How Are You?

It's Sunday morning, I'm in bed hungover and freezing cold. My house is not built for these kinds of temperatures. However, i'm in fine spirits. How are you? Want to talk about something? Get something off your chest? Or maybe just chat. Go for it! I'm going to make a cup of tea and nurse this headache away.

Hello Cu ( :) )

My house is cold too, though not because it's not built to hold heat. My mom is the one controlling the thermostat at all times, and she apparently finds comfort in strange temperatures ( :P )

Other than that, I've been doing pretty well. Been messing around with BBCode, playing games, and generally having a good time... Except at work. The past couple of days haven't been too great there. but I won't go into that now. Positivity is, uh... Something. Yeah. It's an important thing, probably.

And I'm finally starting to feel better after almost a month of being sick with a cold. I wish I could append 'It feels like' to the end of that, but in all honesty it has been a month. While I'm fairly sure I got it after my system after the first week, the symptoms persisted to varying degrees up until now. Bleh.

Anyway, just thought I'd contribute somehow (^.^) Did it work?

Ah no thermostat in our house. Just central heating which takes an age to start and get the house warm. -3C when I woke up. Coldest day we've had so far. I'm not built for that.

BBcode. I hate BBcode. Much prefer HTML but I don't think that's as universally accessible...

As for sickness. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. Nothing work than a lingering illness. Could try the age old Irish cure for all illness: flat 7up and chicken soup. It's the bomb.

Thanks for contributing! It's nice to have a place just to vent.

Ah. Yeah, I can see how that can get annoying.

I believe somebody asked about using HTML before, a while ago. I can't remember exactly why, but if I remember right BBCode was created as a substitute for HTML on forums because of some kind of incompatibility between them or something. Don't quote me on that :/ The thing I'm fiddling with is getting to the point where the RTE is trying to help out every once in a while, which is my real problem.

I wish I had either of those xD Though my parents did go to the store last night, so we might.

You're welcome ( :) ) I'm glad I could help out.

Hello dear!

I'm sorry to hear about your hangover. Was it worth it?

I remember those days. Though due to random allergies popping up I can no longer partake as I'm now allergic to caffeine and alcohol. (The two worst things in the world to be allergic to.)

I'm doing well. Just now getting over a rough bout of pneumonia.

On a happy note, we thought we were going to have to put our dog down due to some medical complications, but she'd recovering quite well, so I'm happy to report that she'll be with us for a while longer :) (She's a ten year old pitbull. She's getting up there, but good lord is she adorable.)

Aside from that, things are fairly boring around here. Just finished Christmas shopping...so there's that. Now I just have to wrap everything, and I'm absolutely awful at that part.

Well, as a high functioning alcoholic it takes me a lot to get drunk, and therefore a lot to get hungover. So in one sense yes it was worth it, in the other my wallet is now crying.

Oh ouch pneumonia, that sounds nasty. I'm surprised I've never gotten it living in this country. Rain, rain, rain, rain so on so forth :(

Ohh happy, I love dogs. Dogs are the best. What's her name?

Oh lord, do not get me started on Christmas shopping. I couldn't be arsed right now with college, but if I don't soon nothing will have arrived in time. First world problems I guess.

Ah, I used to be able to drink a ton before my allergies kicked in. Now I can't drink at all for fear of anaphylactic shock. So...that stopped it for me. Lol.

Where do you live? I'm in the US, and due to weak lungs, I get it at least twice a year. I once got it in the middle of summer time O.o My doctor said it was "ridiculous". Lol.

Yeah. She's my sweet girl. Her name is Freja. We got her from the humane society when she was three years old. She was my husband and I's first joint purchase. We'd been together for like six months when we got her. :)

This is her at birthday party a few years ago. She was around 6 or 7 when that was taken.

Ah...yeah...I'm in school too. My husband just graduated.

Can I ask what you're going for?
