How come I can't upload a picture?

Trying to put a picture in the comments of a status update but it keeps saying the upload has failed, followed by the number "-200". The picture is 3.6 mb, but it says there's a 97.66 mb limit, so this should be no problem. What am I doing wrong or not understanding? Coach me

There shouldn't be an upload thingy if you're just posting it as a link into the text box.  Try seeing if it'll work as a PM and send it to me.  I'd ask for a screenshot, but since it's an image issue that might not work, haha.

Ah.  I'm not very familiar with posting it that way.  You might have to upload it directly to RPN's gallery first.  Have you been able to upload pictures like this before or is this the first time you've attempted it?

First time. But I've seen other people do it with picture and video, too. OOH. I'm gonna tag them and see if they'll help @Laughing Jack/MTMM How do you do this? Are you doing this on a phone? Can you teach me?

@AThiefOfSpades I've done it on a phone and on my computer, both times I've had no problem. I did it the same way as you, so I have no idea why yours isn't working.. Sorry, I'm not very useful. X-X

The image is too big. Even though it says a max 97.66MB size, in reality individual images can't exceed a certain limit a lot lower than that. Like @Fyuri said, you can upload it to RPN's gallery then import it from there.

What type of file is it? 


(I think Rpn has issues with some file types occasionally)

No idea. It probably varies.

The site's gallery is a place for image hosting, which is why we recommended it.
