  Welcome to the House of Horrors RP. The House of Horrors is a top secret government facility in which children who are believed to have paranormal/magical abilities are tested. This facility has existed for several decades.

  As Told By Sharon Holmes:
  Every couple weeks, for the last three decades, the government has kidnapped children from a neighborhood nearby their facility and brought them to their facility. The children are tortured in countless ways to see if they have powers. Some are electrocuted every day to see if they can control electromagnetic currents, some get objects thrown at them every day to see if they have telekinesis, some are deprived of water to see if they are hydrokinetic, many children suffer every day. Then when the government is done with them, they throw the children away like a child throws away old toys. They children are locked away and left to die after they have outgrown their usefulness. For the last three decades, I have watched and waited, trying to help the children in any way possible. But now, I will not just watch and wait anymore. It is time to act and expose the US government. All the people in the nearby town have been evacuated and new people have replaced them. Either robots or people willing to put their life on the line have taken the places of the people in the town. There are also new children in the town too. They have agreed to be captured so that they can infiltrate the facility.
  Side note: If you decide to be a fake child, your first RP post will be about the capturing of the fake children.

  Types of Characters:
  Child at the Facility
  Your character can be a child that has been locked away after they could no longer be experimented on
  Only a fraction of the children at the facility actually have magical or very strong powers. Your character does not have to have extremely strong or any powers.
  “Infiltration Child” (kid working to infiltrate the facility)
  All the “infiltration” children are either very magically gifted or very smart on the area of survival or combat.
  
  Your character can have any sort of power, as long as the power is described.
  
  
  More About the Facility
  The facility started during World War III when scientists were trying to find ways to enhance the ability of soldiers. The scientists started out experimenting on rats and injecting various medicines to see if it would enhance their natural abilities but after Fenrir took over, it turned into an abuse facility. All the former staff were either fired or executed and new staff replaced them. Fenrir is a greedy man and his goal is to figure out how to get the magical abilities of the children so that he can achieve power. Besides forcing children to use their powers, a large amount of blood is drawn from the children each day, and they are subject to whippings and unfair treatment.
  
  
  
  
  
  The facility building appears to be abandoned but it actually has a modern and clean interior. All the windows are either boarded up or are one-way-visible. The facility is also soundproof so people cannot hear the screams and cries.

  Children’s Schedule:
  4:30 a.m. ~ wake up
  to 4:45 a.m. ~ breakfast delivered to jail cell
  to 5:00 a.m. get ready for the day/housekeeping
  to 8:00 a.m. ~ grueling chores
  to 11:00 a.m. ~ experimenting aka torture time
  to 12:00 p.m. ~ lunch in dining hall
  to 12:30 p.m. ~ public service announcements
  to 1:00 p.m. ~ punishment time (children's hospital are “misbehaving” are whipped or sent to the silent cell)
  to 5:00 p.m. ~ experimenting time aka torture time

  to 8:30 p.m. ~ dinner in dining hall
  9:00 p.m. ~ lights out for children under 13

  fingerprint locks - All doors in the facility can only be accessed with your fingerprint. The staff are the only ones who can open the doors. Sharon Holmes has added all the infiltration children’s fingerprints to the security system so they can access all the doors.
  traveling tubes - These are tubes that bring you to wherever you wish, just say the command and step into the tube. There is one in the surveillance room (with all the views of the facility), one in the staff lounge, one in Fenrir’s office, and one on Sharon’s office.
  holograms - These are images/live video recordings of something that can be projected. Most of the time when Fenrir travels around the facility, he uses a hologram to avoid injury.
  SpyFlyz™ - These are fake flies who are actually robots. Their eyes are actually cameras. They record everything they see and send them to Fenrir so he can make sure that the children aren’t resisting. Since Sharon Holmes is head of the security, she uses the flies to collect evidence of abuse and to make sure the children are okay.
  electricuting cuff - This is a cuff worn by all the children at the facility. The staff all carry a button around. If they are misbehaving, the staff are allowed to click the button. One click electricutes anybody wearing the cuff that is near the button. Two clicks taser anybody close to the button. Only Fenrir and Sharon have a tasing feature on their button. If you see a staff member take out their button, you better run fast!

  Please be available for at least one day a week.
  Do not post twice in a row. If nobody posts after 24 hours, then you are welcome to post.
  When you post, make sure to add the name of your character, where they are, and who they are interacting with. If it is an NPC character, tag me. ( radical )
  Please be aware that if you do not post your character sheet in time, we may start the roleplay without you.
  NO GODMODDING!
  Only control your characters, do not manipulate other people’s characters. Please also do not monopolize the RP to your advantage.
  Do not injure other people’s characters! You are only allowed to if you have permission but ask them in the OOC.
  If you get injured, go to the infirmary.
  Since it is part of the roleplay for the staff to heavily mistreat the characters (without killing them), please be aware that your characters will be injured during the roleplay. They will not be injured all the time but probably ⅔ of the RP.

Where do the robots fit in? I have a streak of roleplaying as robots atm.

edit: some sort of scientist or nurse would be fine as well I think. Had experience RP-ing as one.

Say, what might happen if my character were to defend himself/herself against the staff?

Most of the staff and also Fenrir are scared of more powerful children though so if your character is very powerful, the staff will be scared to punish them you could use that to your advantage.

This is just my opinion, but a power limit would be nice to avoid OP characters. If the characters can easily win against staff then there's not a massive challenge

Wendigo_ I think I will add an electrocution leash. The staff can carry a button around and if a character is harming the staff, then they can press it and it will electrocute them. The first press will cause electrocution but two presses causes tasing. I think only Fenrir's and Sharon should be able to tase the children.
