Before the labels.


Before gay, straight, Bi-, or A-


I am sexual.


I am human, first.


Before Black, White, Asian, or Hispanic


I am human, first.


And it doesn’t matter the pace,


we are all running the human race,


and I am human, first.


Before Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, or Atheist


I am human, first.


Before paraplegic, quadriplegic, deaf, or blind


I am human, first.


Before drug addict, sex addict, or alcoholic


I am human, first.


Before fat.


Before tall.


Before skinny.


Before short.


Before ugly.


Before beautiful.


I am human, first.


I am human, first.


I am this mind,


this body,


this soul,


this heart.


I love.


I hate.


I want.


I suffer.
