How do you create a character sheet for a RP?

Hello, I'm Crimson Lionheart and I'm new to this site.


I'm looking to create a character sheet for a RP that I've been looking to create, but I'm unfamiliar with the methods on how to do so. Looking around the site, everything seems to be hyper organized. I'm just wondering how to utilize something like this for any future experiences, such as creating an OCC and so forth.

Well, at first, there's usually three to four tabs when you first create a roleplay; RP Overview, IC Roleplay, Character Sign Up, and Out of Character. You can add more tabs if you would like though.


A character sheet is what you fill out to create a character for a roleplay. It usually has the basic info such as the name, age, gender, and so on. The way it's set up is completely up to you. Some authors even allow the players to tweak the CS.


For starters, use the usually copy and paste method. Just type out the character sheet and the players have to copy and paste to fill it out.

Gender:


Age:


Personality:


History:


Other:


Of course, you can add or remove whatever to suit your roleplay. It's really up to you and what you want to know about the character before deciding to accept them. You can also use the character sheet to subtly help the player develop their character by providing questions for them to answer.

Thank you, not exactly sure where any of these are located however. I've looked inside of the Roleplay area but there is no option to create a new thread in the CS section.

You can't create a new thread, threads are the pages themselves. I meant tabs, as in the tabs that are the RP Overview and so on. If you want to create tabs in the post, you can use the tab BBCode, which can be found in the list of BBCodes: http://www.rpnation.com/help/bb-codes

What do you mean by putting something in the character section in the roleplay tools?


If you look on the top of your roleplay, you will tabs with the names that Pai has previously listed. You may click on the Character Sign-Up sheet, and that will take you to the CS section of your roleplay. If you click the Edit button on that first post, you may then delete that content and edit in your CS.


Unless you mean making a character within our Showcase section, which is a different system all together.
