Items
-Daggers: Fine steel daggers, gifted to her by an adventurer party a while back for her birthday.
-Sun Amulet: An amulet with a summoning spell imbued into it, originally found in a dungeon. It allows the wearer to summon a small wind elemental drake, maintained by the user's ether. The amulet seems to house the creature's consciousness. The drake is able to fire gusts of wind, play sounds and fly around carrying light objects, but it is also quite frail and not easily befriended.
-Cleaning Rags: Ordinary cleaning rags. She always has some on her.
-Hooded Cloak: A simple cloak she often wears, with a hood with holes for her ears.
Personality
Dansa is quite a people pleaser, and good at it too. In constantly striving for that goal, she has become both very adaptable and very attentive, picking up on a lot of small details to learn about people and situations, and promptly adapting to look as good to them as possible. If someone has a type of person they'd like to see or speak to at the time, that's what Dansa will aim to be for them. While this isn't something she is explicitly going to confirm, it is not something she denies either, as not saying it is something she wants to come across as more part of the act, when in fact she is quite open about what she is doing. Her cunning and proactiveness certainly help make this successful as well, though being so concerned about what people think of her and being so self-conscious on top of that is not an easy combination to live with. She cares about what she looks, but only because she cares so much about what people think...
Indeed, her fears drench into even more of her life. While she is someone who loves gossip and finds teasing and pranks quite amusing, she holds back on the latter as much as she can to avoid making anyone upset. In fact, she has developed an extremely chill and laid back attitude, one who perhaps too quickly lets go of grudges and goes along with things too easily. She trusts quickly, is cheerful and acts very active and excited regardless of how she may or not be feeling, and has a seeming unending amount of patience.
Her kindness is nothing to scoff at either. She's someone who goes out of her way to try to help people as much as she can, though she can certainly be more reasonable about this than when it comes to what she's willing to tolerate. Her kindness extends to animals as well, as she has grown quite a bit of empathy for them after having been a dog for three weeks. Speaking of, some behaviors from when she was a dog still remain, uncontrollable urges. Rather than trying to fight them, she decided to play along with them to make the situation seem less dire and blur the lines.
Backstory
Dansa's family is one of inkeepers, mainly from her mother's side who had several generations of inkeepers. She was a kind and helpful child, who saw how much work her mother had to do managing the inn practically by herself, and thus decided she wanted to help (though it would be a while before she would be allowed to do anything more than "hold the sign" or "go wake up those nice guests"). The reason for this was that her father was frequently absent with another job he did to help support the inn. When he was around, he was frequently exhausted too, but on occasion he stayed for some big event at the inn and she got to spend some quality time with him then, but even so he always felt like a more distant presence in her life.
On top of this, the life of an adventurer can be dangerous. Though recent advances made it far easier for beginners, at the time it wasn't uncommon for an adventurer party to go into a dungeon and never come out again. As the daughter of an inn for adventurers, she had to get quickly acquainted with the notion that anyone she grew close to could easily be someone whom she'd never see again. For some this would be cause to not grow close to people, and so her mother tried to help her avoid that mindset by showing her how important bonds were, teaching her about becoming close to people even if they might get hurt... Unfortunately, the message was taken to more strongly than intended. Dansa grew to dread the thought of being hated, rejected, abandoned... She always worried about what she was doing wrong if someone didn't like her, and this made her become increasingly self-conscious and having a hard time socializing or saying no to things.
The window out of this was the first friend her own age she made, Yuna. After failing over and over again to make friends due to getting too self-conscious to speak to them, she finally managed to gather the courage to ask to join Yuna as she played. The success and growth of this friendship helped Dansa understand the need to be pro-active, though she pretty much always went along with whatever Yuna wanted anyway, as the last thing she wanted was to accidentally anger her closest friend.
Everything was going somewhat well, until the day Yuna wanted to show her an invention she'd made based on her sigil. Dansa was quite curious about this as well, but when she tried the device something went wrong. Dansa saw her clothes, no everything seeming to expand around her, and by the time she managed to even react the spell was over and all she could say was "bark". Everyone panicked at the incident, at first trying to keep it under wraps but the truth would come out sooner or later. Yuna's parents helped search for someone outside of town while Yuna herself searched for someone in town who could help. Dansa's own father was absent at this time, while her mother had to keep the business going while also trying to make sure her daughter-turned-canine was alright, or as alright as she could be. Fortunately, Yuna was able to find a kind stranger, an adventurer who agreed to help Dansa.
Naturally, such an incident had ramifications. For one thing, Dansa's body didn't truly return to what it was, having left her with animalistic ears and tail, as well as a pair of sharpened fangs. The experience of being a dog for three weeks, plus the permanent changes to her body left her unable to shake off some of the instincts she found innate to that body (though to what extent they were truly innate or the product of the spell, she doesn't know). It wasn't easy at first, as people couldn't quite adjust to the sight right away, even if they tried to be kind. Being made fun of wasn't uncommon either, nor was people being weary. This further drove home her fears, exarcebatting her need to appeal to people and the lengths she would go for it. More than anyone, she was shook by the rift that developed between her and Yuna, and thus sought desperately to reconcile with her, until she finally managed to do it.
As things began to calm down on that front, Dansa could refocus a bit towards her initial goals. She joined the inkeeper's guild and has worked for them and her mother since. During their early days working, her and Yuna met Cornelia, and recently Dansa has even found that Yuna may have a crush on the boy. She believes that perhaps, if she can make their relationship work out, this could help close that rift between her and Yuna at long last.
Sigils
*Sigil of Cleaning- Passed down from the inkeeper's guild, this sigil contains cleaning skills and techniques. Her tutor's mottos "A Clean Room Makes a Clean Soul" and "Expand your Cleaning Horizons" are quite visible in the cleaning techniques including magic for other forms of cleaning, namely purification of food and the air, thus removing poisons or toxins.
*Sigil of Peacekeeping- Inherited from her mother, this was originally a sigil used by the guards of ambassadors or messengers. The sigil conducts one's magic towards spells to diffuse hostility, for instance calming people, making the user appear more friendly, or establishing a ceasefire area within which intentional violence is blocked.
Relationships
Robberick Wilde - Her father. He was often away during a large part of her childhood, but he stopped doing that shortly after the dog transformation incident. While both are nowadays a bit clingy towards each other, there remains an unspoken distance between them, and Dansa knows her father isn't being 100% honest with her. He has a carpenter sigil and built some of the best furniture they have in the inn.
Hilda Wilde - Her mother. A confident woman capable of scaring some of the adventurers even. The way she kept everything under control despite the rowdiness of adventurers and the absence of Dansa's father was one of the many reasons for the girl to come to admire her mother and to wish to pursue inkeeping as well. Hilda has a cleaning sigil and a peacekeeping sigil, like her daughter, and while not formally so she is generally viewed as the head of the inn.
Yuna - Dansa's childhood friend, and perhaps the first friend she truly got along with. Because of the dog transformation incident, however, their relationship was strained for a while, and the scars of that time still remain. Dansa has yet hopes they can bring things back to how they used to be.
Cornelia Greatshield - The son of two corn farmers with a strained land that didn't yield many crops, this man is Yuna's current crush. He met her while they were watching a dungeon streaming, and after hearing about him and realizing perhaps before even Yuna herself that she had feelings for Cornelia, Dansa went to investigate him and stroke a friendship with him as well. Sometimes she kind of feels he treats her like a little girl though, and she finds this a little embarrassing coming from him, considering their proximity in age and how he is her friend's crush (also how easily he resorts to petting Dansa).
Mr.Bureaou - A gentleman who retained his manners, attire and cryptic laugh that always leaves one uncertain of his actual mood or reaction, from the days when he served the local lord, before being fired by the youngest son and later refusing to return to the lord's service due to the affront. He is Dansa's tutor in inkeeping, and one who is quite strict but also kind to her, and always has a word of advise whether called for or not.
(Unknown) - Some time ago, an unknown adventurer helped to fix Dansa's transformation into a dog. Due to what he did for her and later disappearing without so much as a reward, Dansa was left with a deep sense of admiration and gratitude for him which she one day hopes to be able to properly express to him.
Downstream Wolves - A rustic group of carefree adventurers, whose attitude hides their actual great deal of preparations and great strategy. Despite how relatively young they are, and having proven to be a quite adventurous party, they have also been the surviving party Dansa has known for the longest time. They formed when she was small, and in their eyes her growth and theirs are almost bonded, so they have often been the most supportive of her in the inn and even helped during the dog incident.
Terrant, the Hellmonger - An enormous man with long unkept hair a dark coat and a somber expression, always seeing drinking a small glass at the inn or a bar, usually in some dark corner. He is an infamous slayer of many monsters, and inspires terror among many. He is also one of the kindest and most responsible adventurers to have ever frequented the inn, in fact his drink is usually some kind of juice. He worries too much to be good with words (especially with how many misunderstandings he tends to cause, when for instance he helped someone give birth and so shows up with blood still dripping from his coat), especially with his medicine sigil, but Dansa has long since learned of the sweet side of him and tries to offer him companionship, something he deeply cherishes.
Lim and Lan, the magnificent duo- Two bards whom Dansa used to love as a child, and who frequently visit the tavern. Their songs are often thinly veiled in how they are based on gossip, providing frequent fresh material for a duo with loud voices and a strong sense of humor, but not so much a sense of caution or boundaries.
Narira - A beastmaster adventurer, animal enthusiast, and one of the few people that genuinely can get Dansa to flee the room on sight. That being said, Dansa can't quite bring herself to hate the woman as she was one of the first people to help ease people's worries about her after the dog incident.
Townsfolk - Dansa is the type that tries to get along with pretty much everyone. Sometime dislike her for this fact alone, but for the most part she is effective and thankfully her town is small enough that she is on good terms with just about everyone within her reach, especially the adventurers who frequent the inn.
Other Abilities
*Enhanced Senses- She has an enhanced sense of hearing and smell.
Skills/Talents
*Cooking- Though she can't compare to someone who has an actual cooking sigil, cooking was one of the easiest tasks to learn as an inkeeper. She is able to cook delicious meals, even out of unexpected ingredients.
*Scouting- Her enhanced senses, trained by the search for gossip, and attentive nature make her something for a competent scout.
*People Person- While there may be instances where feelings are too tangled for her, her attentiveness and experience dealing with many kinds of people helped grow a strong intuition for what people might like, want and so on, knowledge she uses to try to stay in everyone's good graces.
*Animal Handling- Having spent three weeks as a dog, she grew a certain empathy and understanding towards them. This later developed into an interest and empathy for animals in general.
Ambitions
1.Fixing the rift between herself and Yuna
2.Succeeding her parents as an inkeeper

Name: Yuna Bennett Age: 21 Gender: Female Wealth Status: Decent Occupation: Transmutation magic student; part-time teacher Appearance:
Yuna is a young, well-endowed woman with a decently proportioned body. She is slightly taller than average at 5’7 and weighs 140lbs. Yuna’s eyes are grayish-red, contrasting with her pale blue hair, which reach well past her shoulders and which she either lets down or ties in a loose ponytail. Her complexion is naturally quite pale, but she has a slight tan from her outdoor activities.
Yuna prefers loose and baggy clothes, occasionally donning long, flowy robes. She enjoys big, pointy hats, with large brims, which she usually wears together with a pair of glasses. Most of her clothes are in subdued shades of purple. When dressing for either warmer seasons or social gatherings, Yuna likes choosing more well-fitting clothes and doesn’t mind showing her legs and a bit of cleavage. Regardless of the setting, she prefers shoes on a more practical side. Yuna doesn’t wear jewelry and prefers subtle make up, which she applies with meticulous care. She also carries her magical staff everywhere with her.
Yuna’s clothes are always well-kept and clean, and she never leaves her house without taking care of her looks. She walks quickly and energetically. Despite being relatively young, Yuna has a calming and uplifting presence to her, giving the impression she is older than in reality. Her juniors and peers often say that Yuna gives off an older sister vibe.
Personality:
Yuna is a calm and mature person, especially for her age. She has a positive air about herself, rarely showing any signs of anger, staying respectful to others and boasting a cheeky sense of humor, especially liked by children. Yuna likes helping others, and she is quick to compliment and encourage. She prefers to avoid outright negative feedback, doesn’t like blaming others and downplays their mistakes. She is quick to forgive and doesn’t hold grudges. Yuna will always offer a word of advice, if asked for it, and enjoys the successes of others. She maintains a positive outlook on matters and it’s not easy to throw her off balance.
Yuna is extremely fond of plans and planning. She likes to meticulously organize her days, she is always on top of her schedules, never comes late or misses a deadline. Her everyday rituals are a source of comfort and make her feel secure and relaxed. She doesn’t like compromising her plans for others.
Yuna is known to be a very responsible person. She carries out her duties diligently and prioritizes her obligations over fun any time of the day. Yuna’s strict adherence to guidelines and warnings, especially in regards to magic, is recognised by her teachers (and sometimes mocked by her colleagues). She is unlikely to break promises. Yuna’s responsibility extends also to more serious situations - when faced with tough life situations, she is not likely to waver. She will also put the safety of others above her own. She will take a leadership position, but only if she thinks there are no other choices.
Beneath the positive exterior, Yuna is a more withdrawn and introverted person. In her free time she is more likely to choose cloud watching or reading over social gatherings. While she is not unwilling to talk to strangers, she doesn’t like small talk and struggles to make new, closer friends. She can be aloof, self-centered and unsympathetic at times, and she doesn’t put in a lot of work to sustain relationships she doesn’t care about. When under pressure, she also has a tendency to push people away from her and try to find a way to solve problems on her own. She generally prefers to rely on herself, rather than on others.
Yuna’s plans are an unconscious counter to her feelings of insecurity and almost irrational fears of failure. She doesn’t like when she is losing control over even most casual situations and she detests sudden, uncontrollable changes in her life. This can sometimes lead to her behaving in a stubborn or sentimental way, as she seeks stability and is unlikely to let go of it. Yuna can also play up her small fears to the point of irritating people around her, as she prefers avoiding even the smallest risks.
Despite Yuna’s best efforts, events of her childhood still weigh on her. She is easy to doubt her skills, when faced with failures and desperately wants to feel useful to people around her. She has also come to hide her true feelings from everyone and she rarely speaks from her heart, even to those who would seem to be her confidants. She has trouble forgiving herself for her childhood mistakes and she’s furious at herself for that.
Yuna’s subdued teen years have left her starved for romantic attention. Right now, she is quite actively looking for a life partner and she puts a lot of effort into it. She tends to overplan her romantic interactions and tries to tackle husband-finding with a lot of thinking and planning, usually to the detriment of it. When she decides to make a move, she is not afraid to make it though. Yuna enjoys guys’ attention on her person and enjoys dressing in ways that attract attention of opposite sex. She is however more interested in finding a permanent partner, rather than a passing love.
Yuna will only fight in self defense, avoid lethal takedowns and she would be incredibly distraught if she took human life.

Backstory:
Back in her childhood years, Yuna used to be a highly energetic girl, who would never stop talking about whatever she had on her mind. And that was - mostly - dungeons and adventures. Yuna was fascinated by the prospect of traveling into unknown lands, fighting monsters and becoming a powerful warrior. Or mage, rather. She had spent a lot of her time making dungeons out of building blocks and acting out scenarios from her head. Her doll - Sage, a wise and strong mage - was a heroine in those stories and Yuna’s proxy in the world of adventuring.
She had no trouble making friends back then and one of those was Dansa - a shy and introverted girl, whose parents run an inn. Over time, they had become best friends, with Yuna’s bubbly personality rubbing off on Dansa a little.
Back then, Yuna adored using her sigil. She mastered it at a young age and took no small amount of pleasure in turning into various animals and running around the town. Her enthusiastic application of it led to a fatal mistake though - one fateful day, she had attempted to use her sigil on Dansa, to turn her into a dog. This has however not worked correctly and Dansa found herself stuck in a dog form, to Yuna’s horror.
When even Yuna’s grandmother was unable to help, the situation seemed quite dire. After spending initial days in shock, Yuna had gotten her act together and started helping Dansa’s parents in finding help. She spent three weeks pestering wanderers, until she finally managed to find an adventurer capable of helping Dansa. And while they managed to revert most of the transmutation, certain aspects of it still remained, forever reminding Yuna of her childhood mistakes.
Next couple years have been hard for Yuna. The guilt of hurting her friend has taken a lot out of her and drove a wedge between the two friends. It was mostly Dansa’s effort, who kept this relationship working through those years. Matters were not helped by bullying that both girls have been subjected to - Dansa was made fun of because of dog features, and Yuna was shunned for causing the accident.
Despite her family’s support, Yuna started having a slew of personal problems. She became withdrawn, started having troubles connecting with others and had troubles learning, with the situation weighing on her mind. This caused her problems in school - her grades deteriorated and the only subject she was not hopeless at was, ironically, magic. And while her prowess in the arcane grew, she has vehemently opposed using her own sigil.
Over a couple recent years, Yuna’s life has started turning for the better. She has managed to graduate school and was accepted into the mage guild, which has turned out to be her calling. Under the tutelage of her master, Yuna’s proficiency in magic has quickly grown and she started feeling more confident about herself again.
Yuna’s reputation as a hard-working, responsible and kind person started to clear up the air around her, as events of the dog incident were moving further and further into the past, Nowadays, Yuna is a studying the transmutation and on the path to becoming town’s magician, while she also teaches children basics of magic on the side.
Relationships:
Danse Wilde - Yuna’s childhood friend and best friend. The dog incident, while far away in the past, still weighs on that relationship. Yuna is never fully relaxed around Dansa and is uncomfortable when Dansa’s dog-like traits are played up.
Cornelia Greatshield - a long standing crush of Yuna’s. For quite some time now, she thinks she would like to settle down with him, though she had made no serious effort in that direction.
Nicholas Bennett - Yuna’s father. Local blacksmith, a rather serious and reticent man. He has imposed a lot of rules upon Yuna in her youth and instilled upon her the importance of hard work and self-discipline. Their relationship has been growing closer recently, as Yuna started appreciating his craftsmanship more.
Claire Bennett - Yuna’s mother. A kind housewife and local gossipmonger. Has surrounded Yuna with a lot of love and care after the dog incident. Is into streaming, to Yuna’s dismay. Used to study magic, but dropped out from guild.
Ayana Walter - Yuna’s grandmother and favorite family member. She had initially implanted Yuna with her adventurous streak and passed down the transmutation sigil onto her. Ayana blames herself for the dog incident and Yuna hates this fact.
Amestris Delestre - Eccentric alchemist, who arrived at town a couple years ago and who doubles as a transmutation expert in the mage guild. Yuna’s master, who granted the girl her mage sigils. Always smiling. When asked what she was doing before arriving there she answers: “War crimes :>”.
Townsfolk - Yuna is very fond of the town in general. The dog incident is mostly in the past and Yuna tries her best to be seen as kind and responsible, these days. Her positive attitude, combined with good looks and being good around children, make her popular around mothers looking to marry their sons off.
Bullies - Yuna is not one to hold grudges. Most of them turned out fine adults, though she feels no need to maintain closer relationships with any of them.
Skills/Talents:
Gardening - Yuna is fond of plants and likes taking care of them. She has an extensive knowledge about flora of her hometown.
Arcanist - Yuna has spent a large portion of her life studying magic and has taken particular liking to the art of the arcane.
Sigils:
Sigil of Animal Shapeshifting - passed down in Yuna’s family, this sigil allows for temporary transmutation into other vertebrates. Transforms clothing too. A little sketchy, hence the dog incident.
Sigil of Basic Arcane - passed down in mage guild. Contains fundamental knowledge of the Arcane as well as a couple of more advanced techniques. Popularly referred to as “Mage’s Toolkit”. A bit bloated, nobody really knows everything that it does.
Sigil of Inanimate Transmutation - passed down in mage guild. Contains knowledge about transmutation of matter and inanimate objects.
Other Powers/Abilities:
Enchanter - Yuna possesses basic knowledge about magical items.
Miscellaneous magic - over her education, Yuna has touched on various subjects of magical knowledge.
Streaming trivia - while Yuna dislikes streaming, knowing a lot about it lets her find small talk topics easier.
Items:
Mage staff - a pretty ordinary, wooden staff. Yuna imbued it with the ability to fly on low altitudes and to come back to her when called.
Glasses - Yuna doesn’t actually need glasses, she just likes how they look.
Candy - always has some on her. Considered a strategic resource, when dealing with children.
Notebook and pencil - you never know when inspiration for a new spell hits.
Other:
serves as a repair woman for minor magical items (because no one else wants to do this)
has slapped a guy in the face in public and refused to elaborate.
when nobody sees her she dances like she is the hottest thing since Sun.
writes (shit) poetry about boys she likes.
likes to hide when she is reading (usually under her favorite tree)
