Info How did I do it?

So apparently I started typing on my laptop and then got onto my phone, and the draft was still there and I didn't have to start over.

I know people were wondering before the update how to do this so that they wouldn't have to start drafts over. How did I do it? Any ideas?

It could be that you are signed in on the same browser on both of your devices. That is the only way I have experienced this, at least.

I believe it has always worked like this - at least, since the update, and possibly before (can't remember, but I'm pretty sure there was something like this several months ago too, possibly when this was still on XenForo). I just checked to be sure: I used the RTE on my mobile Chrome browser, then logged in on my desktop Firefox, and my draft text was still available.

As far as I can tell, this is because the RTE periodically sends out an AJAX request to save your post server-side, so it doesn't matter what device or what browser you use - it'll always fetch the last version. That's my understanding of it at least.
