you.
Axel has a lot of one-way conversations to himself- most of them sarcastic or
judgey in nature. While he's not very talkative, his comments do come off as blunt,
which further pushes people away and leaves him more alone. Axel doesn't feel the
need to praise anyone as he thinks everyone has a few flaws, no matter who you are.
He keeps everything that is personal to himself as he doesn't like to share things
that could portray him as weak. Axel does sometimes wish for a friend of some kind
but all have moved on to bigger and better things. Now, he's left with himself.

"Alone comes from two words- all-one."
Axel isn't one to trust anyone so easily. He's learned to keep everyone at a distance,
mainly because you never know who's going to say something to a peacemaker.
His trust isn't easily won, as he often doesn't believe in others. He presumes that
everyone would leave, and thus he prefers to be alone.
Likes: Electronics, gadgets, coding, candy
Dislikes: The Reaping, The Games, unloyalty
Strengths: Creating small gadgets, knowing when to react, watching
Weaknesses: Doesn't trust well, not big on training

Backstory: Axel is the second child of Berta and Louis Zuckerman. He had one older brother,
who works in a factory a few miles away from home. Axel had friends when he was younger,
a few but enough to where he didn't feel lonely. There was a time before he became of Reaping age
where one of his friend's broke his friendship with Axel for him not being as talkative or as
high-strung as the others. Soon, many others thought that he was weird and broke off any
connections with him. Axel started working in a computer factory at fourteen, and worked well.
He worked at the same factory as his parents did, and it was expected that if he made it
past the Reaping, he would continue to work there.

Axel, like many others, hated the Reaping. He saw several of his "friends" picked, and
saw many of them fail. As time grew closer to the Reaping of the 74th annual Hunger Games,
Axel had to apply for tessera as his father died, and Axel and his mother needed more food.
And luckily for the Capitol, the escort drew out a card that had Axel Zuckerman written on it.

"A terrible catastrophe played by a symphony,"

"what a terrifying work of art."

Valentino Salvatore First Husband Father.jpg
District 9
Won the 42nd Hunger Games at age 16 using a sword, knife and brute strength
Current Age 47

Background: Grew up in small-ish family who mostly worked in the mills. Has one surviving sibling, a sister named Elvira, three children with twin grandchildren on the way. Only his youngest child is of reaping age and the 74th game will be the last time his boy will be eligible for it. His son's name was called but someone volunteered in his place. Val vows to do everything in his power to help this boy win.

Name: Philomena Stal (Maiden name: Cree)
Nickname: Mena, Black Widow
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Birthday: November 15th
District: 2
Likes: Singing, Poetry, Pretending the games don't exist,
Dislikes: Naivety, Arrogance, Loud Noises, The dark, Large Animals, being called black widow

Games: Philomena won of the 62nd Games when she was 17, using her strength and cunning to her advantage. Philomena volunteered for her games believing that there was no way she'd lose. In her mind it was the fact that she was from district 2 and a career, after all the games were made for people like her. When it finally came down to the games, she had made the normal alliance with the careers on top of an alliance she had made with her own district partner. The way both she and her partner saw it was the fact that the career alliance was a means to the end, and in the end the careers would turn on each other. In order to avoid this Philomena and her partner had decided that they would allow the others to help even their own odds by thinning the other tributes numbers before killing the rest of the career pack.

For the most part this plan worked, by the third night of the games there were 13 tributes alive and her partner believed this was the perfect time to execute their plan. That night her partner volunteered to keep watch for the night, no one thought much of it and went to sleep. Her partner waited almost 2 hours, making sure everyone was asleep before he and Philomena killed 6 careers in their sleep instantly bringing their numbers from 13 to 7.

Philomena and her partner decided to stay together until they reached the final 5, but she wasn't going to wait that long. For the most part she never exactly trusted him and as with the careers, he was also a means to an end to her. However he did trust her if only for the fact that since they were from the same district there was no way that no one from home could or would betray him. It had been roughly a day and a half before she poisoned her partner with berries she had found that morning, bringing the numbers to 5.

From that point on she relied on her stealth and cunning to find and kill whatever tribute got in her way of winning.

Backstory: Growing up Philomena was the youngest out of 5 children. For the most part she had relatively easy life living in district 2 and like most careers, she had grown up believing that competing in the games was one of the greatest honors anyone could have. She kept that belief with her even after her middle brother, Apollo, died in the games she was 11.

Apollo's death changed things in their family. For the longest she held on to the belief that he had only died because he was weak. Because he never paid attention in training. Because somewhere deep down he didn't want to win and come home to her and their family. She resented Apollo for dying in the games, because for the longest time she saw it as his fault and not the Capitol's. She noticed that her family never seemed enthusiastic about the games after his passing. She noticed her other siblings stopped really caring about training, and stopped talking about volunteering. Even mentioning Apollo's name for a time was almost like taboo.

Philomena, however, remained the exception. It was because of Apollo's death that she decided she would take her training seriously. She wasn't going to allow herself to die and tear her family apart more. So when she reached 17, six years after Apollo's death, she made up her mind and volunteered. She decided she would win for him. Philomena's parent's on the other hand were furious. At the time, she couldn't understand their anger. Why couldn't they understand that she could do this? She was stronger and smarter than Apollo ever was, and unlike him she had a desire to come home. She was going to win because she wanted it more than him. She was going to win because she needed to, she was going to win for Apollo.

However, it wasn't until she won did she finally understand. Each night after leaving the arena she couldn't help but feel sick to her stomach about what she had done. How many people did she take away from parent, sibling, friends? Even her own district partner, how could she ever go home now? She was a killer and she didn't even kill her partner because of a threat or necessity but simply because he was in her way of winning. The aftermath of the games had easily turned her from a confident, arrogant girl to someone who was shy and paranoid. It was after she got home and began the victory tour did she feel worse. Being home felt strange, like it wasn't even her home anymore. Each moment she couldn't help be paranoid, what if someone killed her out of revenge for their loved one? Or what if someone poisoned her like she did her partner? After winning her games she couldn't help but think that her brother was the lucky one who didn't have to 'enjoy' what winning had to offer.

Philomena let her money and fame help her and her family coast through life relatively easy. In the public eye she spent her money frivolously as if she didn't have a care in the world, it wasn't as if the citizens of the capitol wanted to see what a victor actually went through. They wanted to live in their naivety and believe that their victors were happy and Philomena was more than happy to buy into the lie after a while. Instead of drugging herself to the point she forgot her name, or drinking herself in a stupor, she used spending as her way of forgetting, that and she also used singing and poetry to escape her reality.

Today, Philomena is married and the mother of 2 with an 9 year old daughter named Persephone and a 7 year old son named Apollo. Her only goal is to make sure that her own children never have to experience the horror that games have to offer.

I changed my mind so here I am...

images-6-2.jpg

Name: Buck Pitwood
Age: 18
District: 10

Personality: If there was a single word to describe Buck then it would be bold. He makes his convictions known and he is not one to back down from a challenge. In fact, he even craves challenge and adventure. He lives for the adrenaline he gets from it, particularly when engaged, like his parents before him, in his chosen profession of cattle herding. He is quite experienced in it too, wanting to believe he has picked up an array of useful skills from it. He does also have a wild streak, making his sense of morality into something somewhat blurred.

Despite having an array of strengths he also bears significant weaknesses. He is not a strategist nor is he particularly intelligent. In fact, he barely stops to think about his next action at all. He is reckless and will jump into a situation no matter how hopeless if there's a chance that he can gain something from it. This has occasionally gotten him into trouble back home with the District Peacekeepers. However, it is usually for a good cause as he is known to risk life and limb for his own personal gratification, whether to help those in need or to sabotage the Capitol's efforts at keeping his District in check.

Despite everything it entails, to him, being reaped into the Hunger Games simply presents itself as yet another challenge for him to overcome. He knows there are no rules in the Capitol's game and much to his delight he intends to use that to his advantage. It is, after all, merely survival.
History: Buck was born the eldest son to a family of cattle herders in District 10. Residing in what is considered to be the third poorest District in Panem, life was rarely easy. The family had to work hard to feed themselves and with a total of seven mouths to fill it was a often considered a miracle if they managed to scrape by at all. The family did, after all, want to avoid taking Tessarae at all costs for everybody in Panem knew exactly what it meant: increased odds of being forced into the arena. They were successful for the most part. In fact, Buck even enjoyed learning the trade of his parents. It reminded him of the cowboys he had managed to read about in school.

Unfortunately, Tessarae was often an unavoidable reality for even the most fortunate among District 10's civilians. Like so many others the Pitwood family eventually fell on hard times. As the oldest son and also the strongest Buck was expected to carry the burden of his family. One by one he took out Tessarae for each of his siblings. This was a trend that continued for the past couple years. By the time he turned eighteen, his last eligible year, the odds were disproportionately not in his favour. Sure enough, on that dreadful day of the Reaping it was his name that was pulled, sealing his inevitable fate.

District 3 mentor
561712
Name: Tech Ashlock
Age: 24
District: 3
Likes: Technology, money, music, family.
Dislikes: Careers, idiots, birds.

Games: Tech was reaped into the 66th Hunger Games when he was 16 with many considering him to be an underdog. He received a relatively low score going into the games and had no training making him appear to be no threat. Knowing that he wouldn't be able to make it very far alone Tech did his best to get in with the careers, offering himself up as an expendable set of hands. The careers accepted his proposition figuring they would just get rid of him once he was no longer of use. Tech survived through the first few days of the Games by obeying all the orders barked at him by the Careers, however, as the numbers dropped he sensed that they were getting ready to
take him out and knew he had to act fast. Using his technological skills Tech set off an explosion killing 2 of the Careers while framing the other group of allied tributes in the arena. This triggered a bloodbath between the two groups and gave Tech the perfect distraction to slip away from the massacre. From there he let the remaining tributes fight it out until it came down to him and a girl from District 1. Once again putting his technological abilities to good use he set a trap which eventually led to him winning the Games.

Background: Tech's childhood was fairly average for a family living in District 3, his household consisted of his mother, father, and younger sister. They weren't any better or worse off than the families that surrounded them. Tech was a bright child taking a deep interest in the technological studies his District was known for, however never would he of expected he would be putting them to use in the Arena. He was a rather happy and humble kid, usually looking at the bright side of things and being thankful for his loving family, especially his little sister who he would give the world for. The games however changed Tech completely. As a victor Tech was showered in fame and money some of which went to his head. He developed a superiority complex as well as a cynical outlook on the world around him. In present day Tech will always assume he is the smartest person in the room and doesn't give anyone he considered unworthy the time of day. Other than visiting his parents and sister Tech mostly spends his days alone.

Name: Valour Drazen
Age: 20
District: 1

Personality: Previous to his games Valour was everything that one could expect from a passionate Career: proud, confident, and most of all obsessed with bringing honour and glory to himself, his family, and his District. Despite being an only child he was raised to love the Capitol and the games. It was a sort of tough love that had the boy training like most other prospective Career Tributes in the games. He was even enthusiastic about it. He was also arrogant, genuinely believing himself to be the best and greatest all thanks to constant buttering up by his parents and his trainers, thus worthy to win. He was eager to prove it.

Post-games Valour humbled significantly. The horrors of the arena were enough to change even the proudest and most arrogant of Careers, as his own legacy proved. He did not turn to substance abuse as is common with many Victors but he still has lasting memories of that time, most notably in the form of his District partner whom he was forced to kill by his own hand. He had grown fond of the beautiful girl and her blonde locks, thus misses her dearly. One of his hang-ups in mentoring is whether the Tributes received each year can live up to her as in his mind she is the quintessential Tribute. Aside from that single hang-up he no longer believes himself or anybody else to be invincible. He knows what the Games entail and is known to warn his own Tributes of it often. Due to his own charismatic nature he also does well to couch his Tributes in how to win over the Capitol crowds, particularly during the parade and interviews.

He is also a bit of a fashionista, not straying far from his District 1 roots. Due to a combination of good looks(in the Capitol's eyes at least) and a genuine love of their lifestyle he had quickly become a favourite among the Capitol crowds. He has become a bit of a model, occasionally showcasing some of the latest fashions for the Capitol's magazines.

History: Due to being an only child in Panem's wealthiest District Valour was often spoiled. His parents loved him dearly, almost as much as they loved the Capitol itself. While they worked they expected their son to begin training as a Tribute upon becoming of age. Naturally, he was thrilled. He wanted to become strong, showing that his District truly was the best one of all. Initially it was difficult due to his spoiled upbringing, but with some time and discipline he eased into the training. He began by initially experimenting with a different array of weaponry until finding his niche in archery. It was what he opted to specialize in.

Upon reaching his eighteenth birthday Valour became as eager as any to volunteer for the games. He had his goals, those that had been ingrained in him almost from birth. He simply could not let his family and District down now, thus he stepped up upon the stage in the 72nd Annual Hunger Games alongside his partner, Aurum Zianga. He was going to fight, but most of all, he was going to win.

Right from the beginning Valour proved himself to be a Capitol favourite. Not only was he the shining example of everything a Career Tribute was supposed to be, but it soon became evident that he possessed a degree of sex appeal as well. Both he and his partner were working out to be strong contenders for the Victor's throne by gaining a significant following. Both halves of the District 1 team fully embraced it and even retained the same attitude the minute they stepped into the arena.

The arena that year was a tropical paradise, one large main island surrounded by several smaller ones. One of the first remarks Valour had made to his partner upon taking in the sights of the arena was "it's beautiful, just like us."

The beauty of the arena was soon taken over by the ugliness of bloodshed, but the Career pack soon proved themselves strong. Along with Districts 2 and 4 the District 1 pair easily took the Cornucopia early on. Due to their knowledge of water the District 4 pair also proved themselves to be valuable allies, serving as the scouts of the Career pack. Overall, the pack remained fairly certain that few things could tear them apart. As the games wore on that remained an accurate observation. While the other Tributes were out and about the Careers remained firmly in place. It kept them safe...for a time.

The first casualties of the Career pack were the District 4 pair. Electricity, wielded by the District 5 boy and his allies, no less. The pair had been in the water when suddenly many volts of electricity began surging through their bodies. Only the girl had survived, frantically rushing back to the Career camp to warn the others. It was then she was finished off in an ambush by the District 11 girl, who was subsequently struck down herself by Aurum.

Needless to say the death of the District 4 pair left the rest of the Career pack on high alert. They remained wary to venture too far from the Cornucopia. It was a tactic that proved successful as eventually the rest of the Tributes were brought closer to them by a series of obstacles such as Mutts. All struck each other down in a duel of epic proportions, in what became known as the "Second Bloodbath". Only the careers remained, signalling the moment of fate where they would have to turn on each other. District 1 against District 2 and boy against girl, the final showdown began. By the end only District 1 remained. Valour was saddened to know that he would have to turn on the girl that he had grown to practically love, but such was business in the Hunger Games. She readied her swords while he readied his bow. It was time to say goodbye.

The last duel of the 72nd games was only short-lived. It did not take Valour long to gain the advantage of distance that would ensure his victory. Once he was positioned to do so, he allowed a final arrow to fly directly into Aurum's forehead. Almost immediately the final cannon blared, thus rendering him the Victor. He, of course, came out a changed and tainted man. He lived in a much darker reality than that he had previous to the games - a reality that was painted by the actions of violence and murder against other's children.

"Hear the sound of the falling rain, coming down like an Armageddon flame-"
561884
"a shame, the ones that died without a name."

Name: Ronan O'Brien
Nickname: Bri, and Ro on occasion; Hotshot
Age: 54
Gender: Male, he/him pronouns
Sexuality: Straight, bi-curious
District: 7

Appearance:
561886
Hair Style: Styled, as above, though sometimes he lets it do whatever it wants
Hair Color: Dark brown, but graying on the sides
Eye Color: Dark amber brown
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: ~160 lbs

Personality:
"Get busy living or get busy dying."
Ronan hates the Games and hates the Capitol with a burning passion. Though he doesn't
say anything about it, he holds resentment for what the Capitol does. He tells all of the
tributes he's mentored to do anything and everything possible and tries his best to give
the best of advice. Ronan tries to think analytically about things, sometimes in order to help
the tribute progress through the arena. He doesn't like to see things go against the tributes
and tries his best to help them out. He remembers being in their shoes and tries to treat
them as such. Ronan doesn't care about what happens to himself as much, as he sees
himself as just some guy. He hates seeing the puppets of the Capitol, with how they're polished
and unaware of how it is in the Districts. He tries to present himself as a stubborn and
stand-offish kind of person around many of the people he sees as a threat, but also as
a person who tries to stay out of trouble.

"Some birds aren't meant to be caged."-
He is kinder to the tributes he mentors. Ronan tries to figure out who this new kid is
and tries to make them feel more at ease. Many of them have mixed reactions
and he only hopes that he gains their trust. He is protective other the tributes
and tries his best to get them the best of care when they're within the arena.
Ronan can be rough sometimes, as he tries to also push the tributes to do their
best, but he means well in the end.

Backstory: Ronan is the second oldest son of Carver and Helen O'Brien. Ronan has
one older brother and two younger sisters. His parents introduced all four of them
to the lumber industry, and Ronan became very skilled at an ax. His father would sometimes
call him Hotshot and Ronan took pride in this. While him, his brother,
and father worked out in the field cutting down trees, his mother and sisters worked
in processing them. While District 7 wasn't exactly the poorest district, the family
wasn't the most successful. Ronan and his brother took out tessera to get enough food.
After a few years, Ronan was reaped at 18 for the 38th Hunger Games. The female tribute
was a girl named Lilly who was about two years younger than Ronan was.

His mentor had told the pair that they should show off their skills, and to see if
there were any among them that would make good allies. While Ronan preferred
just him and Lilly, but Lilly saw potential in District 5, 9, and 11. Ronan didn't show off
his skills with an ax, instead tried out other weapons -which he found some use
out of a bow and arrow- and tested out some other survival tactics. Lilly decided to show
off more of her skills with an ax, however.

The arena was a set in a desolate city with a forest slowly engulfing it. The cornucopia was
surrounded by several trees and many of the tributes slaughtered each other. Lilly and Ronan
managed to grab an ax each, and Ronan grabbed a backpack, and each killed one tribute
before they managed to escape the bloodbath. The career tributes (including District 4) and district 3
stayed close to the cornucopia. Lilly and Ronan caught up with the tributes from 11 and
they circled back around to the cornucopia. The male tribute from 11 saw a tracker-jacker nest
but while he climbed the tree to cut it off, the district 2 male tribute shot him down. Lilly and the female
from 11 started for the pack but Ronan fell back and went back into the forest. He stayed there a couple
of days until he met the female from District 9. At that point, there were ten people left: both tributes in District 1,
2's male, female in 4, District 5's tributes, District 8's female, District 12's male, and them.

District 9's tribute had set up a trap along one edge of the forest where a small pond was,
and she and Ronan agreed that if Ronan could cut down the tracker-jacker nest,
she could lure in of the other tributes into the trap. At nightfall, Ronan climbed up the
tree and cut the tracker-jacker nest, and the nest sent them running to the pond.
District 2's male and the District 4's female died of shock before the could reach the pond,
and while District 8's female had tripped Ronan threw his ax into her back. Ronan, unfortunately,
got stung twice, once in the neck and once in the arm, but it was fatal enough to kill him.
District 1's and 5's tributes died in the trap, and the tribute from 12 had gotten to the pond
before he died of the tracker-jacker sting. The last tributes left was 9 and 7.

The tribute from 9 tried to find Ronan. Before she could, she had found a bush of night-lock
she presumed was regular berries. As Ronan was waking up from the stings, the cannon went
off and he was labeled as the victor. He returned home to find that his brother and father
died in a lumber accident. Ronan, his mother, and sisters moved to Victor's Village. While
Ronan never married, his sisters found love and married, and now, Ronan has two nieces and
nephew.

District 10 Mentor
562232 Name: Hazel Locktree
Age: 21
Background: Hazel grew up on a farm with her father. They raised anything from chicken to pigs to sheep and occasionally cattle. Her mother died when she was little. Hazel and her father kept to themselves most of the time, though her father was known to play cards with some of the other men, and was often accused of cheating. He taught her everything from feeding the animals to tending to the births, to wrestling and branding the livestock. He also taught her to never give up.
Hazel didn't mind the hard work or being alone most of the time. Her dream was to escape the district and find some land far from the Peacekeepers and Capital, build her own farm from the ground up, but she knew that was an impossible dream, even for her.
Games: Hazel was only 15 when she was reaped. At first, she was sure she wouldn't make it but as she was parting from her father, he told her to make sure everyone remembered her name. She promised she would. Once in the Capital, she got to work. She pretended to be partly blind, hoping for a low score and perhaps a little sympathy before entering the games, but she'd grown up wrangling and wrestling livestock; she knew how to hold her own and even if she didn't do well in her weapons training, it wasn't hard to know you stick the sharp part in the other guy.
During the games, she stole weapons off the fallen tributes, set traps for the careers, and when it came time to battle, used every rock, branch, tooth and nail, to win. She honestly doesn't remember how she won the games and she doesn't want to remember. It's part of the past; she has the present to worry about. Now she keeps to herself during most of the year, helping her father with the livestock when he asks, and does what she can for her district's tributes, though none of them seem to have as much will to live as she would like.

Personality: Hazel will fight tooth and nail for what she wants and she does not have the patience for crying and cowardice, but she is also cool headed and is cautious of anyone who is too quick to fly off the handle. Careful planning and manipulating people's perceptions are her first line of defense, after that she isn't afraid to get her hands dirty.
