. welcome to my search .
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve roleplayed some romance, so I’m in the market for some partners to write with.
I am an experienced writer (though obviously no BBCode master) and would like for my partner to be literate and write a bit more at length. My posts can go from a couple of paragraphs to 1400-1600 words, so I’m not afraid of something a bit more than casual or rather heavy in detail or development. I do not mind the gender of my partner’s character, however, I am only interested in writing female for these. I’m perfectly comfortable with a fxf or mxf pairing in any of the scenarios (though some plots may be written mxf, if you want a fxf for it, we can probably make it work).
I don't only write in a thread. I can do threads, discord, email, etc.
These are some pairings and plots I've thought of. They're all intended to take place in modern day, however I am fine with mixing genres! Any ideas are welcome, though, so if you have a pairing that's not here, let me know.
I've marked an asterisk (*) for plots/pairings I'd like to do. Anything italicized is what I'm craving. Preferred roles in each scenario are bolded in color. :
I prefer interests received over PM, but comments below are ok

These are romance plots. As I am over 18, myself, anyone interested in a romance RP needs to be, too. If you’re less than 18, but wanted to write a realistic/modern RP, feel free to message to see if there are any ideas we can get going that would be more platonic for us.
>I don't do fandoms.<
We aren’t perfect, so I don’t expect you to reply once a day. I may not even be able to do that. Just if you can, try and let me know whenever you’ll take longer than a week. Life happens, y’know.
I like OOC to get acquainted with my partner to keep the chemistry mutually beneficial to help marry our ideas and writing styles.
If you find you don’t have time anymore to continue the RP, let me know.
If you become disinterested, let me know.

Breath Of Fresh Air
Muses A and B, two past acquaintances/friends sign up for the same camping retreat. It takes people to reservations where someone can enjoy nature without it being interrupted by car traffic or packed with people. Muse A, a bit on the shy side, always enjoyed being outside and knew some things about camping, but never had the opportunity to officially go. She didn’t consider the heavily tourist-stenched spots where she lived to be an actual experience. Most of the places there had cabins (and Muse A does not mind glamping), but she wanted the type of experience Muse B has had a bit more of. The two naturally hit it off at the opening bonfire night, deciding after the events leading up to tonight lead them to wanting to be open to working together to make the best of things that they should pitch tents in the same area. The retreat is only a short-term break from the hustle and bustle of life, but it’s enough time for Muses A and B to feel the beginnings of love taking hold of them.
Not According to Plan *
A baby was the worst case scenario for Muse A. Like, c’mon. The only time she ever caved into the lures of the body without being in a relationship first was in a moment of poor decision making and no condom. Muse B, more popular and likable than Muse A could ever hope to be, ensnares her and she catches feelings for him, knowing that he probably would never go for a girl like her.
Muse A could be wrong, but the most important thing is to come clean and tell Muse B that she’s pregnant. Muse B takes it well, surprisingly, and offers to do what he can to help with the baby. Muse A makes it clear she doesn’t expect him to marry her, but she’d like to keep the baby and he’s welcome to be in its life.
Muse B, a real socialite, rises to the occasion without hesitation, wanting to be there for the child. He was abandoned by his father not long after he was born and swore to never be that kind of man. But as time goes on and he accompanies Muse A to some appointments and helps with shopping for the necessary items, really begins to fall for her. He notices his thoughts becoming consumed with her and thinks he might actually be in...love?

Six long time friends reunited for their annual gathering. This year, instead of their usual week at one of their homes drinking their lives away, they chose the pristine beaches of an island resort. They fly over the sparkling waters to this picturesque destination where the breeze is light and cool and smells of the sea. Everyone is smiling and having a good time and the vibe is good. The group arrives to the rather nice hotel, minds ready and willing for the wide variety of adventures that would ensue. Except there was a mix-up at the hotel.
In an accidental overbooking, it seems that the resort doesn’t have the three suite villa available that the group had reserved. All that was available was a two bedroom suite in the main building of the resort. Enough room for four people. There was another room available, the group just wouldn’t be able to all stay together in the same suite. So now this is the big question. Which two of the friends were going to have to get split up from the group? Of course, basically everyone was dating someone they were already sore over leaving for a whooooole week to come here.
Character A, loud and rambunctious with a thirst for adventure, pipes up first. “Sure. Why not? I’m cool with any one of these people here.” But that still leaves the matter of the second person that would be staying in the separate room. It’s reserved and calculated Character B* who speaks next, eyes barely glancing over the novel cradled in their hands while they did so. “I guess I can’t see the harm. I did want to get some reading done while I’m here. Be a good chance with less people around.” And of course they knew Character B didn’t dislike the group or want to alienate them. Just as Character A was enthusiastic about social interaction and was always the life of the party, Character B was enthusiastic about their career goals and hobbies and always loved a good book.
Characters A and B are taken to their room, parting ways just outside the lobby as their room wouldn’t even really be all that close together to the group’s. For the reservation being messed up, the hostess leading them to their accommodations informs them that they will be upgraded to one of the open-ocean facing bungalows nestled in the shallow waters of the resort next to a private beach. The bungalow is comfortably temperature controlled, featuring artwork and styled furnishings to add ambiance to the room. They were more than satisfied with the hotel’s amendment of their mistake.
Character A and B wind up spending a lot of time together, starting on the very first day of the trip and it becomes evident right away that the two actually didn’t have the clearest perception of the other to begin with. It isn’t until their friendship is tested by the events on their vacation that lead them to realize there might be a little bit more than friends building between them…

In The Sands Of Egypt
Deep in the sands of the modern-day Sahara along the Nile River, Muse A, an archaeologist (or archaeology enthusiast) gets the chance to tour and study the ancient tombs. A true scholar, Muse A only wishes to research the tombs rather than excavate them completely. One high noon observing the surrounding buildings, Muse A stops off into what once was a temple to look at dusty parchment scrolls from so many years ago. Some of them seemed like spells, even, though Muse A couldn't read most of the ancient characters. He takes several photos to document sections for later review with his professor before returning to camp. Back home, Muse A attempts to read some of the text aloud from the photo of a page, unintentionally summoning Kliou all the way from ancient Egypt right to their bedroom!
But it seems the other archaeologists hadn't been honest scholars and raided the tombs for a few various items. Kliou tells Muse A of a scroll removed from a sacred spot that gets opened without performing the proper ritual required to prevent a demon from the Underworld to come to destroy the earth. The contract can only be created to seal the beast once more, but how?
Secrets of the Mer
Muse A moves to a sea town to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. They take a job as a fisherman to pay the bills, though they still find time to hit the library to fuel the former flame of their past life as a student. One night while out fishing, Muse A makes quite the catch. And it's Muse B?!
In the weeks of talking and dating, not once had Muse B mentioned that they were half fish! The surprise takes Muse A aback, but Muse B could really use their help and companionship. It's also a plus that Muse B is able to dive for fish that can't be seen from above the surface. Muse A decides to try and continue to get to know Muse B despite one of their fishy exteriors and find themselves opened to the vast and unknown world of magic and the sea.
The Girl from Over There
Muse A sees Muse B walking through the courtyard one day and finds themselves immediately enraptured by her. They try to gain the courage to just speak to her over the passing weeks, but the nerve fails them each time they get close. As luck would have it, one day, Muse A stumbles upon Muse B who is rather intoxicated. It sucks for it to be their first meeting, but Muse A helps the woman to her apartment where she swings them into her spare-bedroom-studio and bond over painting. Muse A never pegged themselves to be Muse B's type, but romance evolves as the two start going out to enjoy the town. The girl struggles with a dark past despite her efforts to lead a normal life, but Muse A can't help but keep falling for her.
