lowroar
the bitter, determined protagonist
Hey y'all!
New to RPN (clearly) but definitely not new to forum RPing. I've been at it for over ten years (woo I'm old) but haven't been active in the last few years because of "growing up" and attending to "adult matters" in my life, namely work. However, I've recently begun work in an office and now work a solid, regular schedule and I'd really love to get back into RPing now that I can manage my time on and off the clock reliably. So hello! I'm excited to be venturing back into the wild, colorful world of RP.
About me personally: I'm 24, and I'm gay married to my husband (who else!?), a man I've been seeing/in love with for over five years. I don't know if anyone on here is really put off by LGBT people, but it's important to me to make friends and writing partnerships with people who are cool with that. I live in the southwestern United States and work midday shifts from 11am-8pm my time, so that means I'll likely be more active either in the late morning or late at night for folks back east (folks in other countries must be used to weird reply times from Americans I'd reckon!). My demeanor tends to be more positive, but I'm prone to kvetching here and there. I really like to chat with my RP partners, and enjoy an active OOC chat as well as an active main story/plot thread.
As far as my RP style goes, I prefer to RP with semi-lit/lit RPers, but not the type who are ostentatious and overload their posts with unnecessary "junk" sentences to simply plump up the paragraphs. I don't mind either way about graphics, but admit it's fun to make visual boards for character aesthetics and I LOVE people that can draw their OCs.
Genres: science-fiction/dystopian/post apocalyptic are always a ton of fun for me. Urban fantasy with a slice of life vibe. High fantasy with a fight a dragon vibe. Drama/romance. I love to have LGBT characters and themes included but I'm not really looking to RP "the yaoiz" with heterosexual women haha.
I greatly prefer RPing with OCs but I love putting OCs into fandom settings (husband and I were considering a Tales of Zestiria type setting for an RP for example). I don't know that there are any fandoms that I COULD RP the in-universe characters, I'll be real...unless maybe if it was Sonic characters ? I cut my teeth on Sonic RPs!
As for group vs 1x1? I like them both but admittedly prefer groups. I love how vibrant and varied they are.
Anyway, that's a little bit about me. ? Thanks for checking out my intro...I hope to RP with the lot of you soon.
