Just finished something, hopefully it's good! I haven't watched any httyd stuff so I'm a bit rusty on the various locations.

No mentions on his dragon? Everyone currently on Dragons Edge has at least one dragon otherwise they weren't allowed to go in the first place. Most huts are also completed, so they'd have a map of the island itself already.

Well it's moreso a personal guide for him on dragon nests, fishing spots and other stuff that would/could be useful for him but still functions as a map.

And I've edited in a bit with his dragon.

Okay, but wouldn't his focus have been more on making himself a hut to sleep in? I mean, the others prob aren't gonna share and Rose wouldn't want him to permanently stay in the clubhouse while he's also there to 'extreme survival training'

I mean, I'd say it's safe to say that while everyone was building their hits - he would have too. So he was building his hut + exploring the woods, making the map/guide in his spare time as mentioned in the post.

So given everyone's scattered around the island, and the stables are in the middle of the island, where is his hut?

Somewhere near a wooded area in relative seclusion but still accessible to get to and from main areas.
