How do I fix this?

Earlier I was PMing my friend in a group pm using my smartphone, and while I tried messaging an image of a dress I wanted her to see, I accidentally ended up sending her this obnoxiously long link to the photo. I couldn't edit the message in time to fix it (my phone had issues copying and deleting the text) and I am concerned about accidentally spamming /:


Is there any way at all that users can delete messages if we can't edit them? Is this mistake something I should be concerned about?

I can't say for sure what happened with the image ending up being a link, but... unfortunately, in PMs, the ability to edit a message expires after five minutes and there is no way to delete what you've sent. The good news, though, is that you don't have to worry about spamming when it comes to PMs. Unless you're flooding someone's inbox with messages they don't want, then you should be fine. So anyway, none of it is your fault, no worries there!
