The sound of Tires screeching against damp pavement echoed through the vacant streets as a blacked out Camaro shifted from Park, into Drive and sped forward. The streets of the small neighborhood were quiet, and lifeless. Corpses laid on the side walk, some in the road. The black beast-like car made it's way down the street, before turning onto the highway heading towards Seattle.
Ethan gripped the steering wheel tightly, His dark eyes focused on the road as Prince sat in the passenger side. A soft whimper jolted Ethan from deep within his thoughts, back to reality. Prince stared at him, his chocolate brown eyes surprisingly comforting. Ethan reached over with one hand, gently massaging his cropped ear. "I know buddy, not much longer." Ethan spoke to Prince as if he were human, as if the massive white and grey speckled American Pit Bull Terrier understood what had happened to the world they once knew.. And perhaps he truly did.
With a heavy sigh Ethan pushed down on the black button with a soft blue glow, slowly rolling down Prince's window. In which the massive over-grown puppy shoved his large nose through the crack, breathing in the scent of pine, yet it wasn't just pine that filled the dog's lungs. Blood hung in the air like a shroud of death.
Alice'Springs car sputtered, and died outside one of the abandoned food markets. She cursee under herror breath, attempting to start the car yet it only sputtered and died again. She looked to Titus, who stared at her intently with his dark eyes. She grabbed her pistol from the center console, and slowly opened her door. She stepped out, Titus leaped out beside her. The chain around his throat jingled lightly, as he glanced around and began to sniff the ground. Alice threw the keys into the back of the car, and shut the car door. Carefully she approached the building, its door and windows boarded up. She gripped one of the loose boards and pried it off the building with a crack. She quickly wove herself into the building, Titus at her heels. She aimed her gun quickly, the building was quiet as she wove through the asiles carefully, looking for food, water, medicine, anything.
